Nestled in Picton, this lovely cottage for R 2,361 per night is a great choice for your next break. This beautiful two bedroom cottage accommodation is situated on part of our ten acre rural property with views of the dam and overlooking the paddocks where our sheep and cows roam freely. The cottage is well appointed with a large kitchen including dishwasher and microwave and the living area has a slow combustion wood fire to keep you warm and cozy in the winter while enjoying a glass of red or cup of hot chocolate. The cottage also has ducted air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer. The large outdoor area includes a gas barbeque and outdoor dining as well as a long bench with bar stools where you can just sit, watch the cows grazing and enjoy the scenery. We are located just 2.5 kms from Thirlmere township and the NSW Train Museum which offers steam train rides every weekend and regular visits from Thomas the Tank Engine and is also home to the Steam Train Festival which is held annually in March. Thirlmere Lakes National Park and the spectacular Mermaid Pools and Potholes are within a ten minute drive with many bushwalking trails and swimming holes. Cedar Creek orchard is a five minute drive away where you can pick your own seasonal fruit and they also offer apple juice, cider and honey for sale, check their website for bookings and dates. Whether you want to just get away from it all, relax and unwind or bring the family and checkout the local attractions. Beautiful house

We loved every minute of the long weekend we spent at the farm. The house is very comfortable, cosy and well taken care of and it definitely was designed with guests comfort in mind.
The patio is lovely and we enjoyed our meals outside. Our daughter really loved all the toys and books she found at the house (such a nice touch!), as well as observing the animals.
The farm is pretty close to Sydney and many interesting places to explore with kids.
Overall, we were very happy with our time at the farm and would definitely recommend it to our friends.

We had a fantastic stay! We loved the house - really clean and modern. Kitchen was very well appointed with many things needed for home cooking and for the BBQ. The fireplace kept us cozy and we all enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. It was great to see all the cows and sheep grazing on the property and the kids loved feeding them hay over the fence just a few meters from our back door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location and cottage was great. Very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. It’s quiet and peaceful. We especially liked the fresh bread and eggs when we arrived. Lots of games for families and a cosy fireplace that was all ready for us to just light. The host was extremely friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

The place was clean and perfect location to stay for our race in Picton. The place had everything that we want and need. I was just sad that we weren't able to stay longer to enjoy the place more. They have lambs and cows too which are very friendly.Alaine even left some bread, eggs and butter in the fridge as a welcome present for us which I think is a very nice touch. The only and minor thing missing in the house was a full mirror . The only mirror this house have was the one in the bathroom.Other than that, I find it perfect and looking forward to staying again to relax and explore the place next time.

From the moment we drove in the gates, we fell in love with the property, we were lucky enough to be blessed with 4 little baby lambs to enjoy watching running around with their mumma & the mumma cow & her growing boy, they all we’re happy to come & visit with us.
The house is lovely, very easy to check in, it was lovely inside & very clean! The eggs & fresh bread on arrival is such a wonderful touch, plus butter in the fridge too & Alaine even had the fire ready to go for us, which we used to keep us warm the whole weekend & they provided us with pre-cut wood making it super easy.
The only thing for us is, we prefer a softer mattress but in saying that we still all got some sleep, I would have loved a long mirror in one of the bedrooms.
We will definitely be back again, we loved it that much💚

Host was very friendly and big open spaces for the kids to explore.
The kids enjoyed interacting with the animals and the indoor and outdoor fires were a nice bonus.
Great location with easy access to Picton and the NSW train museum and surrounds.
Lots of inclusions including cooking gear, kids games, firewood, linen etc.
Overall a great and relaxing experience.

This place was even better than advertised. It’s has everything you need, a place for a fire inside and out, and a full kitchen for cooking.
Plus you get some visitors every now and then(cows and sheep). One of the best weekends away! Can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great experience. The property is impeccably clean. Surrounded by a beautiful green farm. There were farm animals grazing around. The hosts kept the firepits outside and inside the property ready to go. They even gave us bags of food to feed the farm animals. The property is quite near to the beautiful town of picton but secluded enough to enjoy the nature. Our child loved being here and spent most of the time running around the farm chasing the ducks. We would definetely be coming back. The hosts have kindly organised a surprise of a pack of marshmellows to burn on the firepit and enjoy.

The property is a beautifully presented modern cottage, in immaculate condition, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It is located in a quiet rural area, which is only a short drive to Thirlmere or Picton for meals or supplies. The property has a great kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, lounge, BBQ and outdoor undercover area with a a few friendly cows and sheep roaming around. Alaine was a wonderful host who allowed us to check-in early and even loaded up the wood fire ready to go. We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding and visit the southern highlands and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We could have easily stayed much longer.

We stayed here as we were visiting friends who live nearby. What a lovely clean, quiet and well equipped gem. Wonderful comfy beds, great a/c, and we loved the outdoor bbq and eating space. And the friendly sheep and cows were an added bonus. Must recommend the Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre Swimming pool in Picton if it’s hot and / or you have kids. Less than 10 mins drive away and a great facility with indoor and outdoor pools

We had a great short stay at Little Kingsley with our 3 year old daughter. We most enjoyed watching the cows and sheep in the paddock (a calf was born just the week prior!), the games and children's books provided, and the quiet location. Thank you for having us!

The house is well set up for a family holiday, with a portacot and highchair available to use if necessary. Excellent outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and Fire pit. My Children loved being able to explore, collect sticks and follow the sheep, cows and ducks around. Alaine also provided extra eggs for a family bbq and the best oranges I've eaten in a long time. Fantastic hospitality.

This was a wonderful stay in a great location. We visited from Central Coast,NSW and it was the perfect little weekend away. Very clean with lots of nice touches. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone travelling with another couple looking for a quiet and wholesome getaway.

We have just spent a weekend at Little Kingsley with our two young kids. We had an AMAZING time. The house we stayed at looked like it was brand new and it was fully equipped with everything you will ever need. The hosts have thought of everything - we had eggs, bread and firewood waiting for us. Kids had an amazing time running around the farm, playing with the two dogs, feeding the cows and sheep. They would only come in at night when it was time to sleep. The kids didn’t want to leave when it was our time to go but we will come back for sure. I would highly recommend this magical place to all families with kids. You will
not regret it.

The property was so lovely and quiet and we loved seeing all the animals right outside out window, the sheep, cows and even some cute lambs. The cottage itself was so lovely and new and everything was perfectly clean. Such nice touches having games for the kids to play and the fresh bread and eggs, which we enjoyed for breakfast. Wish we could have stayed for longer, the weekend wasn't enough! We loved relaxing by the fire inside and even cooked some marshmallows over the outdoor fire pit one night. Highly recommended!!

My two children, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Kingsley family farm. We visited the train museum which was great and had some quality family time relaxing at a beautiful and well appointed property. The joy we had with sitting outside having breakfast and in the afternoon by the outdoor firepit and watching the cows and sheep come right up to the fence for a visit was fantastic. Thanks for the surprise of fresh bread and eggs. We wished we had stayed longer!

Rural Comfort with baby & toddler
We stayed here with 2 babies under 2. It suited us well. The yard space was fabulous for the toddler. The inside fireplace was a treat in the cooler weather and fire pit outside was lots of fun. The cows and sheep wandering around the paddock were a hit.
The hosts thought of many conveniences to help make our stay comfortable such as the portacot, high chair, pantry staples, fresh eggs and bread, fireplace well stocked with wood.
The house was very very clean, tidy and felt new. The beds were comfy and all furniture was tasteful and fresh. The view of the paddocks was lovely and it was quiet and peaceful.
Thirlmere town (5mins away) is lovely and small but has the train museum, supermarket, playground and coffee shop etc. Picton has a range of shops and botanic gardens (and more) and was only 10mins away.
It was a lovely holiday with little ones, very relaxing, quiet and slow.

Alaine's cottage combine comfort and convenience with getting back to nature. We were able to experience the fun of an outdoor fire-pit and BBQ amongst the trees and cows, while our infant son slept soundly indoors in air-conditioned comfort.
