This place was perfect for a girls weekend! It was walking distance to the main street with the stores, restaurants, etc. We easily walked back and forth multiple times each day. The house is so adorable, my only warning would be the stairs are very steep! I hope I am able to come back and stay here again. The perfect place!!

This house is absolutely amazing. It is literally steps from Main Street. The location cannot be beat!! The decor is so charming!! And r story of how the house came to Texas is so interesting! Be sure to look on the market for what the house looked like in 1700!!!!
The house is so big! So much bigger than I thought it would be. It slept our party of 10 very comfortably. Plenty of room to have your own space… The bedrooms with two beds in them are massive. We never felt on top of each other.
Melissa was an amazing host. She answered texts in minutes and even answered the questions I asked that were clearly in the listing that I simply didn’t see! She was so accommodating! I do not have one negative thing to say about this property. If you’re looking for a house in the center of the action then this is it!!

This is a beautiful historic home just one block off the main street in Fredericksburg. It's a perfect location within walking distance to everything: food, nightlife and shopping. The character of the house is unbelievable and made me feel like I had gone back in time. This place is perfect for a big group. And Melissa is very responsive to any question! My friend and I are already talking about coming back with more friends next time!

The place was great, photos are very accurate and signs and notes communicate everything well. Location is perfect with walking distance to downtown. We were only there one night before dropping off at camp—would have been better for a longer stay.
Only complaint — the water didn’t get warm/hot in the 2nd floor shower. Everyone had to shower on the 3rd floor.
Other than that it was great. Would be perfect for a girl’s weekend.

The location is perfect! Although the house is charming, the kitchen could use updated cutlery and cooking supplies. The bedrooms are set up to accommodate large groups which worked well for us. However, the downstairs bedroom is lacking a full size bathroom so we needed to go upstairs to bathe. Overall, we enjoyed our stayed.

We spent the most of our time in the kitchen dining area around the big table, visiting and laughing. The entire house had exactly what we were looking for… Plenty of space to sleep comfortably, but a place together and enjoy each other’s company. And coffee! The outdoor area was perfect for our group to sit and visit as well. Will definitely come back again!

This was by far one of the best houses I have stayed in! The old charm of the house was just amazing. There was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable.
We were so close to all the shops and food that we were able to walk everywhere most of the weekend.
Melissa was so helpful and quick to respond to all my questions!
I HIGHLY recommend this house!

There were 12 of us staying here for a bachelorette party and we all loved this house. There was plenty of space and it was in the perfect location for us to walk everywhere we went.

This property is just a block off Main Street, easily walkable to all the shops and the World War II museum. The house is a wonderful historic home with a comfortable den and a kitchen table large enough for ten. We are a group of eight long-time friends, and the house was perfect for us. Those with mobility issues could stay on the bottom floor and only needed to climb to take a bath or shower.

This was such a fun and unique home to stay at. Don’t let the antique age if the house fool you! It was clean, smelled amazing and was such a great weekend home away from home. I would highly recommend this rental and we will definitely be planning a trip back.

We recently spent the weekend in Fredericksburg with a large group of friends for my husband’s birthday! We rented both Hummingbird House and Wildflower Cottage from Melissa, so we had the entire property to ourselves, and it was truly a DREAM!! Both houses have so much character and charm, and come stocked with everything you’d need for a cozy weekend away in the Texas Hill Country! Spending time outside in the courtyard between the two houses was our favorite!! It was such a fun and memorable weekend, everyone raved about the property and it’s QUICK access to Main Street, and Melissa was the most delightful, helpful, and personable host I’ve ever worked with!
**THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO STAY FOR YOUR FREDERICKSBURG WEEKEND AWAY!!**
