For those wanting to stretch their legs, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just down the road. Enjoy hiking and overnight backpacking seeing some of the most gorgeous views the southeast has to offer. The 11-mile hiking and biking trail of Cades Cove is a highlight! At Ober Gatlinburg, everyone in the family can have fun! Whether you’re skiing or snowboard, tubing down the snow an innertube, lacing up skates for ice skating, or racing one another on the alpine slide, the fun will never stop! For the foodies in the group, feast on true southern cooking at a plethora of restaurants. A personal favorite is the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, where the apple fritters and julep are salivating. Shiners Hollow was all it was made to be. No false advertising here. Great home, great hosts, close to everything. We had an awesome family vacation.

It appeared the be the cleanest non hotel place I've stayed at. I would definitely stay again. The property in the photos appears to show a large, walkable clearing when it is actually a big dip/valley that would only be accessible to people much fitter than me. Regardless, there was a nice long driveway to walk the dogs.
There was a large assortment of pots and pans, blender, toaster, utensils etc. The coffee pot was very versatile, using pods as well as basket filters. I wish there had been a couple of dish rags and more than one dish towel. There was a ton of dishwasher packs but a tiny bottle of dish soap that we quickly ran out of, partially because the hand soap was nearly empty so we used dish soap to wash our hands also. The washer/dryer was great. I love not having to a bunch of dirty clothes home. All in all it was a very relaxing stay and we would come back.

This home was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the big yard and outdoor space. Not up high in the mountains and easy to get to town. Clean and inviting. The Christmas decor was a welcome surprise. We’d definitely stay here again!

This is a great place to go to get away from the busyness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You are just minutes away from some restaurants and the grocery store (we really liked the Three Jimmy's Bar and grill with live music and outdoor seating) but from the property you cannot see any other buildings and very few cars pass by the road. The beds were comfy, the game room setup was fun and the hot tub out underneath the trees was amazing.

This home was very clean upon arrival. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The hot tube was AMAZING with a full moon that evening it couldn't have been better!

Property was great. So many activities to do at the home. We did have a little issue with the hot tub when we arrived but the property owner Andy was quick to resolve the issue to make sure we had a wonderful stay. We didn't want to leave. Property is very secluded and private yet 3.2 miles to grocery store and 5.5 miles to the Aquarium. Couldn't ask for a better location. There are many restaurants within 5 miles from the home. It was just my fiance, myself, and our dog and I would love to go back and take our 2 young adult kids and have a family vacation. Would recommend this home.

The owners was easy to communicate with and the check in and check out was easy. Overall nice people to work with. They yard was great for our dog and the front porch sitting was really nice for our family to sit and talk.

The house was awesome! The big third bedroom / game room was perfect for our teenagers and their friends. The location is perfect, not too far from downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Our two golden retrievers loved it too with plenty of property to play on.

Travis and Andy were amazing! They communicate often, are easy to reach and follow-up We really enjoyed our stay at their VRBO. Having a washer and dryer was such a blessing. My 7year old twins loved the bunk beds. There was plenty of space for all of us (4 adults and 2kids).

We had a wonderful time! The house was great, just as described. So close to everything we wanted to do. The kitchen was small but was very well stocked! The beds were comfy and internet was great! The hot tub was clean and not too hot. Being able to take the free bus into Gatlinburg was so great, didn't have to fight traffic or pay for parking! Overall we had a great time and will be back again next year!! The owner was very attentive and answered our 2 questions very quickly.

This property was perfect for all of our needs. It was clean, had a spacious game room and stocked kitchen. The property sits back and is secluded and private which was great for our dogs. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Also, location to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was roughly ten and twenty minutes respectively which was awesome. Overall, would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend!

This was the perfect spot for our family and our 2 dogs. The size of the house and lot was a little smaller in person than the pictures showed, but it was still just right for us. The location was awesome! We were there for a basketball tournament and the sports complex was just 3 minutes from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved that property was close to Gatlinburg but on property that was private and peaceful. Hot tub worked perfectly after long days hiking. Gameroom entertaining for teens. Owner very responsive to questions and offered recommendations on local things to do. Thanks so much Andy!

The house was a perfect getaway for some much needed rest. It was clean and well stocked. The game/family room was a lot of fun. Perfect location to Gatlinburg with several close local restaurants and grocery/convenience stores. Front porch was a great place for morning coffee and evening conversation.

My family loved this house from the moment we walked in. It was welcoming and looked and smelled clean. The layout was perfect for us -- cozy but enough space for everyone to have their own downtime. The kids loved the bunk bed/game room. We enjoyed the hot tub, the proximity to town and the arts and crafts colony, and the peace of coffee on the deck with the birds (including a special cardinal who greeted us every morning). We greatly appreciated the comfortable beds, nice linens, and quality towels. I wholeheartedly recommend Shiner's Hollow.

This property was perfect for our needs and the property managers were easy to communicate with and responsive. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool table immensely. The cabin is on a quiet road and outside of the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. It is near an artists’ community with a lot of small shops full of locally made art. We would like to come back and would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice, simi-secluded house that is not for from downtown. We had snow at the house even though none was downtown. Our dogs loved the secluded area as well. All the comforts of home and do well stocked. We will definitely try to stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was decorated for Christmas, including a tree, and that was really cool. It's the perfect place to stay when driving to Gatlinburg. You can park on the outer edge and walk the town. It was so quiet and cozy. The game room and hot tub were a huge bonus that we all enjoyed. Would definitely stay again!

Recently stayed here with my girlfriend and our 4 year old dog. It was much bigger than expected and loved how secluded it was. Had everything we needed to cook and hang out. 10/10 would recommend especially if you are looking for something outside of town and off the main road without an insanely steep driveway.
Nothing to do with the house but beware bringing your dogs. The Smoky Mountains are not dog friendly. There are only 2 trails nearby to bring the pets and our dog was attacked by an aggressive pack of 4 dogs these people had out there. Bring your bear mace!

Private area, lots of room, enjoyed hot tub, owners provided for everything, questions were answered promptly, pool table provided lots of fun, Roku tv, clean cabin with clean linens. Washer and dryer were a nice size. Air Conditioning worked great in the hot humid weather.

Quiet Respite
The property was clean and exactly as depicted in the photographs. The yard is not fenced, but that was not an issue for our us or our dog. We enjoyed the hot tub a couple of times, but found it to be a bit chilly b/c we couldn't increase the heat from 98 degrees - also a couple of jets didn't seem to be working - nonetheless, it was nice for hubby and me after a long ride, and the access from the master bedroom was greatly appreciated. The master bed was a little firm for our liking, but that is a personal preference. The one thing I would suggest is that the front door lock code process be explained a bit better. We ended up locked out for a couple of hours, but it was a quick and easy fix and more than likely just my lack of knowledge. We would definitely rent this property again for future visits. It is close to town, but tucked in a quiet, forested area with only one other house close by. The large front porch was awesome, as were the rocking chairs.
