This property is amazing! Some of the best views of lake Isabella. Kris (the property owner) is awesome. He gave us great tips of the local area. My wife and I would recommend this place to anyone.

This well cared for and unique property has many special touches which add to the feeling of living in the clouds. Hot tub with 180 deg views, sauna in bedroom for hot soaks, good Wi-Fi to stay connected, and beds with same terrestrial views. We will stay here again when in the area. Kris was a gracious and helpful host.

This is our 20th VRBO rental and our 12th house, as we return many times to some. We have always given 5-Star Ratings to our Hosts, and many of them showcase our photography on their VRBO websites and really honor us! We never had to give a truthful but sour rating. Not until now, sadly. On the morning of our departure, we received an unconscionable email that I simply will post in order to let it explain for itself, our poor rating-- "Good morning XXXX. We had a nice long talk on the telephone when you checked in. You seem like trustworthy people. So I have not bothered to look at my security camera, until now. It is a well documented security camera ,over the front deck. I realize looking back at the footage . You have been disabling the camera ,several times during your stay. covering it with something. If you had a problem with my camera. or you needed extra privacy .that would be an issue that you would have to bring up with me. You did not .you've made me very uncomfortable. and I find that incredibly disrespectful. What are you hiding. Check out is 11 AM. " The very photo that showcases this Property, is under 24/7 surveillance by the Owner Kris, and this is a violation of California Law. The Constitution guarantees the privacy of citizens, and when you are under video surveillance in an area where there is Reasonable Expectation for Privacy, you are in violation of law. Kris, I am publicly answering your unconscionable email that caused us to both feel so suddenly UNWELCOME and UNCOMFORATABLE that we literally threw all our gear into our vehicle and left your property feeling very violated! So I will answer you. I covered your intrusive video camera with a hat to indeed "hide something" like my beautiful, blonde, gorgeous wife from your paranoid prying eyes, and to keep you from breaking the Law of the State. The house was fair, outdated but a cabin and comfortable and quiet and safe. The view was worth it all. But to be treated like toddlers and being scolded for wanting some privacy after paying MONEY to be a Guest, is absolutely unprofessional and beyond the pale. I regret this review. But truth must be told.

Beautiful drive up to the house. Kris was great with communication. I had a hard time with service and couldn't communicate back Kris was also very accomadating. Gorgeous view once at the house and to and from. House was clean. Would stay again.

Peaceful, tranquil, and isolated..

Poorly maintained. Poor ventilation, unable to use out dated oven or grill without smoking up the house. Poor appliances overall, no microwave. Specific instructions for use of hot tub, that were followed, but hot tub is so fragile that owner will blame guests for water being "dirty" as he stated about the previous guests and then to us after our stay. Not enough blankets, towels are very old. Beds are of poor quality. Vertical blinds were broken upon arrival but owner wanted to charge us to replace. Only nice thing is the view. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Perfect view. Secluded. Comfortable. Very relaxing with the outside deck and spa. Reliable wireless. Great communication with host.

We stayed here as part of an 8 day road trip. The cabin was as pictured in the listing. Although not cosmetically updated, everything was clean and comfortable. I do not recommend driving to the cabin in the dark when you arrive. The roads are incredibly twisty. We ended up having to call Kris, who was welcoming and helpful. The house itself has amazing views of the lake, nice hiking trails nearby, and on an absolutely gorgeous property. We had a great stay.
