Wonderful and relaxing. Beautiful lake view boat dock and fishing. Breathtaking sun rises and moon rises Our property is situated on the main channel of Lake Wateree near the state park. We live on the premise to take care of maintenance of pool, grounds, and any other thing that might have a problem or break. We love having you visit and hope you will enjoy your vacation. We try very hard to keep our distance from our guests unless otherwise invited. We also offer food delivery and stock the fridge service. Please look over our menu. My family and i had a wonderful stay. Off the beaten path for sure, which is what we wanted. Goes without saying the backyard including the outdoor living room, pool table, kitchen, POOL, deck, grill, etc etc was where we speant pretty much all our time. Lake view was amazing. Got to go kayaking, fishing right off the dock, and saw lots of wildlife.
Neighbors we briefly met were super friendly and so were Hope and Marty. We didnt get to mingle with them as much as others did unfortunately.
Some some things of note for future guests: closest grocery store is a minimum of 20 minutes away, along with any local town. If you plan to use their kayaks - i would recommend bring your own life jackets. They had a some there but were are for sure for smaller adults (lets just say im a big guy). And - in case it mattera, no tv's in the bedrooms, not that we needed them.

This was our 1st family getaway since Covid and I have to say, it was wonderful. The pictures of the house online do NOT give it justice. It is really pretty inside, very clean and absolutely has all your needs. The pool was truly awesome and very large. We enjoyed it tremendously. The guys enjoyed fishing morning, afternoon and late into the evening. There was something for everyone. Hope and Marty are nearby but never once intruded except to bring some yummy veggies from their garden, Very welcome treat! We will definitely put this house on our list for another possible vacation getaway.

This house had everything we could ever need
The views were amazing the pool was perfect. The outside kitchen we so enjoyed the amenities pool table putt putt horseshoes outside rv sitting area Great fully stocked house all we needed was food .
The owners brought us fresh vegetables outta their garden they cleaned the pool every morning. Such nice people. Plenty of parking
We will be back .. we have been renting vacation homes on this lake for 25 years and This is our New Favorite spot!!!

We had a great time and the fun amenities were just as expected and kept us and our guests entertained all weekend! The kids had a blast in the pool, Pitt putt, horse shoes, fishing etc and the adults had fun late into the evenings. Hope and Marty are great people and made it even better.
The only thing was it was not made totally clear that they live in a (almost) connected home. Their home does connect to the pool deck. I did some research online before booking and figured that out on my own. Asked direct questions and didn’t get quite direct answers. Not until after I had it booked.
So, we booked it knowing this because it wasn’t critical to us having fun. Afterward, we feel like we made some new friends in Hope and Marty! So, a huge relief that the owners are super cool people!
But, we do feel like this is a fact that should be known ahead of time for others to consider.
Thanks to Hope and Marty! We would definitely rent this house again!

Home was beautiful. Lots to do on the property to keep you entertained. Tranquil and quiet. In the middle of nature! Home has everything you need. Dockside Divas delivered ready to bake pizza at a great price! Need to order a couple days ahead though. Many more options. Property owners very welcoming and friendly through the entire stay. Loved my time here!

Our 3 generation family of 19 were able to come and go from Friday to Sunday at this property and its convenient location from Columbia and Charlotte. All of us had a great time at the lake, the pool and the boats our kids brought. Easy water access. Gran and Pops had a nice quiet day Monday. Hope, Marty, Mark and Teri were all so welcoming. Your won't regret a booking with this family.

My family really enjoyed the time spent at this location. We liked how we had access to put in our boat and dock it at night as well. We spent most of time on the boat or in the pool. Great view and a great place to stay.

Peaceful and pleasant getaway.
We had a very pleasant time at this home. The house was clean and welcoming and the outside deck, games and pool were nice as well.
The owners were very helpful and friendly and the area was peaceful and private. They do have little dogs but kept them mostly quiet during our stay.
Bring your own groceries! There is not much in the way of shopping in the immediate area. There is a convenience store/gas station/bait shop where you can pick up a few essentials and a pizza or two. There are also a couple of restaurants. Lake Wateree State Park is right down the road for hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and camping. The State Park also has a convenience store with drinks/toys/ice cream/essentials.
Most of the nearby-ish excitement is in Columbia, where we visited the Riverbanks Zoo. It's just under an hour drive from the house.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax with your family, this house is ideal. It's spacious, clean and well maintained. It has a pool, putting green, pool table, plenty to keep everyone entertained! The lake views are impressive and there are kayaks available to make the most of the great waterside location. It's close to the Wateree State Park too, with a lovely hike, kid's playground etc. The owners are very friendly and helpful with anything you might need. If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax with your family, this house is ideal. It's spacious, clean and well maintained. We loved staying there, it was the private pool that really made it that much better. Although the outdoor kitchen and pool table and full scale night club lights and sound system were also amazing. We took our dog with us and there was plenty of grassed space for her to do her business. Kids love the huge sectional sofa and good wifi access. Has plenty of parking if you were to bring your boat we just rented one as they’re very affordably priced. All in all it was an amazing place that we would gladly revisit.

Everything was as expected in comparison to the pictures and there were tons of options for things to do at the property so you won't ever be bored! Would definitely go back!

Relaxing town, but lot's of fun stuff at the house!
You could not ask for more activities right at your fingertips at this property. A pool, putting green, games, outdoor bar, fire pit, dock, and lots of places to lounge...all overlooking the lake (which by the way is VERY clean). And we were able to bring our pups, which makes it more fun. The family who owns and manages the property are so friendly and helpful. The neighbors are great as well. Although there are a few great boutiques and antique stores in town, Winnsboro is a very small, quiet town, so don't expect much in the way of fancy restaurants. But that didn't not matter, because the house if fully stocked with everything you need to cook or grill. The Wifi connection was solid, which was very important to us, since my husband and I both work remotely. We stayed an entire week and have many fun memories to keep. Thanks Marty and Hope.
