Situated in Surf City, this attractive house for R 3,696 per night is a great option for your next break. Our quaint, freshly renovated beach cottage is located 4 doors down from the beach access and less than half a mile from the Pier. Located near the Pier is where you will find the local eats, boutiques, Cafes, and other locally own stores. The Hideout gets its name from its unique location. It is located behind our other beach home “IslandTime” The hideout is on the ground floor, completely detached from IslandTime. It features a private grass fenced in yard with a patio/deck. We are excited to share these experiences and hope you enjoy your time on the Island. This is a pet friendly home. If you're bringing a pet please let us know. There is a $100 pet fee. The cleaning and linen fees are pass through charges.

The cottage is very nice and was the perfect size for me, my husband and our dog. It was just as nice as the pictures online. Very clean and modern. We had a short walk to the beach and enjoyed walking to the park and on the bridge to the island. Neighbors and local people were all very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

The weather was a literal wash the majority of the time, but I was so happy to have this adorable spot for front porch sitting to enjoy the beach environment even though we weren’t on the beach. The day of arrival, I was so in love with this house I booked a weeklong vacation in the future. The spot is about 1-2 mins from the beach, and super convenient to my favorite restaurants— specifically Shaka Taco! If it wasn’t for the rain (and a 4 year old with a broken leg) we probably wouldn’t have drove anywhere. Sarah was super responsive. I could tell she and her family take pride in the home and call it their own. The house was stocked beyond all expectations, even including a dog bed and crate. My pups loved the fenced in yard and all around just amazing for each of us. Also— I accidentally left our little whale nightlight, so I feel like we left our own little touch. :) I can’t wait to go back and I’m trying to recruit friends to rent the upper home the same week ;).

We stayed at the Hideaway for a short spring break getaway from upstate New York. The location was perfect...close to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Quiet neighborhood. This little house was perfect for our small family of 3.

Sarah should be president of a national hospitality organization. The Hideaway is a well decorated thoughtfully supplied vacation home. Beach bikes,wagon,chairs, towels ,toys etc. If the dogs were more aware they would have felt spoiled as well. It truly is a 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Great communication and quick response to our needs. Thanks so much for an amazing week.

We truly loved our stay at this house!!! It was a perfect size for my husband and I and our two kids. We also brought along our two pups! Great location. So close to the beach and restaurants. We really appreciated all of the amenities like the outdoor heated shower, washer/dryer, and beach items to borrow!! We would definitely come again!

Exactly as advertised!! Short walk to the beach! The host went above and beyond when we requested to come a day earlier. The adorable house was also stocked with everything we needed for a great time at Surf City! We hope we can return soon.

We cannot fully explain how well done this home was. Location was steps from the public beach access, great parking, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, fur-friendly things and items for pets if you bring, beach toys and chairs and bikes to borrow…we could go on. It was a vacation that felt like home, not someone else’s and that made it that more relaxing. This place is a must!
