Will definitely stay again
The cottage was a 10 minute stroll into the town centre, 5 minutes to the bus station, tucked away in a quiet residential street. On street parking was free, and we always managed to park directly outside the property, despite the fact that we were staying during one of the busiest weekendsof the year with two festivals taking place at the same time. The beds were super comfy, the shower was great with a strong head of plentiful hot water. The fixtures and fittings were excellent quality, and the whole property was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack on arrival was lovely, with all of the basics including ground coffee for the filter coffee machine.
We loved everything

It was like a ‘home from home’, a very peaceful location, fantastic views. The hosts had thought of everything, including a lovely welcome pack.

Clyne is a perfect location for exploring a beautiful and relative undiscovered part of Britain.
The location is perfect, with wonderful views out over the town. The cottage itself is immaculate and one of the most comfortable and well equipped we've ever stayed in. Very quiet too - even more than our cottage in a tiny village in mid-Norfolk!
Maybe one or two small books about the local area would have been nice but that's really icing on the cake!

Never been to the Moray coast before. Will be coming back.
The cottage was really well equipped with what you'd expect to find in your own kitchen, including a teapot (you would be surprised at the number of places that don't provide one, so well done David and Fiona for doing that), with a small, south-facing garden overlooking the west of the city. There is a picnic bench in the garden and a wall-mounted washing line (washing machine provided, of course). The cottage is idea for 2 but could accommodate 4 (there are 2 bedrooms and plenty of storage space). Wifi connection is excellent (network & p/w provided). The location was perfect. We travelled to Elgin and around the district by public transport and the city centre and access to shops, supermarkets, the bus station was very easy on foot - a 10 minute walk at most. You can walk to the railway stating but it takes about 25 minutes. Elgin itself is very well provided with resources - lots of supermarkets, a leisure centre (which charged my wife £2.90 for a swim compared with twice that where she normally goes) and a 3-screen cinema (open Wednesday - Sunday) if you want to catch a film. The town even has a Scottish League 2 football team (Elgin City), so you can take in a game if there's one on, a tennis club, a golf club (it's Scotland!). There are some small local shops (we never found a greengrocers but maybe we never looked hard enough) and the cashmere shop (Johnston's of Elgin) is very nice, if you like that sort of thing. Amazingly, the vast majority of that is within walking distance of Clyne Cottage Visiting Aberdeen and Inverness by train is easy and there are good bus services to places along the coast (Lossiemouth, Buckie) so there are plenty of opportunities for days out. We were lucky to see dolphins swimming in the sea off Aberdeen too.
There is a TV but you will need to bring details of your own passwords for streaming services. The cottage name is also not easily found by taxi services because the name (Clyne) on the gate is all but invisible. Maybe a wall mounted name plate would help.

Relaxing stay in comfortable cottage
great location, amazing views overlooking Elgin. short walk into centre and well located in terms of exploring local area but despite this very quiet street so feels away from centre.
