What breakfast? No working facilties for breakfast in room and none offered by guesthouse

No coffee in rooms, lighting bad, alternations not complete. Never warned that alternations were being done during stay

The environment was perfect.

The nonsupply of hot water didn't go down well with me. Understandable after load shedding but inexcusable more than 8hrs after restoration of electricity.

Booking was confirmed via e mail and on arrival they said the do not work threw bookings.com anymore so had to find alternative accommodation very bad experience with bookings.com

The receptionist was better than the accommodation. That's for sure.

First of all, I had a R300 cash and R200 in my account and I wanted to pay that way, but I was made to walk 1.5km to a nearby atm to withdraw cash. Secondly, as soon as I walked into the bedroom, the room had a bad smell, the pillows were smelling terribly, the shower was dirty and the least said about the bed the better. The bad was extremely terrible, broken and making lots of sounds. I count sleep all night with my partner. You would never eat for made from their kitchen. Its in a terrible state. And guess what: I called the guesthouse manager George and talk to him about my experience in his place. You know what he said? I he said why didn't I leave immidiately I saw the place was on that state. This was after I asked him if he really charged me R500 for that. He said he reads our reviews but has never seen anything regarding the state of his beds. The guys is a joke, much like his place. I will never, ever irrespective of how desperate I am, book in his place. He is arrogant and ignorant. But I guy I guess that's what your get when you go for guesthouses owned by a foreign national who does not care about anything else but money. I am sorry to say this and this si my first review here on booking.com ever in years and I am extremely disappointed at the level of service and how the guy took me for. He thought he was just talking g to a young naive and stupid boy.
