What a fantastic place! First and foremost, the cottage was SPOTLESS. Super clean! The beds were very comfortable. Good pressure in the showers. We really enjoyed the artwork touches, and especially appreciated the live plants in the house and the fantastic garden outside! It was definitely a huge treat! As many have mentioned, the screened porch you could sit on all day. We sat there. We sat at the table and chairs on the front patio in early evening. At night, the firepit with the adirondack chairs under the stars was great! Very convenient location, couple minutes drive to downtown Clayton, yet very quiet, beautiful neighborhood...your own little lush oasis. Laurie was super helpful and wonderful to communicate with. Loads of character in this charming cottage! A lot more fun than some of the sterile places. An A+!!

We came here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. During the stay, we sat on the screened-in porch and outside in the garden. I loved identifying the assortment of plants blooming in the garden and watching the birds in the bird bath. We ate several times in downtown Clayton which is only 5 minutes away. The neighborhood is quiet too. We slept like babies on the very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. For entertainment, we hiked at Black Rock Mountain State Park and Tallulah Gorge State Park, both only about 15 minutes away. We also drove out to Hardman Farm Historic Site which has a Mississippian Indian Mound over 1000 years old. It's near Helen, GA so we ate lunch in the Bavarian-style town. The host checked-in by a VRBO message to make sure we didn't have any questions. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Conveniently located close to everything in Clayton. We used this as a home base and also went to Dillard, Highlands and Lake Rabun.

This bungalow may be my favorite rental ever. It was beautiful inside and out and definitely the cleanest. The garden and outdoor areas were delightful; my sister and I could have lived on the screen porch. Kitchen was very well equipped. The only thing that bothered me (a little) was there were no shades or blinds on the bedroom windows, only sheer curtains. It was just a little disconcerting for us when we were changing, but that may be just us. Otherwise, it was a wonderful weekend. (Oh yea, a hot tub in the back would really make this place perfect!)

You wouldn't know there were houses close by, as the landscaping was exquisite and the neighborhood extremely quiet.

We enjoyed our stay here, as it was really a great location, clean and comfy. The outside areas were really wonderful. Lots of blankets, for the inside and a wonderful swing on the enclosed porch, fire pit with 4 chairs, a cute eating area outside as well. I would suggest you bring any additional amenities you would need, as the host did not provide a lot of the extras, like extra coffee, shampoo, conditioner, ironing board and extra toilet paper.

This cottage was just as described. The location is secluded yet minutes from downtown.

The place was cute as can be. My wife would have loved to have bought it. Very close to the downtown shops and restaurants.

this serene, peaceful place was just what we needed. All the flowers and plants along with the lovely screened in porch is what attracted us to this place and we were not disappointed! We'd go again in a heartbeat and stay for a week. It's close to town but far enough away for a quiet little spot where you can enjoy sitting on screened in porch or a deck with nature all around you.

Overall, we had a very nice stay. The property is clean and comfortable. The property manager did her best to see to it that we were well accomodated. VRBO apparently dropped the ball in seeing to it that we had all the check in info we needed upon our arrival. The property manager picked up where they left off and everything went smoothly after I contacted her directly. You won't be disappointed with this little gem of a house or with the town of Clayton, GA. I had no idea it was such a lovely area. I would certainly go back again and stay at this lovely home.
