Terrible.

Nothing.

Loud groups late into the night. Zero response from the owner. Spider infestations in the cottage. Would not stay here again.

10/10 location, 2/10 everything else.

Great location, 5 min drive Port Carling. The cabin was clean. It has basic kitchen utensils and tools. They did have two moveable fans

There isn’t an office on site and the email confirmation didn’t provide the cabin number or code to the door which led to having to wait for a cleaner to respond to my call about how to check in. The cabins are close together. The picture of the cabin I rented is not the cabin we were given. The cabin was leaning like a fun house. Very little was at a right angle. All materials and furniture were very cheap. A sign above the toilet asked you use the garbage for specific items but there wasn’t a garbage can. The lighting was poor in each room. Lastly some of the screens on the front door was very ripped which is not great for mosquitoes. The price for this experience was outrageous. But it was fine for us to crash for a night as we were north for a party but I would never recommend staying to use this as a vacation spot.

The location is pretty and amazing

The payment system. Our payment was not processed and the owner tried to call instead of leaving an email or a voicemail. I don’t prefer to answer calls from unknown numbers due to random fraud calls all over. When I received a call again the second day I texted them back and the owner mentioned he’s calling in regards to our stay. And if i don’t send the money they’ll have to report it to the police! This was his first statement which actually threw me off. He could have contacted booking.com or even left me a voicemail or even an email regarding the payments as I had used my friends card for the payment I wasn’t aware about the situation. I later ended up e-transfering to the owner. But like I said this could have been avoided in the first place if they would have contacted me by other means. It totally smashed my overall experience with the place. The house and the location is good but the way they handle the payments inquiry is the worse. Just a recommendation, don’t start by threatening someone that you’ll be calling the police. Try to reach out to your merchants first to get in touch with the guests!

It was nice altogether, but the payment for cabin was $100 bucks higher!

I like location where it was located near to the Port Carling city. The beach was nice and clean

The room was not ready before our arrival, they cleaned it and mopped it after which made the rooms wet upon our arrival. We paid $477 for our stay for one night which is equivalent to an 4 or 5 star hotel . While booking it advised us of $384, not sure how charges increased overnight

The beach was perfect for families/kids! The water was clean and there was nice sand. There were kayaks to use free of charge. There was also a pretty view of the water from the cabins. The cabins themselves have good bones and potential for being really cute! There was a decent amount of outdoor space to lounge and to eat a meal. The atmosphere was chill. When the staff showed up they were friendly and accommodating to bring any items we needed that were not provided. The location was great - not right in town but close enough for a short drive.

The cabins were missing a lot of amenities, such as a garbage can, a microwave, a coffee pot, some utensils etc. The utensils that were provided were cheap and needed updating. While the rooms were clean, they were missing that professional feel you expect to have when paying a few hundred dollars. The windows needed washing, some blinds did not work, counter tops were cluttery and the space lacked function. For example, in my cottage there were no hooks for hanging towels or coats. A single sponge and tea towel was provided, only, making it difficult to keep our space as clean as we would have liked. A broom would have also been very helpful as there was a lot of sand and no way of cleaning it, along with broken glass that we could not clean up. The highway is very close and very loud. The property felt a little like someone’s personal home, w some childrens toy clutter and some food garbage on the main shared lot, and a fire detector that sat outside with low battery chirping the whole stay.

I do not recommend this place!

I liked the beach and the view from the balcony. The beach was large with fine sand and smooth entry in the water. The lake small with calm waters and Canadian geese around. What a waste of beauty for the poor quality of service and accommodation.

The pictures in the booking site are misleading. The place is not new or clean. The cabin was unkept and smelly, dirty and old. The place is very nosy baking right on the Muskoka rd. 118, the entrance is on the curve very hard and dangerous to access. The staff increased my price right on the spot, she asked me for more money over the price they advertise the cabin for. I would not recommend this property. Looks like a scam.

It was a great escape from the city for the long weekend and we would recommend the property to anyone wanting a small,

Very quiet, peaceful, and cozy wooden cabin. Nice view of the lake and easy access to nearby towns and other lakes. The owners were very kind and professional and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything.

Could have had more utensils, pots/pans, and a few towels would’ve been appreciated. Minor concerns, though.
