The property is surrounded by lush tropical plants and foliage. It was all in full bloom. The house was very clean and AC units in bedrooms were adequate. The ocean view is spectacular. The sea grass was present but we found an easier access to beach about 100 feet toward in the direction toward casino.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I WISH someone would’ve spared our family from a negative experience, so I want to tell you the truth. The house is lovely and as described, however the smell from the rotting seaweed that had been there for months was truly disgusting. We noticed that many locations right down the beach were cleaned up, but the beach in front of this house had not been cleaned up in what seems a long time.
After talking to several locals, we found out this is a regular issue for this particular area. I would NOT recommend staying in this location. The smell was so bad we couldn’t stand to open the doors and let the open air house have the ocean breeze. The air conditioning worked well, but even with the doors closed, the smell was so bad we stayed out of the house except to sleep. We could not enjoy the house or pool at all due to the horrible smell.
Also of note, the wifi and internet never worked the whole time we were there, although since we were only there as little time as possible, it wasn’t a huge issue.
The property manager helped us relocate to another house, and we loved the second location.
We appreciated David and his help finding just the right new place.
I know the owner cannot control the seaweed, and it’s unfortunate that it collects in this area. However, I wish I would’ve known about the smell so I could’ve made the decision to rent or not with that understanding. Now you know. Lovely house. Terrible smell.

Love the island vibes at this beachfront home. Quiet eastern-side location, convenient to good beaches and great restaurants. We enjoyed having a Jeep to travel around the island.
Cleaning staff was still working when we arrived at 4pm, but they were very kind and worked quickly...we enjoyed the pool area (and drinks from our cooler) until they finished. Home was well cleaned. Did not have any issues during stay, but the few questions we had before our stay were answered quickly. Power went out one day due to storm, but that's island life.
Front porch was our favorite place to be! Large doors are beautiful, especially when opened to let breeze blow through. We were comfortable in central rooms and A/C in bedroom worked well. Beds were SUPER comfortable. Bathrooms are good and it was nice having two en suites. Kitchen is equipped well enough for what we needed - pantry with lots of dishes, pots and pans. Large gas grill was awesome.
Pool felt great and is larger than expected. From steps/seating area of pool, you can look through living room to the ocean. Pool patio is secluded with great tropical landscaping. Iguanas, birds, hermit crabs...loved seeing them and they are more afraid of you than you should be of them.
Steps to beach are a little steep - then large private area to peruse and stroll. Recommend you rent or bring your own chairs if you plan to make a day of it. Seaweed comes and goes all over the island, so I was prepared to see some. We spent more time at house/pool or traveling than at beach itself, but having a front row seat from the porch was the most enjoyable part of our trip!
Highly recommend this house and host!

This location was absolutely perfect for two couples. Covered porch overlooking the ocean; big private pool - there is so much to like about this house and location. The property manager was quick to respond to questions and was always available. The iguanas were entertaining and not a nuisance . The kitchen is tired but functional. The sargassum was piling up by the end of the week which made the beach unuseable. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved Southern Breezes from the moment we entered. The check in process was easy since we knew the island and also were 4 hours delayed due to flight issues. Being able to just go right to the house and enter via the lockbox was great! The property is gorgeous. Sits right above a beautiful beach which we swam at several days--the house has a private staircase entrance directly to the beach. It's the same beach that Divi Carina Bay Hotel and Casino sits on. Great opportunity for lovely beach strolls. The only downside here was the natural sargassum seaweed that hit the shore pretty heavily toward the end of our stay. It appears to be worse in the summer, but we did have a few days where it was too thick to enter the water. You can hear the sound of the waves lapping the shore from the house and outdoor balcony. This was especially nice when falling asleep at night. The open air design of the main room is wondrous. The bedrooms have AC which was really nice for extra warm nights. The house and pool area are nicely appointed. The pool very refreshing and inviting--except the couple of times that the local Iguana approached and scared us back into the house!
A couple of suggestions to make things even better: a new dining table and chairs for the porch. Since this is the only dining table, it would be nice to have something newer and more comfortable to sit at. We also could not find any dishtowels for the kitchen. Other than, that...an amazing place and great location. Easy drive to several beaches, east end dining and Christiansted.

We enjoyed our time at the villa very much. The location is beautiful and very clean. We didn't think we would care much about having a pool, but the pool was amazing and we used it every day! The kitchen is well appointed with great gas stove and all the tools we needed to make some of our own meals. The ability to open the wide patio doors so you feel you are outside made it so peaceful. I spent a lot of time out there watching the pelicans. Previous comments about the sargassum almost made me not book this location, but even though it was there we did not notice any smell and I'm glad I booked anyhow. Communication with host was swift and efficient when needed. If we had one small criticism it would be that to sleep or to leave the house, you must close everything up and it limits air flow. Having a way to screen those wide doorways would make it an incredible stay. Overall, very happy with our stay and would recommend this host.

We had an issue that came up due to the weather when we were there. David was very accessible and worked with us to alleviate a situation.

Private, Landscaping and view are very nice. House had many useful items like kitchen utensils, cleaning stuff.
Pool is nice if you don't mind sharing with iguanas. and stepping around poop. Tropical island what are you going to do.
They did come Monday and cleaned the poop around the pool which was good but I had already booked another place. The one day there were 3 of them 3-4 ft long hanging out
My Wife left after the first day. She did not like the iguanas.
The place smelled, there was no beach you could use, covered with Sargassum. Up the road the resort my wife was staying at did not have this issue. I left after 4 days, 7 night booking. Patio doors don't close properly, Windows don't shut real good which meant the AC was inefficient, Top of refrigerator had not been cleaned in ages. Not an issue if you are not tall and can't see it. There were other things but I am not going to list them all. Overall it was ok 2.5 stars. Will go back to St Croix but will not stay here.

Beautiful house, even better island
The house was great and the hosts were very communicative and helpful. The private pool and views from the porch were top notch. The nearby parks and beaches were breathtaking, and the proximity to Christiansted made for easy access to the many guided adventures available. The only thing that would have made our stay better is a generator for the couple of times the power went out on the island. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderfully relaxing
The property was very well represented in the pictures and description. We absolutely enjoyed the spacious home. The open air from pool to ocean was fantastic and made it feel like we had a beautiful estate all to ourselves. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was more than adequate, almost cold if turned up. We loved relaxing on the beach, by the pool and on the open deck watching the turtles in the ocean. The location was nice and quiet and adequate to explore the island completely! The hosts were very informative and welcoming!

Perfect secluded getaway
Loved the terrace overlooking the private beach and the sound of crashing waves, framed by beautiful wooden doors. Some seaweed washed up on beach during second half of trip, but first half it was pretty clear. You’ll likely see iguanas, hermit crabs, all sorts of birds, and even shooting stars. Not too many bugs / mosquitoes. Solid wifi. A great escape from the crowds. Private pool provided a refreshing break from the heat. AC only in bedrooms but was more than enough. Very clean and host is very responsive to questions / issues.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The manager is very responsive and was eager to help. We spent a week in this private paradise with our own pool and close to many beaches. The villa is on the water but due to this years sargassum season being so bad we were unable to use it. The villa did not disappoint in its charm. Point Udall, Isaac's and John's Baysare a short drive. The airport is about 25-30 minutes, so is most of your shopping options. We enjoyed Buck Island and the beer drinking pigs. Make sure you eat at all the following: Blue Water Terrace, 40 eats and drinks, The Mill, Toast, and the Mutiny Distillery. Over all 10/10 , easily the best of the USVI.

Thanksgiving stay
The property is beautiful. The location was perfect for our family. We enjoyed going out to Point Udall for some sightseeing, access to Christianstead is an easy 25 min drive. The pool was well kept and maintained and they had a guy come through during our stay. The only downside for us was the AC in the guest bedroom was broken the entire stay. They sent maintenance our promptly the second day but they couldn’t fix it and never contacted us after. Hope they get that sorted for the next folks.

Great honeymoon spot
Amazing views from the property and easy to find

This villa is exactly what is advertised....beautiful views, fully stocked kitchen, and gorgeous pool! This is a place to relax and be in a space of peace. The only suggestion for future guest is to be aware of the communities love for drones. The landscape is breathtaking at the villa and surrounding area, so others are exploring the sites in the air. We loved Point Udall at sunrise and the Jack and Isaac Bay Preserve trail. These are less than 5 mins away and are a must to see again. Overall, we were happy to spend our honeymoon here and we hope to be back soon.

Stunning Views
I really appreciated the presentation of the house upon arrival. All of the doors were open, so when we walked up the driveway, we were greeted with the stunning view of the ocean through the house. Truly, the view is phenomenal. We also really appreciated the onsite laundry with detergent provided. I'm not sure it's listed, but house does also have plenty of towels for the beach, and in the laundry room there are two beach chairs!
I think my favorite part of the house was eating our breakfast outside everyday and looking at the beautiful views.
The pool was lovely as well. Somehow, despite the very warm weather during the day, the pool remained cool and refreshing. It was really nice to have on sight for an easy cool down and some easy access downtime. There are two lounge chairs as well, but we would recommend putting towels over them before sitting.
I wasn't aware pre-booking, that it is very common to only have air conditioning in the bedrooms in St Croix, if you have air conditioning at all. Most of the time, if you keep the living/kitchen area open, there is a nice breeze, but it is definitely on the warmer side - not a complaint, just an FYI.
Additionally, at no fault of the home owner, there was significant sargassum in the ocean by the house, and it completely covered the beach. In the photos on the listing, the beach looks very useable, but this was not the case while we were there. I have heard sargassum is seasonal, so if you don't go during outbreaks, you might not have this problem!
The host was very responsive, and overall this was a comfortable stay. The location was fine for us. You are about 10 minutes from the east side of the island, 25-30 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Christiansted where the majority of dining/main town is, and 50 minutes from Fredericksted/west end beaches.

If you want total relaxation and NOTHING to do...........
This house was an "island open air concept" house which means louvered windows and no AC in the main part of house. AC in bedrooms ( AC wasn't running well in bedroom to right) We rented end of Aug. & it was very hot humid everyday. The view was absolutely lovely & you got a slight breeze on deck (but not in the house really)The pool was superb. There was no beach by house per se and the land that was there was filled with sargassum (seaweed) the ocean was nothing like the picture it was more a brownish green & really rocky on shore. Furniture was old and weather worn. House was stocked with pots, pans, toilet paper etc. The appliances were relatively new but they overlooked ordering gas for stove, we cooked on grill outside. There's no radio (music), nor TV at all but tons of books. The manager was absolutely wonderful to work with. I would recommend this house just ask questions before you rent and make sure you like the open air concept.
