Wonderful hidden gem in chania. Fantastic room, great breakfast, lovely owners/staff. (This is a gem, just three rooms, like having a private house in chania).

Andreas and Alexandra were wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice. Free parking is a big advantage if you can find your way in. Great location in the old town.

I don’t think it can be improved in this heritage building, but there can be a lot of noise from the suite above in the ground floor suite. If available, I would recommend choosing one of the other two suites.

Best Breakfast in Crete

A very comfortable stay in a charming room with a built-in bathtub and very comfy bed. Breakfast was very very nice - a good choice à la carte - whilst special dietary needs were catered for. Owner and staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

The room was very luxury Turkish style. Alex was very kind person and prepared us the amazing breakfast.

The best place in Chania to stay. I actually wanted to keep this a secret, but that’s selfish. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t hesitate. Best location, best beds, best breakfast. And such nice owners. we will definitely be back.

If you have a rental car, I hope it’s a small one. Roads (break ups) and parking can be a challenge.

What a gem La Maison Ottomane is! On the practical front, it is perfectly situated in the most interesting part of town and has parking. Our spacious rooms (yes, 2!) were beautifully decorated in interesting colours and furnished with a wealth of antiques and textiles appropriate to the ottoman theme. But it is so much more than the sum of its parts. The warmth of the welcome from Alex and Andreas, their recommendations and general helpfulness, the VERY spoiling birthday breakfast laid on for my husband without being asked... all of these things will linger in our memories. I do hope we can repeat the experience before long.

Alex was extremely nice and helped with all of our needs , amazing hospitality. They Had everything you will need , from slippers to sewing kit . Top quality self products etc . And if you are a fan of craftsmanship and classic things the furniture are pure art .

Everything was great !

A beautifully restored Venetian house with three uniquely decorated bedrooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with beautiful linen and pillows, towels were big and fluffy and the room was provided with lovely little comforts - tea and coffee and sweet raki. Breakfast was delicious and, as we were unable to eat in the courtyard due to rain, it was elegantly served in our room. Our host was attentive and extremely welcoming. We would love to return and try one of the other rooms!

Very little! Our room was the only one without private outside space, but had the weather been good, we could easily have used the lovely courtyard. We couldn't access the private parking as a neighbour had blocked the access, but that was not the fault of the property owners.

A beautiful place and super friendly host. We even got upgraded to a room with a terrace. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Location right in the old town, but on a quiet street.

A little Hidden gem in the heart of chania. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Breakfast so delicous with so much little Details.

The breakfast here was excellent with good choices and a slightly different take on the norm. The place is in an excellent position for the town and was easy access to all places. Parking was a bonus.

Breakfast was delicious and items home made. Location very central in Chania and easy to walk around. The room was extremely beautiful, spacious and clean. Would very happily visit again and stay longer if available.

I loved staying at La Maison Ottomane. Adorable room with awsome terrace with the sunset in the evening, room very thematic, comfortable and clean like is the neighberhood. The breakfast was magnificent and the host very helpful and interesting person. Location perfect in the old Chania.

Everything perfect!

Outstanding hotel. Very unique, cozy, staff is super friendly and great location in the center of the city. Beds are super comfortable, never slept in the hotel that well. Definitely recommend to visit.

Liked everything

Usually I wouldn't get excited about something like breakfast but the touches with everything at Le Maison Ottomane are elegant and a step above. The sujak eggs are outstanding! Service is very solicitous and there is a huge attention to detail in everything this hotel does. They really pamper you! And the beds and location are wonderful. There was a small mixup and they not only were incredibly gracious, but they brought flowers and wine to our room. Stay here if you can!

I can't think of how it could have been any better. Everything impeccable! Room was so comfortable and beautifully decorated, location is perfect, very close to the centre and free parking available, which is a blessing. Andreas and Alex are so kind and attentive. Breakfast, superb. We couldn't recommend it enough!!! Loved it!!!

Do not look further than here for the perfect place to stay in Crete. The house is amazing. Exceptionally clean, full of intricate and carefully chosen details, decorated with the most exquisite taste. The name of the place, “la Maison ottomanne’ really lives up to it - you have the feeling that you are really staying in an oriental residence. the location is perfect (the best if you want to enjoy Chania) and the breakfast delicious. Last but not least, the owners. Both Andreas and Alex are simply fantastic and the most friendly and sweet persons we could meet. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our holiday in Greece and they were instrumental to it and very understanding. Thank you both for everything and for sure we will be back soon.
