This is the second time we stayed there and love it. We are planning on another trip there next year and will be trying

Location and the house!

There was only one wash rag, not enough hand towels for the bathrooms, no dishwasher soap, no potholders and no laundry soap. I called as soon as we got there and asked for hand towels and wash rags but they never brought us any.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Beautiful decor.

The air conditioning was not sufficient. We were unable to stay past the first day. I contacted vacasa and was told they would look into it not working and to just wait while I and my four children are dripping sweat. We waited an hour and called back with literally no further information. I also informed them that every mini split had visible mold, which is terrible when you have a child with epilepsy. The garage smelled of mildew and was so so strong. We left that afternoon. We were supposed to be there for another four days. I had to pay for a hotel in order to save my family vacation.

Ripped off and cheated

Rented the blue house that’s in the picture. Arrived and it was actually a garage apartment. Fraudulent advertising. single mom that saved for ONE vacation in years and this is what I got!

Peace and Relaxation

Location! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, Pleasure Pier, and a 5 min drive to the Galveston Convention Center.

The AC leaked in one of the bedrooms, and during the peak of the day when the temperature rose outside so did the inside of the house.

FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! USE EXPEDIA! Don’t rent this property, you won’t get what you see in the pictures but a diff

Don’t rent this property, you won’t get what you see in the pictures but a different property. Not the only renter with the same complaint, booked it thinking it was the Beachy whale but there are 2 properties under the same name. So beware, didn’t end up staying and lost out on my money booking won’t refund and apparently this is managed by Vacasa.com who posted the misleading photos because they want people to rent the charming Whale. Both Booking and Vacasa are responsible but no one wants to take the blame for it. Don’t book this property you won’t get what you paid for and you won’t get your money back either. Terrible customer service on both ends would never use them again. Very Dodgy people to deal with and will be reporting to Corporate and filing a fraud claim with the BBB. Clearly they don’t have any photos of the charming whale on this site which is very misleading. I was told by Javee I would get my refund to check back in a week that an internal investigation would be opened on Vacasa who posted the misleading photos on booking. The booking rep then asked if I took a photo of the property when I arrived at the location clearly using that tactic to try to get out of it the photos are obviously on Vacasa’s web page but wrong photos are posted on booking. DON’T BOOK!!!

Very nice house with quick walk to the beach but some drawbacks and downsides.

The house was well designed and thought out - we really enjoyed the multiple bedrooms, laundry room, and how close the house is to the beach and pier.

From the front part of the house, you can hear everything that happens on the street - like cars going by, people talking on the streets. During the day it’s not bad, but at night it can be annoying if you’re in that part of the house. Also, the internet didn’t work during our stay even though we were connected to the Wi-Fi. The washer machine had some mold and mildew in it and the gas stove top made a clicking noise on low but not on high.

COUNLD NOT LOG IN TO WIFI NO BATTERIES IN THE REMOTES COULD NOT GET TVS ON IN ANY ROOM WAISTED MY TIME ON PHONE COMPLAING AND TRY TO GEY ISSUES RESOLVED INSTEAD OF ENJOYING MYSELF HAD TO CALLED MORE THAN ONCE AND SPEND OVER 30 MIN AT A TIME

Nice, excellent location.

Location was amazing. Hard to find. Home was clean. Fresh white towels were on the beds. Beach chairs were in the garage and were available.

No working televisions or internet. No batteries in the remote controls. Looking at previous reviews this place appears to not have internet for some time. This should be resolved or removed as an amenity item. I thought we had rented The Beachy. Had no idea we rented the Charming Whale until I pulled into the alley. This should be two separate listings.

It was nice but I wished the wifi worked!

clean and close to everything

The wifi didn’t work in the bedrooms or my phone. I tried the password multiple times and it wouldn’t connect. The password was incorrect and should be updated. I called customer service and was suppose to receive a call but I never did.
