It was a great quiet weekend surrounded by beautiful landscape. Short drive to Taquamenon State Park and Whitefish Point for hiking along the river or the beach, and there are also trails around the property in the woods. Loved being able to take our dog with us. Host was very good at communicating and making us feel welcome, and enjoyed watching the wildlife/birds he had feeders set out for. Kitchen was well-equipped. For a relaxing getaway, highly recommend!

We loved our stay in Paradise. The cabin we stayed in was clean and Nick was very responsive and helpful! Definitely a must stay!

Nick was a great host. He checked in with us several times to see if things were going well. His place, a dedicated portion of his house, is nicely done and well appointed. Everything needed was well supplied. The rental space has a private locked entrance and we never felt any lack of privacy. Nick was thoughtful and accommodating, including making suggestions for places to walk our dog, who accompanied us on our trip. Very satisfying stay. We would be happy to return any time.

The cabin was clean, well maintained and very comfortable.
It was very quiet at night except for neighbors' fireworks for pre-Independence Day. This allowed me to enjoy a very good quality of sleep, something I haven't had in years. We didn't realize it during our stay because we were attempting a digital detox, but Nick made sure we were comfortable and cared for in a timely manner. He was an excellent host. I would visit again if given the opportunity and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time with family and friends.

This was such an amazing place to stay. Nick was super easy to deal with. He was professional and kind. The place felt cozy and comfortable...like a home away from home. Thank you, Nick, for the wonderful experience ❤️

All you hear is the wind in the trees and the birds and chipmunks that inhabit the woods. The bed is a little firm but is more than made up for with the bath.
Make sure you're stocked up on meals to cook in the kitchen because not all restaurants are open during the week.
Be sure to visit the Falls and the Shipwreck Museum, and if it's open, get a pizza from Tahquamenon Pizza. Tasty and filling!

The house was clean and quiet, and it was fun watching the chipmunks run around.
We would have liked to seen better information of the area. There was a distances to local attractions but a map and directions would be helpful.
Also it would have been nice having a little bio of the owner because sharing a house with someone made us a little nervous not knowing anything about the owner.
All in all, it was a great trip and a nice home.

My wife and I had a great weekend at this beautiful cabin. It was well furnished, clean and organized and had a beautiful view with a hiking trail right out back. The place was just as advertised in the listing and we highly recommend it.

Exactly what we expected and wanted. Cozy, spacious, and perfectly located for trouncing through the frozen woods with my puppy. A couple of minor things, but nothing I didn't expect or overcame. Well furnished (wine bottle opener saved my life!). Nick was communicative and very nice. While there, we could tell no one else was in property, yes, read the print, attached living space. Overall, would do again! Thanks, Nick!

This house was great. The area is attached to another home but in the back. Very private. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I really liked the decor. Easy to find and close to town and the falls. I would definitely rent again.

This property is listed as a House when in fact it is 3 rooms and a back porch of an owner-occupied home. There is a photo of the front of the house in the listing which is entirely occupied by the owner of this home. On the way to this property my wife looked through the reviews and noticed that in one of the reviews stated that this was an occupied dwelling. She contacted the owner and he stated that he did in fact live in the home and that we were to drive around the north side of the home and park in the back. Unfortunately it was too late to cancel or rebook so we proceeded to the property. Upon arrival we were shocked that this listing did not disclosed the fact that we had actually rented rooms in the back of someone's house. You enter the property from a rear porch into a room which is a kitchen/dining area. There is a locked keyed door in the kitchen which appears to be accessible from the main residence. There is a bedroom and bathroom adjacent to the dining/kitchen area. There is a note that states the water has been tested but drinking is not recommended and spring water is provided or available in town. We were unable to find any spring water, however while searching we did find several areas with mouse feces.
We were very uneasy about staying at this property due to the fact that in the listing the owner did not disclose that he actually lived in the home, we were unable to find drinking water and there was the presence of mice in the rooms. We searched for other places to stay for about an hour and the closest hotel we could find was approximately an hour away so we booked room and left the property. I immediately messaged the owner and told him that we were leaving the property and that I expected a full refund for not disclosing the items mentioned, primarily that it was an occupied dwelling. The owner refused to issue a refund and stated that he told my wife that he lived there just prior to our arrival and we should have contacted VRBO at that point before we entered the space.
If you're looking to rent a couple of rooms with mice, an owner staying there with you, no drinking water, and a porch that overlooks a shoddy garage, this is the place for you! However, if you're looking for a private getaway for the weekend, look elsewhere as we have been vacationing in the UP of Michigan for over 30 years and there are some wonderful places to stay.

Paradise has a range of accommodations but for the price, and with the included amenities, this place is ideal. While I ended up having an abbreviated stay, I was impressed by the overall cleanliness in the interior rooms, pleasing decorations & thoughtful touches (there were even robes; & within the bathroom cabinets, I discovered Calgon Bath Crystals which made my bathing experience all that more luxurious). Personally, I think the jacuzzi tub makes this place an exceptional stand-out, especially after a long-day of hiking & bird-watching (just be careful after getting out of the tub - the bathroom floor can be slippery!). I thought the kitchen was well-equipped, especially with the JennAir ovens (built-in), microwave and more than enough utensils to prepare any meal. And, while it is attached to another residence, I never saw (or heard) anyone else. Overall, a delightful place & I’d be more than happy to return & rent again.

Nice, clean, quite place. Was surprised that it was not a single unit. However, it did not take away from the experience. It was stocked as described with nice little extras.....games, plastic wrap, baggies, etc. Communication from the owner was good. We stayed off season in mid April, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Quiet getaway
Paradise Michigan is a very quiet little town in the winter. If you are a snowmobiler or enjoy snowshoeing, there are a lot of trails to take advantage of.
The rental was nice. The weather for us, didn't cooperate for outside activities, but the host had a cabinet full of board games that entertained us. The porch was really nice and I imagine, in the summer would be great to hang out on and enjoy the crickets.
The only reason I didn't give it full 5 stars was that it was not anywhere in the listing that this is not the full house. It is the back half of a duplex. It wasn't BAD, just unexpected. As long as you know and are okay with that, this place was very nice. There is not a stove top, just hot plates, so plan accordingly.

Great getaway
Clean cabin with great views! This little gem is close to town but offers privacy too. The host has tons of suggestions on where to go and places to eat. Great communication and quick to respond to questions and concerns.

Great get away
Nick was a great host and always looks out for our best interests and any needs that we could possibly need. His property is beautiful with all the snow and birds. This was our first time staying at a Vrbo and Nick set a great precedent for us. We definitely enjoyed it and will plan it again at some point.

We spent our 10 year anniversary here and were not disappointed. Very clean and neat as shown in the pictures. Good location outside of Paradise. Snowmobile trail near the house and close to whitefish point. Great communication with the owner who went above and beyond. Comfortable bed. We were surprised to find out that this rental is the back half of a house with someone living or renting in the front. Also there isn't a traditional stove, but a 2 place countertop plug in burner. It worked great for our needs and we made a great meal. With being portable it gave you options on where to cook. We would definitely rent this place again when we travel north. Perfect 2 person getaway.
