Coastal Cottage in the heart of downtown Cedar Key! This historic home has graced 1st Street for 90 years. A classic Cracker home, there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one queen, one full) and one full bath. HGTV's Coastal Collection Paint highlights the vaulted ceiling, wainscoting and original doors. Recently uncovered heart pine floors glow with Cedar Key pride. Quality furniture, TVs, and mattresses/linens. The breezy wraparound front porch with locally made porch swing and adirondack chairs makes an ideal spot for people watching, reading, sipping tea, or just relaxing. The Ida Belle Cottage was once home to Mrs. Ida Belle Davis, who raised her family here. Though Mrs. Ida Belle is no longer with us, her family continues to live and work in Cedar Key. When you enter the house, don't forget to look on the wall just to your left, a little tribute to the cottage's namesake is there for your enjoyment. A true Southern woman, she would want you to stay and be comfortable. Most of all, she would want you to see Cedar Key the way she did--from the little cottage on 1st Street. This is a pet friendly unit for up to 2 dogs! Pet fee is as follows: Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 2 pet maximum. If you did not pay a pet fee on booking, please contact us immediately. Evidence of pets in unit without paying the pet fee as required will result in a penalty of $300 charge to your card on file. Please check with us on any other pets. We do require that pets do not get on bed or furniture. Please do not leave barking dogs in the unit. Please pick up after your pet when outdoors. Rate Notes: A 3% Credit Card Fee will be Applied

We loved this cottage and all of its history. It is the most relaxing place I have ever stayed. Cedar Key is beautiful and the people are very friendly. This home has everything you will need and more, clean, easy to walk to all areas on the island. We rented a golf cart and had so much fun finding little places of interest. We will be back!

We have been coming to cedar key for almost 20 years. We visited about 6 weeks after the hurricane went through. It was said to see the horrific damage done to some of the properties but many were being worked on.
Only a couple restaurants were open and we frequented them.
I’m sure when we return in a couple of months, we will see even more progress

Loved the Ida Belle cottage and met Estra who knew Ida Belle personally. It was simply a great stay and we will be back. We did the cemetery trail, the cemetery itself, the board walk area and the little restaurants there with great food, the second street cafe was super pet friendly and our favorite morning spot. We liked it so much we are talking buying a little piece of property there

We stayed two nights to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage was just perfect. Very clean, nice decor, wonderful porch swing. We didn't cook while we were there, but it appeared to have everything that would be needed to fix any meal. Very convenient to everything we would need. We did rent a golf cart for 24hrs and it was so easy to see every street on Cedar Key. The best view of the sunset was just down the street. We would recommend this to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Ida Belle is a delightful 2 bedroom cottage. Good size rooms including the dine-in kitchen, updated with nice appliances. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and marina. Quiet, clean.

Love this cottage! Cedar Key is a wonderful beach getaway without being over commercialized. Excellent restaurants and variety of food choices. The Ida Belle cottage is an excellent location to walk to all the shops, restaurants, beach and pier. Highly recommend this vacation location and the Ida Belle cottage.

The Ida Belle Cottage was perfect for our first time to Cedar Key! It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and a short walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We highly recommend cocktails and dining at 83 West/29 North and the tiki bar at Low Key Hideaway for sunsets! Host was quick to respond to all of our questions and we would not hesitate to stay at the Ida Belle Cottage again.

This is my 4th or 5th time at the Ida Belle. Cedar Key is so dreamy and relaxing, this is the perfect cottage to call your own for a leisurely stay. I enjoyed reading on the porch and preparing coffee and breakfast in the morning. Can't wait to return.

The Ida Belle Cottage on Cedar Key added to our fun get-a-way weekend. The two bedroom cottage and it’s amenities was great. I loved the porch swing, and porch that went around the house on three sides. It made a great place to store our kayak’s and bicycles . We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beach and restaurants, and to the end of a nearby street to watch the sunset over the Gulf.

My husband has a very high stress job, when ever we need to relax and recharge Cedar Key is always our go to place. The cottage was perfect for us perfect amount of space loved all the reclining furniture kitchen was more than ample for our cooking needs Would stay here again!

The Cottage was very good for us, clean & had all the amenities
The location was perfect, walked the beach everyday. The only thing we didn't like was the rules for checking out, loading & starting the washers, cleaning out the fridge, check out by 10 am.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Ida Belle! The house was equipped with everything you needed. Very comfortable furniture and beds. We loved the wrap around porch and porch swing! The location is perfect! The sunsets at the end of the street can’t be missed. Everyone super friendly as we strolled around and enjoyed the local bars and restaurants.

The hosts paid great attention to detail from the check in process through check out. The home was perfect in every way. The location was walking distance to everything. Couldn’t ask for more.
