A beautiful little cottage, in a perfect location, well looked after and equipped. We were in Holmfirth attending a family wedding and we were never further than 4-5 mins walk from the property.
There was a very strong smell of dog urine in the kitchen. The owners did send cleaners again, but it had clearly soaked under the laminate. We asked several friends to pop in and tell us what they think. All said it was very strong animal urine. The cleaners told the owners they couldn’t smell it. But Dewey me, it ruined the stay.

It eas cosy
The stairs down to the bedroom and bathroom were very steep. Having to go the toilet was very scary going down the steps especially when it rained. And also to many hills and cobbles plus exhausted from carrying cases as can't park outside. With having mobility issues both the stairs and cobbles were a massive problem

Location was good, size of property was good, functioned as we needed for weekend away.
Spiked towels and dirty linen from previous guests still in bathroom. Contacted as required in welcome pack but still no response to this from Skye cottages and booking.com.
Parking is not located at property but it really should be highlighted better as on the advert it states parking is available which is misleading.
The property also suffers from damp and you can smell it when you get into the property.

Location superb 100yards from centre of town and loads going on especially in the evening
There were a couple of issues but the owner dealt with them promptly and to our satisfaction, parking is an issue but I sorted it

Fabulously located in the heart of Holmfirth and very close to shops, pubs and cafes. Really well resourced with everything thing you could possibly think of for a comfortable self catering stay. I’d definitely return and highly recommend.

Inaccessible to park anywhere near the property. Very steep cobbled paths and steep steps. Not suitable for for any elderly people. The steps up to the bedroom were hazardous. We could see into the adjoining house through a gap near the fridge!

A container of road salt in the garden would have been useful as our stay was during a very icey spell in December. That is not a dislike, neither are weather conditions controllable.

There was no where to park very narrow streets and I think for other resident who may have difficulty walking should be told about the steps . Had to lug the luggage quite a way

Clean, cosy, great location, super easy check in. Will definitely be back to this cottage as family live nearby. The bedroom is large and the bathroom/shower is great.. Downstairs is well equipped. Love that you're a walk away from the local pubs and town.
Parking could have been easier, but honestly we found somewhere super close by
