Parking is absolutely HORRIBLE for a lifted truck!! Our truck would NOT fit in the parking garage and we had to back out of a tee tiny parking lot. We ended up parking in the north parking lot and paying for parking. Hotel was amazing tho!! It was under renovations, so we did not get to enjoy the restaurant or lounge areas. Our room was very nice! Surprisingly the cleanest I have ever been in and had a great view of the beehives on the third floor!! We watched them swarm right before we checked out in the morning. We received a free bottle of sparkling wine with our booking with Hotels.com. Just a few minutes walk to the Civic Center where we enjoyed a comedy show!! Perfect stay!!

Great check in. Very nice room. Very comfortable bed. Small, but for a couple, it was perfect.

This was my first time staying here and I must say I will definitely be back. Hotel is amazing

I love the way the hotel and room was decorated, but for a weekend night in thr downtown area of the city... i would have expected valea parking and someone cleaning common areas like the elevators and hallways.

The hotel was under construction , but rooms where remodeled , the walls where very thin you could hear the people next to you coughing , they also put the ac return next to the bed so it was very load,

Rooms that I had very spacious . One staff member went above and beyond. He should be hotel manager as he was polite and very helpful . His name was Chaz and was the vallet manager. He went above and beyond to help every guest,, he was the only one. Check in staff- no customer service skills, worried about personal phone conversations not the clients, not to mention how check in area looks like.
Elevator - had to use staff elevator after waiting on one for over 40 minutes. Smell of weed in the hallway towards pool area . Pool has a sign don’t use as they are adding chemicals when in fact is not even taken care of and it’s full of leafs. I requested to cancel due to the condition of the hotel(- it is under construction and because they state that on the website they denied request, but guess what surprise I had at check out- they charged a cancellation fee for each room even tough I checked in as I didn’t have other choice. So I had to wait to get my money back 3 days. What if I didn’t have extra funds in my account to be able to wait 3 days???
This hotel has potential , maybe will be better once construction is finished and staff replaced( no safety for guests provided- light cable, wires hanging above your head when waiting for elevator- but as the checkin staff reminds the guests that it states on the website that they under construction- yes it states that but it doesn’t describe the actual facts and how unsafe this hotel is. Pictures on web are not accurate.

Although tenovations are occurring in the lobby, the alternate accommodations for check in was fine & easy. Hotel room was nice, clean, beautiful and comfortable, walking distance to dowtown shops and restaurants.

Great stay, hotel was in the process of renovations, but the service was second to none. Rooms were clean, non smoking. Extremely nice staff. Received a text every morning to check on us. Literally asked for towels thru a text message. Loved that. In walking distance to all bars.

Very nice and romantic

The Hotel could tell that they are renovating so you can decide if you want that inconvenience instead of being surprised by it. It is also not pleasant to be close to boiled by the shower when it just produced hot hot water and it was impossible to get cold. The management was supposed to get in touch about this unpleasant incident but of course they haven’t. The room was nice and beautiful though.

Loved our stay at the admiral, such a unique and beautiful building. Only thing i could complain about is we didn’t get our complementary bottle of champagne. But wasn’t a big deal for us, not much of a drinker. I did ask about it though because I was planning on making mamosas. Oh well. Really a fantastic stay, great surroundings with a lot to do. Comfortable beds and felt spoiled.

The room was furnished nicely, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom very nice. The air conditioning was in a closet in the room and was very loud when on. It was also not very adjustable. It would only turn down to 67. Getting ready got a ball I could have used it down a little more. Overall I was extremely pleased with our stay!

Our stay at The Admiral was absolutely amazing! The hotel is still undergoing some renovations but our room was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable and the room was filled with beautiful art. We had an amazing view of downtown Mobile. The common area spaces are also well designed with cool art. The hotel is walking distance to some great restaurants as well. We stayed with our two young kids and it was perfect.

The hotel was excellent but very disappointed about there not being any parking for guest. The parking garage next to hotel was an additional $50 plus tax. That was the only disappointing thing but other then parking issue the hotel is excellent for Mardi Gras.

Even with the renovations, during Mardi Gras this hotel was amazing. The shower was my favorite, wish i could have taken it with me. The bed was like a cloud. And the artwork. Lets get onto that because i wasn't ready. Purple is my favorite color and it with the sculpture piece made me feel like I wasn't in Mobile.

The constant construction work outside my window at 7 in the morning.

The lobby area is still being revised and the elevator area is tight but other than that everything was great and the rooms are a decent size.

I had an emergency and had to leave in a rush. I mistakenly left my wallet in the rush. All the cash was stolen from my wallet. I had a few ones in the main part but there was a $100 folded and tucked between my gas card and debit card. It was not there when my wallet was returned. I will never stay at this establishment again due to theft. I work hard for my money and think I spend it wisely but not this time, not on this hotel. That $100 wasn't just money. That came from my son when he was stationed in El Paso. It was sentimental to me and your staff took that away form me. Their greed tarnished a memory. This one cruel act ruined everything.

No valet parking or onsite restaurants. Staff was incredible from Bellman on up. Some inconsiderate guests pulled the fire alarm twice. My wife has some mobility issues and when the staff found out they went all out assisting her to and from the room on two occasions. They insured she would be helped first if there was an actual emergency. Highly recommend this Hotel. Room was great staff even better.

The property is under renovation, but this did not impact my stay. It is Mardi Gras in Mobile and this hotel is very convenient for parades and balls. The only complaints that I have is the late night desk clerk could not make me another key to replace the one that I left in my room. She did finally escort me to the room personally. The other complaint is that there is no hotel parking. There is a parking garage on the same block, but is cost $50/day to park there. I know that this is common in larger cities with a hotel stay, but not Mobile.

Hotel is being remodeled. Check in was a disaster. They had lines of people and then only 2 working elevators. We had to use a service elevator. The gentleman at check in was rude. No parking, be ready to pay $50 a day to park next door.

Really enjoyed the stay but the rooms are over decorated and underfurnished

The staff especially were great , especially Mrs. Denise (she is a stellar employee.)and the rooms were clean. They also provided a complimentary bottle of champagne. However, I could hear everything inside the hotel and outside. It went on all night. We also were in a room where there was a constant sound of flowing water. It literally felt like water was rushing in the room. I like the location but if we stayed here again, it would have to be a party night, and not in room 901.

Hotel has been updated. Rooms were very clean. The issue was next door. Doors slamming literally shakes the entire wall. Some early risers were inconsiderate and let the door slam before 5am several times. It’s just how the hotel was built, so just be aware that your shared wall will shake if they’re inconsiderate and just let the door slam. I think this could be fixed with a slow closing door modification.

We had a great stay. The staff was very friendly. We had an issue with the tv, it stopped working and they couldn't fix it so they moved us right away. Was very pleased with the service and rooms were nice size. Bed was a little hard for me but I'm used to a softer bed so for others it may be just fine. The bed did have lots of pillows which was great. I seen some reviews talk about bad water pressure, we were on the 8th floor and ours seemed fine. Only thing I didn't care for in the rooms were the a/c and heat units were pretty loud. But over this to me was an amazing little gem in Mobile. The renovation on the restaurant downstairs still wasn't done but the rooms are done and they did a great job with them.

It's in a very good location. Walking distance to Dauphin Street with lots of restaurants - like New Orleans, in a small scale. The hotel is going through renovations. The room I was in was very nice. Amenities were lacking though. No restaurants on site.

We knew the hotel was under construction and there was no restaurant available; however, there was no vending machine; no recommendations on places to order food from (we arrived in the evening w/torrential rains and were very hungry after a long flight). We had to get in the car to look for some place to eat.
Parking: Although parking is nearby, there isn't any covered connection to get to the hotel, so we had to wait about 10 minutes in the car until the rain subsided a bit to be able to walk to the hotel entrance.
The remodeled rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. Only recommendation is to add a safe in the room to store small valuables.
Also, we were surprised to see that the new bathrooms did not have an exhaust fan to get rid of some of the humidity.
Location is nice. Very near to downtown and Dauphin street and the staff was friendly.

We really the gal that checked us in and went above and beyond to help us with parking garage.

The bed was comfortable. We received a message after we booked that the hotel was under construction but that the rooms were all renovated. The parking is not included and not convenient. There was no lobby to the hotel. The biggest thing was we did not have hot water and the toilet was questionable about flushing. We told the staff the hot water was not working and they told us because we were on the 11th floor that the pipes were too far away and it takes time for the hot water to travel. We left it on for 20 min and it still wasn’t hot to which they said it’s just the way the building is made. I think the building has potential. I wouldn’t stay there until their construction is finished… and ask for a room on the lower floors if you want hot water.
