Situated in Pike County, this charming standard cabin for R 4,637 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Located on the Little Missouri River at the historic Old Factory Site. This 2 story cabin provides all you need (and everything you don’t) to get away and LIVE LAZY! One of very few homesites located near a trout release point. You can get your gear and walk right to the river to start fishing! The cabin's interior is a combination of rugged log cabin with a modern flare. The finish out is clean and simple yet continues to remind you that you are tucked away next to the Little Missouri River. This fully furnished cabin allows you to walk in and immediately GET LAZY! The downstairs has an open living/entertaining space with a full kitchen, dining area, and living area that stays the center of all the action. As you make your way to the back of the cabin you will find a full bath and full laundry room. At the very back of the cabin are two queen bedrooms separated from the living space so you get the rest you deserve! Upstairs is an additional queen bedroom, full bathroom, a hang out area with 1 queen fold out couch, and access to the balcony perfect for your morning coffee. As you make your way back down stairs and outside, you will find wrap around porches that lead you to the back of cabin entertaining space. This space includes a fire pit, park style charcoal grill, picnic table, and outside games. Wildlife is plentiful, it is not out of the ordinary to see deer in the yard, eagles flying over head, and trout swimming in the river! The Little Missouri River is controlled by the Hydroelectric Dam which is used to generate power. The river will rise as much as 3 feet when generating. The generation schedule is subject to change without notice to meet power demand. In addition, the schedules from SWEPCO only reflect releases through the hydropower facilities and do not include normal U.S. Army Corps of Engineers releases.

We stayed two nights and loved it! Beautifully built, furnished, and decorated cabin up the hill from the river. Not far from the diamond mines where we spent one day and then back to the cabin to grill burgers and make s’mores around the fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place!

A short walk to the river, short drive to Crater of Diamonds, and relatively close to Lake Greeson. The cabin itself was clean and had just about everything we needed. The only item not in the cabin that we needed was a blender (marinade was hard to make without). There aren’t many restaurants close, so cooking in the cabin is a must. We couldn’t have asked for a better property. Do not hesitate to rent this cabin. Great place to spend time with family. Thank you, Cody!

We loved this property and the host! From the second you walk in, you can smell the freshness. Everything is immaculate! I dont know the age of the cabin, but it is basically Brand NEW!! The upstairs has a queen bed with its own small living room and balcony. Two downstairs bedrooms with queen beds. Love the layout and thought that went into this cabin. The host went above and beyond to help me! We will definitely stay again.

Everything it says in the listing and then some! Very clean. We do a fair number of VRBOs and this one truly lived up to what it said and our family was more impressed then what we thought the cabin would be like (and we were excited to go!). The owners did a very nice job.

house was lovely & very clean! the blue throughout was a nice bright spot. the stove required cell phone for instructions. that was the only downside. beds were all comfortable & seemed new. would stay again even though it wasn’t right on the water.

The cabin was clean ,quite, and right next to the river. Communication was great and check in was easy. It was close to the national park and other places we wanted to go see. Kiddos loved it and made lots of memories! Would definitely recommend.

The cabin was beautiful and very peaceful. It clean and pictures are very accurate. Property management was very responsive and willing to answer or bring anything we needed. The river was gorgeous and we enjoyed walking in the river. We tried to fish but soon realized you need more experience fishing trout. 😂 It was a wonderful time and we had lots of fun. Diamond hunting was dirty and a great time too! Best short vacation!!!

The cabin just as advertised and perfect for meeting up with our friends. I enjoyed the fishing while the girls enjoed hunting for gems. Checking in and out was very easy.and the owner was very quick to answer questions.

Mostly surrounded by trees, close walk to the river, peaceful. The interior is spectacular. The owners clearly put some love into designing it. Great communication from the owners.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Trout Cabin! The bedrooms in the cabin are nicely sized and have lots of storage space for clothing, as well as night stands on both sides of the beds. We didn't have a need for the sleeper/sofa, but it's great to have extra bedding options for larger groups. The neighborhood was peaceful and clean. We loved the covered deck, as we had rain one evening and it allowed us to still be able to gather outside for dinner. We also loved the firepit on the nights without rain! Our only suggestions for improvements would be sheet straps for the mattresses to keep the sheets intact throughout the night and a lower kitchen table rather than a high rise table, with softer chairs for ease and comfort for older guests. We would highly recommend this cabin to others staying in the area!

The cabin was just perfect! It was easy to find and wonderful from the minute we pulled in the driveway. The town is extremely small and there wasn’t a lot of stores opened so plan accordingly, but it was still a great place to stay while Diamond Digging!

The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. The property is quiet and it was so nice to be a short walking distance from the river. And the owners are great. Super fast to respond to messages. The week we stayed, the weather dropped into single digits and the hot water heater froze up. There was nothing the owners could do, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Brought us a gift and even offered to pay for us to stay in a hotel. Despite the lack of hot water, we had a great stay and can’t wait to come back.
