Sunset Waves is a lovely complex with great facilities. The pool areas are excellent and the staff at the pool bar very helpful and friendly. If staying at this complex, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS APARTMENT!!

On checking in, we paid our €250 cash deposit as required. The host did not walk round the property with us, we were not given an inventory of items in the property, and we were not given a receipt for the cash payment. When checking out, the host walked round the property, then told us our entire deposit would be blocked due to a missing remote control in one of the bedrooms. We had not used any of the TV’s so were unaware if the remote was even there when we arrived. We certainly did not take the missing item as accused, why would we? After discussing the cost of a new remote control against the amount of deposit paid, she then said we would have to pay €25. The host had arrived late, and we had to leave to get our airport transfer, so we were forced to pay the €25 in order to get the rest of our deposit back and leave the property on time. This is a total SCAM. The host did not even check the kitchen, or the balcony for damage or breakages. The cleanliness of the property definitely was not exceptional, more like just about acceptable. There was only two toilet rolls between 5 people for 3 nights, which is unacceptable. We were only given one set of keys which created difficulty when our group wanted to split up, the host’s answer to this was “one apartment, one set of keys” this is totally ridiculous for a 3 bedroom apartment.
