A very tired hotel. Staff were great but hotel was very basic.

DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS HOTEL.
They are not honest people. When I arrived, I’ve asked the receptionist how much it will cost me to upgrading my room and without any question she said I’ve given you free upgrade, guess what I’ve ended up in a BOX ROOM. with very old and dirty furniture.
Room full of dust, no net curtains, they didn’t replace any used cups or glass I had to ask them to give clean cup/glasses. coffee machine don’t work when I contacted the reception they told me will send someone after waiting over one hour I’ve called them again they told me to take the machine to reception so they can have a look at it, I sad you can't be serious, answer was its not part of the job for reception the don’t provide room service I said I am not looking for room service this equipment belongs to the hotel and it should be in working condition they told me no one is available now and they don’t know when someone is going to be.
I have used many hotels in many different countries but never experienced anything like
NH Atlanta Rotterdam. I’ve found most of the reception staff very rude and arrogant.
Only positive thing about this hotel is location but they are not the only one. I couldn’t wait for my check out date finally it came on the 29.04.2024 as I was coming out I’ve noticed an oriental lady having problem with one of the reception guy and he was rude. This hotel need to train there STAFF properly.

Hotel was in a good location however very dated. That wasn’t the end of the world but the room was quite dirty and grubby. The staff were lovely. We stayed for 2 nights which was fine but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer.
Have stayed in other NH hotels before which were lovely and quite modern but this was very different.

Really good location in the city center.
Is old and worn, and in need of a thorough renovation.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Good large rooms, but again old and worn furniture.
The breakfast seems impressive at first glance, but powdered scrambled eggs, orange juice was some kind of juice, and the coffee from an old machine.
Overall I would recommend finding another hotel for the price. I will not stay there again.

Kettle was full of filth when I got to the room.
When I asked for an iron & ironing board - I was told that i would have to come down at the reception to get it. But these items should have been in the room in the first place.
Terrible service at the reception when I got there. I was told that additional requests made at the time of booking were just ignored. They gave me a room smaller than what I had booked without giving me clear information. Typical mistake of assuming that guest was dumb or the staff being over-clever.
I will try my best not to stay at this hotel the next time. Reception guy was rude.

My first room on the 3rd floor was very poor. The hair dryer for example was so disgusting, I didn't want to touch it! It was full of scratches, flaking paint and areas were it has been back glued toether. The windows are metail frames and single glazed - and badly fitting. They let in drafts and noise. It was the worst night sleep I have ever had in any hotel. I was then moved to to a quiet room.- which was better. But after settling down, I wanted to turn on the TV to find no remote in the room! And so it goes on. I for one will not be returning.

It was a lovely hotel and appreciate that they are doing their bit in terms of eco sustainability. This is a core value for me. The air conditioning in the room was great and absolutely no issues with the Reception service and welcome.
The only negative comments that I would have are in relation to the noise at night. The hotel is in a great location, however, this means it is on a busy road and the rooms just didn't seem sound proofed at all. It made it very hard to sleep.
In addition, when the room was cleaned, it seems some things were missed. For example, toilet roll was not topped up and bins not cleaned. I do appreciate this may be for eco sustainability reasons though.

It is located in the centre of the city near everything you might want. The building is very elegant and we can see that it is well maintained although a few details are missing.
There was a balcony in my room but we could not use it. It could be a good idea to open it , make divisions between the rooms and clean that area.
On the last day I discovered that there was a fridge in the room, inside the wardrobe.
Overall, I had a pleasant time there.

I liked the location of the hotel, and it was easy to get around from the location.
At night, it was extremely noisy, with loud talking from the street and cars revving into the early morning hours.
The rates are fairly low, but you pay for it with subpar amenities.

The big issue for me is the lack of air conditioning

Having booked a Superior Room which should have included a bath we were allocated a small room with a tiny shower and a seperate toilet whicjh was squeezed into a room no bigger than a cupboard. You get more leg room on the cheapest budget airline. The room was not cleaned properly before our arrival. Net curtains were torn and dirty and black mould around rhe shower tiles. It is probably the worst hotel i have stayed in. On the positive side its in a good location and the art deco style of the building would shine if the hotel was fully refurbished.

Did not even get to stay in the hotel as my booking was canceled by the hotel at 9pm.
We initially checked in at 12pm with one of the staff but room was not ready so we got our luggages stored & had a “check-in” tag tagged to our luggages. Went along with our day & came back at 9pm to collect our room keys but was told by another staff that booking was canceled because they couldn’t verify my card. My booking has been successful & still exists here in hotels.com. I believe hotels.com plays a part in verifying the card that is stored in my booking even tho I have opted for “pay at property”. Furthermore the staff could have asked me for another card / method of payment but she did not and just kept telling us that the hotel is fully booked.
I believe one of the staff screwed up our booking & gave our room away because if my booking was not confirmed, the earlier staff who checked my booking & stored our luggages at 12pm would have told us so. The 9pm staff told us that the earlier staff did not try to verify my card so he does not know. If she was really the first to verify my card at 9pm, the room should only be canceled at that moment so how can the hotel be fully booked if that was the case?
Anyway to cut it short, I’m pretty sure one of the staff screwed up my booking & used “card cannot be verified” as an excuse to cover up their screw up.

Hotel is tired and needs investment. Rooms small. Lamp not working, fridge full of food from a previous guest and when reception advised they didn’t seem worried! 4hrs later I had to ask again for it to be removed. Wi-Fi not working for 24hrs and when travelling on business it is a major factor in booking hotels, on reporting to the reception “is there a problem with the Wi-Fi”. Response probably we are working on it!!! No apologies etc. having stayed previously 5years ago there was a nice bar/coffee lounge to meet with suppliers etc now there are no facilities. Very disappointing to be honest. Only given the rating I have as the bed/bathrooms where clean etc.

One can't ask for a more central location for a hotel in Rotterdam, so there's that. And the room was nice and the bed was comfy. But the rest of the hotel experience was not up to the standards one expects in this category. The chief complaint is the extreme tardiness of the room service on a day we were not checking out. They're apparently understaffed and obviously prioritizing preparing rooms for new check-ins, but not getting our beds made until well after 4:00 pm is unacceptable.
Furthermore, the lobby has a tiny shop where a small bottle of Coca Cola will set you back 5 euros. Like, forget about the fact that there are many stores not two blocks away, but, if you're going to charge that kind of price, how about going the extra kilometer and putting it in the room's minibar, for crissakes? Why make me have to go all the way down to the lobby in my bathrobe to get ripped off like that?
Don't be stingy with the Nespresso capsules, either, yo! And sugar packets! Give us this day our sugar packets!
As for the TV: Having only three over-the-air channels that broadcast in English is ridculous. Connect it to the internet and add Chromecast so I can see the pics I took.
Finally, the bathroom is almost FATALLY beautiful. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the elegant tile work. But they really need to consider putting in additional handle bars because getting in and out of that big, tall tub onto the tile floor can prove deadly should you slip and fall.

Hotel is on a busy road and being an old hotel there was no double glazing so we had loud traffic noise until at least 1am, maybe the rooms at the back are quieter?
Check in was a bit chaotic, rooms not ready leaving lots of people waiting in the reception for a while.
The room itself was very nice, spacious and clean, comfortable beds and bathroom toiletries.
Great location for exploring the centre of Rotterdam.

location is quite good, near metro, train station and market hall, etc. But it is noisy as it is beisdes a car park and the window is not sound proof. The wall is also not sound proof and i could hear people talking the next door.
The bed is firm and comfy but the room is cold probably due to the old windows, Breakfast is very good

The hotel has very nice rooms - spacious, clean, comfortable. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived early so they stored our luggage for us and gave us directions to go exploring Rotterdam. The hotel has good security requiring a key card to enter the hotel after 11 PM and to use the elevator. The buffet breakfast is very good with many options. The breakfast room is also very nice. I would recommend this hotel

It is one of the oldest hotels in Rotterdam, but very well maintained with updated hotel amenities, security and other standards used in a modern hotel. Unlike the newer hotels it is very atmospheric. Highly recommend the NH Atlanta.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic staff, superb experience and will definitely stay here again. Substantial room at very competitive price. Very close to a multitude of shops, restaurants, bars, and main classical music concert hall and large cinema only around the corner. Faultless experience.

Other than the super dusty room and very dusty AC that would circulate even more dust through-out the room, my hotel stay was somewhat satisfactory. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there are free bottled drinks offered daily such as water, ice tea, alcohol, and soda.

I had read the reviews and was expecting the room to be a bit old and dated, so I chose a superior room. The biggest problem is that the layout is not functional. The bathroom is extremely small and very dated. The toilet is separate in a room the size of the broom closet (you had to leave the door open to use it). The beds were hard. There was so much furniture in the room that you couldn’t put your suitcase anywhere. And it was all in a fairly poor condition. Finally, there was some sort of motor in the roof that kicked in every hour during the night. My point is that you can have an old and dated room and still be comfortable. This room is not comfortable and the price does not reflect that level of quality.
