Great location and beautifully decorated. Reported dishwasher leak via text as instructed, twice with no response. However, sent email and maintenance quickly came. Unfortunately, it could not be repaired during our stay. He oiled the sliding door so it was easier to open. A chest of drawers would have been nice in the 2nd first level bedroom but it is too cramped with the king bed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We did NOT stay at East End. We stayed at Above the Dune. We thought we were renting what was present in the above East End pictures, as those living room pictures were posted for Above the Dune. The living room pictures online did not match the actual Above the Dune rental, as the couches were medium gray and not as inviting as the sandy ones in the above pictures.
Despite this, we loved our stay and very much enjoyed the property and the island! We would stay at Above the Dune again!

Perfect place for a weeklong get away from the hustle and bustle of the world.

Loved this place. Very clean house, beautiful sea view from window and balcony and the beach was wonderful with clear water and calm sea . Our family of 5 had a great relaxing and peaceful vacation last week of August. The only downside was construction noise in the mornings on both sides of our house for 3-4 days during our stay. On the right side lots of noise remodeling a wooden deck and on the left a crew of workers replacing a beach-house roof.

We loved everything about our stay. The property was beautiful. The views were incredible. The property actually shows even better in person! And we loved that “Dog Friendly” meant exactly that. The entire island. We love taking our dogs with us on vacation, and this was perfect for us and them. Thank you

This is the second time that we’ve stayed at Above the Dunes, and it was—again—terrific. Notwithstanding Tropical Storm Fred deciding to crash the party, we had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, well-maintained, and right on the beach. A+.

When we arrived, the walls, staircase, doors, couches, kitchen cabinets, and tabletops had smears, stains, scratches, and grime covering them as if dogs, children, and dirty-handed adults had well used this place. Thank God I brought cleaner and scrub brushes to clean it before my pregnant friend arrived one hour later for a vacation! There is no way this place was sanitized prior to our arrival to COVID 19 standards. The white hand rails were literally blackened along the edges from hand grime. Ugh! Day 2 the toilets all clogged and not a plunger in the house. Despite 2 calls for service, a plunger did not arrive until later on Day 3. Thank God our neighbors were kind enough to let us borrow their plunger on Day 2 so that we could fix the problem ourselves. Day 4 we had to move our vehicle in the early morning so that a construction crane could access the house next door. Construction was happening on both sides of us early in the morning and well into the evening. I do not recall that being mentioned in the listing. Day 5 a wind storm definitely made the house sway like we were in a house boat and my architect husband said there was no way that was safe. That may explain the large structural crack along the loft. Almost every night there was a large group of rowdy, music booming crowds of teenagers spilling down the road from the playground area, cursing at each other and making out with each other like it was a mini-MTV spring break on St. George. The air was thick with marijuana. We could see them passing handles of alcohol around as we passed them on our way home from dinner. They didn't want to move out of our way. Our daughter and her friend went to the playground one morning and a young guy was there with a handle of Titos passing it off to a young girl. They were freaked out and ran back to the house. Finally, on our last day cops patrolled the area and kept the peace.
I have been coming to St. George for almost 30 years. It has always been a family-friendly, clean, and peaceful destination. This week was anything but. That is why I title this review as " Nothing But The View." The view of this beautiful beach saved our vacation.

The communication of how to enter the property omitted the last digit of the code. We had workers on both sides of us. One house taring off a tin roof the other side inside and outside repairs. The last day we were there they parked the crane machine of the roof in our drive. It would have been nice to know before we traveled 11 hrs by car that we had construction on both sides of us. The master bathroom tub has mold on the tub water circulation cover as well as around the tub. The bathroom door and the front door were hard to close and open. 2nd bedroom mattress wouldn’t stay on the frame and basically worn out. The bathroom door locked me in when I decided not to use the master tub due to mold. I have never seen door knobs with such locks. Every room is a different color that didn’t match the room it came off of. Not visually appealing! Ice maker was froze up. We emptied and it froze again. The house WAS within walking distance to the center town AND a short walk to a clean beach. I called the rental office 3 times between The morning of the day to arrive and the following day and left messages that were not returned. We will not rent this house again.
