Loved this place! The room was huge and so comfortable!

The hotel is older, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and a good price. The manager is very nice and welcoming.
Breakfast was Continental, so not a lot of choices, but the manager offered to make scrambled eggs also.
We would stay again.

Very large comfortable room. The mattress was very good. The room had three comfortable easy chairs. Everything worked. The only problem was the trains that went by at night. But my portable white noise machine took care of that.

I wasnt sure what to expect as I had brought a pet (first hotel allowing pets) and was looking for an inexpensive hotel available on the same day. Check in was fast and the staff was very nice. The room was neat, and other guests were friendly. I was very plelased.

Only down was not much for breakfast

Older hotel, but the room looked better than the exterior. I thought there would be a morning breakfast, but I saw a sign saying there was a separate fee for that. I left early, and the lobby was not open when I left anyway. It was ok for a place to get some sleep and a morning shower before getting on the road.

This is an old hotel but clean and comfortable. The faucets in my room work but were extremely hard to turn on. Bed was clean and comfortable. I felt safe staying here.

Property is away from the train tracks. What you pay for is what you get. Outdated facility. Needs improvement in parking lot. No breakfast but a McD is around the corner. No desk in room I stayed in. Three bulky chairs in room. Needed to do some work and had to use bed for a desk. Otherwise, had a good night sleep.

Train noise wasn't too loud.
Property condition can't compete with hotels in nicer locations but does not affect quality of experience.

It was just a one night stay to get sleep on a long road trip. However, room was very dirty and old, fridge didnt work, room was falling apart, carpet and furniture dirty,

Nice enough motel sandwiched between two hamburger joints. Lobby smelled of curry which is fine if you like curry, but I don't so found it annoying. Check-in was fine. Keycard access to the rooms. Parking area is fenced except for the main entrance. Rooms are behind an enclosed walkway which will be nice in the winter. My room was good sized with a king sized bed, three chairs and a table. A 42" LG TV with DirecTV was nice and included HBO and MAX so lots to look at. The heater/AC unit is located in the back of the unit which helped keep the noise down. It did not have the "fan always on" option that I like to help control noise. One hand towel and two large bath towels were present - no hand towels. There were busy train tracks across the street and I could hear the horn when they came by. Not loud enough to wake me but a minor annoyance. Bottom line - an OK basic model that had the best rates in the area when I stayed.

I just liked it.

It was simply an awful experience. We could not find a room in Gallup area, it was our only option. We checked in pretty late at around 11 pm. All we cared for a decent night's sleep as we were very tired.
We checked in crashed into our bed. However, we could hear what other people were talking in next door. Constant noise of people walking in the corridor, stomping on upstair, frequent loud voice of kids and adults laughing, loud banging of doors that literarily shaking our room as well. We hoped it will eventually stop but by 1am it was even worse. So bad that even very patient person like me had to call the reception to complain. After that noise was little less and little less frequent but it never stopped for the entire night. To make thing worse the motel had the worst sound proofing - you could hear the freight train passing through the town several time during the night. Our room was the farthest from the freight line but we woke up at least ten times for train noise.
The breakfast was pretty basic, other hotel/motels of same ratings usually have better choices.

The manager was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. It’s an older hotel. It was cold during the night, but the heating worked excellently. We had a little distraction with our smoke alarm chirping. Like others, we could hear the train rolling by, but that gave it it’s own romance.
We would stay here again.

Friendly staff. Easy access to room.

The inn was clean, but very worn, and across the highway from a busy train track, so it was hard to fall asleep. The employee was very nice and polite.
Rates were outstanding.

An older property but room was very clean. Breakfast was pretty minimal. Train line is literally right across the street.

Aged, but clean. Many lights in the room didnt work, and the refrigerator didnt work. But for the price it was a decend place to sleep.

Do not overlook this gem because it is inexpensive. Clean, comfortable and mostly quiet. On old Rt 66 to boot. There are train tracks across the street. I found the noise from the trains soothing because I grew up with trains within 100 yds of our yard. Train fanatics could spend hours watching for trains. Easy on and off 40. The owner of this motel also owns The Bombay Grill and Buffet, probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten.

It's a old hotel but everything was very clean and the staff was great. We arrived after 11pm and "J" greeted us with a smile and was very helpful. In the morning the lady who checked us out was very nice and offered us bottled water for our continued road trip.

We just wanted an inexpensive place to spend the night and this fit the bill. With tax, we paid about $62. It's an older property but the room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room included a recliner chair - nice! Train tracks run all along this stretch of Route 66 and in this location, there's an intersection requiring the trains to blow their horns. It didn't really bother us. The included breakfast was a bust though - just Cheerios, white bread and coffee. We opted to grab breakfast elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience in this hotel. The tenant upstairs were running in the room all night and I call the front desk to make them stop but nothing happen. Then I call the front desk again, but they start to say things like “if you want them to be quiet you can say to them yourself or you can leave.” When I check out the man says “ if you think they are aloud you can call the police” and said I had no common sense. It was a little child or a dog in that room which is okay by itself , but be noisy was not yet I wasn’t going to call the police on them anyway, yet the hotel took it on me somehow.

We really enjoyed the vintage furnishings of the classic this Route 66 motel. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Had area to park truck with a U-Haul trailer. We like that they are pet friendly. Train does go by quite often, but did not bother us. Sonic Drive-In restaurant right next door

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and nice and had a very vintage feel but with great wi-fi too. Coffee and simple breakfast in the morning. We would certainly stay there again.

Vintage hotel on historical Route 66. Nice owners. They were very kind and helpful. I had trouble with the key card, yet they were patient.

We enjoyed our stay here. The outside looks a little run down but our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The decor and appliances were dated but it worked out to be a cozy stay! The gentleman at the front office was efficient and kind. Worst part was the train across the street, but that's going to be most of the places on RT 66.

This is a decent spot for frugal people. Dated, but clean. Large room. Trains run about every 15 minutes throughout the night near these western Gallup motels. We would stay again.

I was impressed with this motel while traveling through Gallup, NM. Normally, I will just stay at a Motel 6, but glad I decided to try this motel. The room was clean and well maintained. Owner/staff friendly. Yes, the decor is a little dated, but is not something that is important to me. The location is secure and very quiet (I only heard a distant train horn about 730am when I was in the shower). The room was large, had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, TV with lots of channels, clean plush bath towels and sitting chairs. Shower water pressure and temperature best I have had in a hotel/motel since I could remember. And best of all, a very reasonable price for an overnight stay. One of the best budget motels I have stayed in a long time.

Good for short stay not a lot within walking distance a nice breakfast basic cereal and coffee

The ONLY reason to stay there is if you can't find anywhere else to stay that will accept your pet. Otherwise, IT'S A DUMP.

I felt fairly safe in the area. The roomed seemed clean but needed repairs.

Stay at Royal Holiday was So So. Staff (owners) Friendly. Very quiet for a Rt 66 hotel if you stay in ground floor. Room was clean but showing lots of signs of need of repair. Bathroom calk around part of tub and wall boards bad. Smell was good in room. Bed was old spring type mattress but fairly comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. Toast, a few sugar type cereals, one type of cookie, overall very sparce compared to most Motels.
IceMachine broken but they gave us some ice from their own refrigerator I think.
Grounds were safe and secure with parking adequate.
We would stay again
