About this house rental
Very large upstairs living room, adjacent bathroom, large dining room, and open kitchen! Each bedroom has a TV and Amazon Firestick (bring your own streaming service, and please log out when you depart). Kodi media player installed as well, just load the application and you can AirPlay music in almost every room. Fastest internet plan on the island (make sure your rental has internet if you need it for you or your kids), large screen HDTV (75" Samsung) in living room and kitchen. Hardwood floors throughout. Very rare for Avalon - AC and gas heating upstairs, plus AC in master bedroom. Large kitchen with stove, oven, and microwave. Semi-open atrium & vintage player piano (ask about access to the scrolls). VONS market across the street, no need to bring any food, or carry them up the hills to other properties. 24" gaming monitor available for work or play. DVD players available. Outside BBQ - if you like to cook at home or save some money on eating out, make sure your rental has one! Two brand new leather queen memory foam sofa sleepers. Early Check-in and Late Check-out potentially available depending on other bookings, house keeping availability, and other factors. Additional fees may apply if available and a rush for house keeping. Folding wagon for easy trips too and from the beach! 120 quart cooler if you want to pack a full day trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lance's place. Perfectly located with groceries right across the street. Lots of comfy sleeping areas and easy walk to everything in Avalon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This home is perfect for anyone visiting Avalon for either a quick getaway or a longer stay. The location is 5 minutes from the waterfront and having the Von's directly across the street is super convenient. The home was clean, well-organized, and very comfortable for our group of 7 people. Avalon is a fantastic spot and we will be back.

The house was in the perfect place, close to the beach and business district. We had small children and adults together in the house which caused a bit of noise issues from walking around upstairs and the sleeping downstairs. Overall it was wonderful

We enjoyed our stay, the location served our family well. We did struggle with the electronic door lock but particularly appreciated the player piano.

This property was excellent, spacious, and just the relaxation we needed. Close enough to the city that the kids could go into town when they wanted. Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most of our meals since Vons is so convenient. The property owner was responsive and very helpful. Overall a lovely place to stay.

We loved the location, close to everything with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable family room. Upon arrival, the entrance code could not be activated which was problematic as we couldn't leave our bags as we were told we could. It would have been helpful to have written instructions in the unit with the wifi, and other basic information, which was not provided. The house was very cold during evenings/nights, with no apparent heating (only air con) -- ideal for summer but not fall/winter.

The location is extremely convenient to all Catalina attractions. Plenty of room for 7 and the A/C was good to have. We had some issues with the keypad door lock but everything else was as described. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location - walking distance to everything. The house had ample space to sleep 8 and a large living room and kitchen. Lance also was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

I don’t often do reviews but I really felt like there’s some things that I would wanna know before I stayed in this house again. I traveled with my husband, my 72 year old mother and my 16-year-old daughter. At first sight this house is cute and exactly across the street from Vons supermarket. That did make it convenient to get groceries however there was no wagon or a way to transport the items from the grocery store other than carry it. We stayed for 5 days so we had a lot of groceries to get over however what I did find out is that you can push the shopping cart over from bonds without it locking the wheels and should be able to unload on your porch. This house when we booked it said it had a golf cart which was one of the main reasons we decided to go with this one and not stay in a hotel however we were notified about a month and a half after we upped it that it was down for maintenance and ideally it would be hopefully repaired when we got there which it wasn’t. This made it very difficult to get my mother around because in order for her to walk down to the main street it’s a solid 3 to 4 blocks Away so we had to rent a wheelchair every day to be able to move her around.

Perfect large upstairs kitchen, dining & living room area for the whole family to gather for meals & games. It's located right across the street from the grocery store which makes bringing all the groceries needed for a large group or last minute items very easy. Lance was very good at communicating with us & the home had everything that we need. We will definitely be back.

Awesome Catalina Home
We came for a group family celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lance was extremely accommodating and helpful. The house is extremely well stocked and spacious. We love Catalina and have stayed many places here. We look forward to staying at this great house again!

birthday weekend getaway
There were 8 adults. It was very comfortable. My wife and I slept on one of the upstairs hide-a-bed couches for four nights. It was surprisingly comfortable. I would describe it as very firm; like a futon mattress. This was our third trip to Avalon. The location of this home is hard to beat.

Fantastic, comfortable and sunny
We had a great stay! This property was in the perfect location, just a short walk from the ferry dock, waterfront and grocery!
The house is pretty, well equipped and comfortable! The TV was fun for movie night. The beds very comfortable!
We loved staying at this house and would definitely stay again if we return to Catalina Island!

Just as described. Located across from Vons and quick walk downtown. You can easily walk from the ferry to the house. It has all the amenities, but the rooms are a bit cool in the winter months, but there were heaters and extra blankets in the closets. Definitely are great stay.

Master bedroom gets a little loud early with all of the golf carts and the other bedrooms are back to back (walk through one to get to the other) but pretty typical in Avalon. Short walking distance to everything.

A property with a Great location on Catalina Island
This property was in a great location , close to everything. I might caution about steep stairs. I also would say sleeps 6 in beds. Owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with always.

Great place for family vacation
We had a wonderful time! Communication with Lace was great! He was very responsive and helpful. The location was right in town which made it a short walk to everything. The three bedrooms are all downstairs which was nice to have all the kids on the same floor. Overall, a great stay!

Lance's property in Avalon is great!
To start, the location is perfect. Being right across the street from Vons was very convenient, and it is only a few min walk to the beach. It is a busier corner, but the sound wasn't too bad, and the city really goes to sleep very early anyway.
The size of the house is great too! With all the bedrooms on the lower level, our kids could be downstairs sleeping and we didn't have to worry too much about staying up and having some drinks upstairs. The bedrooms are all a decent size too. We were able to have a pack n play in the master, and still be able to walk around the bed.
Lance was very clear in the rental agreement that the stairs are quite steep, so we were prepared for that, and the non-slip paint on them certainly helped.
All the appliances seemed to work just fine for us, but we didn't try and use the oven. The BBQ in back looked new.
All the rental homes in Avalon are going to be on the older side it seems, but this one has been well taken care of, and it looks like Lance is continuing to update it over time. I'd happily stay at this home again when we return to Avalon.
