We are a family of 7 on our first trip to San Diego. We LOVED the Bay Ho neighborhood for easy proximity to La Jolla, downtown San Diego, and Coronado. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. The house was perfect for us and the deck outside was spacious with an amazing view! Our kids loved that they could see the Sea World sky tower lit up like a christmas tree each night!

This was the perfect getaway to spend time with our kids and friends. There is plenty of room for entertaining, the view is wonderful and the location is central to great restaurants. The owner is easily accessible to questions and responds quickly with any concerns. We would love to stay here again sometime.

I stayed here with my parents to celebrate the holiday. Ron’s house is so beautiful! And the location is amazing - central to everything, a view of sunsets over mission bay, fireworks from sea world, places to walk and enjoy all the local attractions. I met several of the neighbors, and they were incredibly kind! Ron was so communicative, giving tips for all the sights, and accommodating any of our needs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

When we decided we wanted to have a Thanksgiving get away to San Diego with some friends one of our goals was to find a house that embraced everything San Diego. Ron’s has perfectly met that goal! With modern amenties, fantastic kitchen, and incredible views of Mission Bay. We visited everything thing San Diego had to offer and never drove more than 25 mins from the house. Ron kindly offered his condiments, papers goodies, and even some beer/wine this only saved a ton of money on the little things that you normally have to buy. The communication and flexibility was second to know making the trip stress free for everyone.

We have been coming to San Diego for over two decades to vacation and this home is our favorite. While the pictures on the listing are fantastic, in person the home is even more amazing! First of all, the view is incredible. Spent mornings sipping coffee on the deck and afternoons playing cards while admiring the view. The accordion door that opens up the whole living area is spectacular! House is very well stocked. I wasn’t going to cook that much but couldn’t resist the kitchen. Top end appliances and everything you need to make a delicious meal. All of the beds were so so comfortable. Great water pressure and lovely bathrooms. Plenty of street parking. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood super close to beaches and La Jolla. Ron, the owner, is wonderful and check in/out was super easy. We will be back for sure!!

To start, our host, Ron, asked if we wanted an early check-in which we were thrilled to receive since we were arriving early. His home is well stocked, very comfy, has great views and an amazing large combined dining room-living room and kitchen. We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next time we can rent this gorgeous home!

The house suited our needs well, and location was great for all the fun places to see in and around San Diego! Close to beaches, Sea World, Lego Land, the Zoo, and traffic was not terrible! A school park was in walking distance too. Kitchen was fantastic, everything you could want! There were some items left in the fridge that previous guests must have left that were going bad, so we tossed those in the trash right when we got there. The master bedroom was lovely, but the 2 extra bedrooms had little air flow, and was hard to keep those rooms cool in August. Also, second full bath, the toilet did not work well the whole trip, so we just had the kids use the half bath near the front door. All things considered, our family of 5 had a great time! We are grateful to finally get our kids to an ocean after no travel for years. Thanks Ron for sharing your place!

Can't say enough good things about our stay here.. The house was perfect for us with plenty of room and great location.. If you're apprehensive in any way about not having a garage to park your car in, don't be.. it's a great neighborhood that's really quiet I felt like we didn't even need to lock our doors or roll up the windows.. Spending time on the deck enjoying the weather/view was the most relaxing part of my time.. Also, the owner is super friendly and made everything easy for us to get in and out I highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time. We went to the beach and boardwalk, the dog-friendly beach, Old Town, and the San Diego Zoo. We are from Phoenix, so the cool mornings and evenings were appreciated. We also watched fireworks from the deck on the 3rd and 4th of July.

This place is amazing! The views are spectacular! It was very quiet and in a great location. We were 15 minutes away from the zoo, little italy, airport, Torrey pines, La Jolla, Coronado. Very nicely decorated and well equipped. The kitchen was a delight and had everything you needed. We had a small bbq with friends and lit the outdoor fire pit and enjoyed the fireworks that we could see across the bay from sea world. We will definitely be back when visiting my son and will pass it on to other friends! Thank you Ron.

We gathered for a birthday. Ron was very helpful since we were planning a party from 2000 miles away giving us advice on catering and groceries etc. the house was perfect and absolutely beautiful! He was very responsive when we had questions. It’s already been suggested that we rent it again and folks at the party asked for the link to the property.

A friend and I had a girls' week here. Even with some of the worst weather San Diego has seen in forever, we had a great time. Ended up spending most of our time at the property. Very well supplied while a local grocery delivery filled in our snacks. Beautiful, interesting artwork and very comfortable accommodations. Only wanted for a reading lamp or two for these old eyes at night. Arrived late at night. Entry was smooth but a light highlighting the address would have saved annoyances to neighbors, I'm sure. There was some interior construction next door but that should be finished soon. Neighbors we met on the street were very nice. Patio and views are spectacular

This was the perfect place for my nephew, and his daughter and I. We each had our own bedroom. This home is equipped with everything you could possibly want, and it is beautifully decorated with incredible views of Mission Bay. It is centrally located just north of San Diego near La Jolla close to most areas you want to visit during your stay in San Diego. I would definitely return.

The Hartman House was a great experience for us. We found the location to be centrally located among the various things we did around San Diego. Communication with Ron was prompt and attentive. Since the unit is their part-time house, it was stocked with the utensils and foods you would typically have at home. The only oddity we found was that the house does not have a microwave, which would have been helpful for breakfasts and heating up leftovers. Aside from this, the house met our needs well and we would recommend for your future stay.

We couldn't have been happier with this rental. Communication was great, we never had any problems but I exchanged messages with the owner several times during the week with timely responses. The house is beautiful, lots of space and in very good condition. You can tell they take care of their property. The kitchen was fully stocked with any utensils we needed, we cooked several meals including barbecuing and everything worked great. A huge dining room table left plenty of room for all of us. The 3 beds, 3 baths gave us all enough space. And all of these rooms are modern and built with quality materials. The view from the deck is breathtaking. The street was very quiet, it's flat, so our kids could have easily rode their bikes on the block. Plenty of street parking. I would warn that the house has such nice things in it that we occasionally worried about our kids breaking something but fortunately they didn't. All the furnishings are very nice, the beds are super comfortable. A huge bonus is just how easy and quick it is to get to all the attractions in san Diego, you are minutes away from I-5, Costco, and grocery and dining. Check-in was a breeze. We are very happy with this home, and will definitely keep it at the top of the list if we return to San Diego.

We had a wonderful time at Ron's house! Everything was just as it looked in the photos - the house was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The family loved hanging out in the spacious kitchen/living room/deck area in-between sight seeing. We would return in a heartbeat!

We rented this house for nearly a week for a family vacation in San Diego, and it was exactly as advertised. Not only was it clean and tidy, but the layout and design of the house are absolutely stunning! It is very hard to beat the view from the back patio! Ron was so very responsive to our needs. Had a great time at your home. The kitchen was great to cook in. Wasn’t sure how to work everything but figured it out. The view was awesome. Very comfortable, my brother n law loved the white lazy boy. The rain put a damper on some things, but can’t control that.

Completely positive experience with this property and owner. Our family spent six days over the Thanksgiving holiday here and loved every minute. The kitchen was perfect for our large meal prep and was well stocked. Comfortable seating at the dining table, living area and the outdoor patio. Bedrooms and bathrooms were cozy and clean. Absolute best feature was the backyard view with the sliding door that opened along the back of the house and large window from the sink that opens up completely. The weather was perfect for utilizing the open doors and window much of the week. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and a great place to walk. We were close to local stores, restaurants, airport, and attractions. Looking forward to our next trip to SD.
