Entire house, recently updated, single floor plan, sleeps four , two bedrooms , one with a king bed and one with a full size bed, washer and dryer, private parking off of the alley , behind the house. Located in one of Sturgeon Bays shopping district. next to a fun antique store and the back yard opens to a very popular coffee shop, 5th and J, and Jefferson Street shops, walking distance to other downtown eateries, Saturday farmers market and beaches. I’m finally getting around to a review of my/our stay Sat, Aug 12 to Sun, Aug 27 of 2023. Suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return again. If you read no further, I will summarize with: great location from which to base and see all you want in Door County and also a great place to stay for a week+ stay.
Key attributes for a positive stay: the small house was clean throughout! That makes a big difference. Also loved the greeting chocolate on the counter and having the kitchen to make basic breakfasts and dinners. So nice to have a clean kitchen to start with. Easy access to coffee next door or to make it in the kitchen.
The bathroom had plentiful towels and other amenities for the duration of the stay and just as importantly had a stacked washer & dryer that came in really handy since I was there for almost 3 weeks.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking stuff and plates and utensils though we didn’t find pot holders so making pizza one night had me scrambling for something to help pull it out of the oven. Meanwhile, there is no dishwasher so for a longer stay when you’re cooking, you’ll just have to handle the dish washing yourself. But not to worry, there are soaps and sponges and what you need to clean up.
The good wifi throughout the house was helpful and appreciated.
The chairs out back were nice to take advantage of on nice summer evenings.

We enjoyed our weekend stay in the cottage. Marilyn was super nice and provided information and chocolates for us upon our arrival. We loved how the cottage was centrally located, and the coffee house right next door was a gem! The cottage was super clean and modern. It was our first visit to Door County and my kids already want to go back. My three year old won’t stop talking about the green ‘cation (vacation) house…

Spotless, very comfortable stay at this roomy cottage. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought and care into making this a little home away from home. Comfortable bed, nice linens and basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, oil, coffee and tea were a nice touch. We were thrilled having a great cafe and coffee shop in our backyard.

This is a great place for a get-away weekend. The location is terrific, walking distance to all of Sturgeon Bay downtown and just a couple of blocks from the TAP Theater. Marilyn was so welcoming and easy to work with, and the home is very comfortable and well-appointed. A wonderful place to stay!

My daughter & I had a wonderful week staying at this cute cottage! Filled with everything needed to cook at home, this cozy home away from home is perfect! Marilyn even left some delightful chocolates with the nicest welcome note. Marilyn is always very responsive & even made sure we knew about the Christmas parade, tree lighting & storefront unwrapping! So much fun! Located minutes from main street shopping with delightful stores & wonderful employees! Fresh bread, cupcakes & great food at a local cafe & a short 45 minute drive to Green Bay.
Excellent nearby wineries and cheese & cherries in Door County.

We have loved Door for many years and this was a good place to stay. Don’t let the outside influence your opinion—-it’s very cozy and a great location. King sized bed is a plus. We had an issue with “an odor”. Marilyn was quick to respond

This property was well appointed and afforded anticipated features. Just right for a couple. Very convenient to city center for those seeking a variety of dining and retail experiences. The 5&J Bistro adjacent and off street parking at the rear door were both pluses. The hosts welcoming gift of specialty chocolates was an exceptional surprise

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! Being anchored in Sturgeon’s Bay was perfect for our family. We enjoyed exploring all that Door County has to offer, returning home each day to this charming, peaceful spot. The property was immaculate and my 2 year old has been crying all the way home he wants to go back to the “green house.” Highly recommend! We’ll be back.

We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! We stayed at the house with our two kids, ages 20 and 22. It was a great homebase to explore all of Door County. We did different day trips each day and ended up back in this warm and comfy house every evening where there was lots of space for playing games and hanging out. The coffee shop across the yard is amazing, such a great spot to hang out in the shade of the big trees and play games or read in the hammocks. Discovered lots of great restaurants in Sturgeon Bay also - Sonny’s for pizza on the water, Scaturos bakery for amazing (and so inexpensive!) cookies and baked treats, Get Real Cafe for breakfast, Waterfront Mary’s for outside lunch and games in the water. So much fun all around this super cute house! And did I mention the king size bed in the main bedroom is so incredibly comfortable?? We actually asked Marilyn where she got it so we can get one too - that never happens on a trip, I usually wake up feeling achey from a different bed! Marilyn was great at communicating, so friendly and helpful, and Bill even told my husband where to get in some Pickleball games in the mornings nearby at Sunset Park! Overall our stay completely exceeded our expectations - highly recommend it!!!

We had a great time in Door County, using this little home as our home base for a week. The place is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants of 3rd Street. It has a very well appointed kitchen which was greatly appreciated. The only drawback is the road noise from being on Business 42, which kept our 11 year old up for a bit in the evenings.

Great property, great location
Very nice house great for a family to stay in. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. The house was clearly recently renovated and kept up. It was in a great neighborhood and there is a nice little Cafe right next door to get breakfast or your morning coffee. The host is great was able to respond to all our inquiries fast. Grocery stores were also a 5 minute drive away. Very pleasant stay!

We'll maintained cute little property. Perfect location as a base of operations for our forays into Door County. Coffee shop next door was closed for the weekend which we were bummed about but there were several other restaurants within a 3 to 5 blk walk. Would definitely stay there again!
