Homey and cosy place to stay

What I like the most about this property is its homey and cosy vibe. The place is surrounded by greeneries and also ideally situated near the seaside. The owner (Lalaine) and the caretaker (Christine) put their best efforts to provide all our basic needs in the island. Thank you so much guys. We’ll definitely be coming back and will recommend this place to everyone who wants to explore the beauty of Samal Island.

I just hope that the Island would have a better access to water system / water reservoir so that the locals and the tourists alike could live comfortably.

Exceptional

My host was amazing, came and picked us up form the ferry port for no extra charge. Great communication and the complimentary mangos a great touch. The accommodation is very charming and makes you feel like you have your own slice of paradise in the jungle. Rented a scooter from the property and explored all over the island. Our lovely host answered all of our questions and gave us good advice on places to see, also offered to arrange in house massages and day trips for us. Will deffintly be returning in the future :)

It was pretty fair. The staff who accomodate us is very welcoming and helpful to us.

The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. They have most of the facilities a guest would need.

There was no electricity on our first night of stay there. The bathroom had quite a bad smell then the flush of the toilet and heater didn’t work. They have complementary coffee but when I checked it is already expired.

Big, spacious, hot.

Very large, good price for the size. The water cooler is a nice touch. The host is helpful.

Property is hidden away, no signage, tricky to find. Shower is difficult to use. Aircon is out of gas so it does not cool the room, makes it hard to sleep.

Exceptional

The host and Christine, managing the place were communicative and gave a lot of recommendations. It's one of the cleanest and well maintained houses I have ever rented out. And overall a homey place among the locals who are super friendly. It's good to rent the scooter and explore the island. Not many public entrances to beach and sea, but they can be found. Easy access to ferry. Close by is Babak where you can get fresh fruits and veggies.

Exceptional

So peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by nature, yet just a 3 minute walk to stores and transportation. Lalaine has definitely gone to considerable expense and trouble to make everything perfect for tourists. Price is quite reasonable.

Personally I absolutely loved my stay there, but it might not suit people with ambulatory issues.

I really liked the location, it’s close to the port but it feels like your in the middle of the jungle which was exactly what I was looking for. The owner has a motorbike that she will rent and to get around and visit the sights of Samal this is an essential otherwise you might find yourself a little isolated. The road in is also a bit rough so you should at least have reasonable skills on a bike and also a reasonable degree of fitness. Her caretaker on the property Christine was also an excellent person ensuring your needs were met.

There is an air conditioner in the bedroom, it keeps it cool, but the rest of the place despite having several fans can get quite hot during the day, so an air conditioner should be considered for the main living area.

Really good place to stay on a budget. Very nice accommodation. In a remote spot. So, pretty quiet. Great Wifi. Great amenities. Close to ferry terminal. So easy access to the rest of the island. Nice touches include, soaps, shampoo, washing up liquid etc...We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would not hesitate to come back.

A little bit hard to find the place as it is a little off track. Meet and greet at ferry terminal would be good. A communication number with a Filipino number would also be good, as i had no Filipino sim card. Plus, my friend was reluctant to call a +65 number for assistance. But i believe the accommodation is new to Booking.com, so some trial and error is to be expected. But don't let this put you off booking, as the place really is great to stay at. I highly recommend!

hidden gem!

This is a lovely place to stay fully equipped and only 5 mins walk from the pier Unexpected find from booking dot com Very reliable internet, lovely garden surrounding, excellent host very communicative and very helpful cares Christine next door There is also a scooter for rent on premises if you need one Highly recommended

hot water out of service. but weather so hot you probably don’t need it
