Room was the very simple thing we were expecting & served us well. Staff was engaging and informative.

We stayed in 5 hotels on a road trip ... this was at the bottom. Just old and the heat was strange so we didn't use it ... smelled old ... spread out property buildings. Good location to town but felt we had better options available. Gave it a try. Once is enough.

We had a great time in Ashland. Staying at the Bard was a last minute decision. It was fine. Bathroom great, I like the layout of the room. My only comment is the duvet would not stay on the bed, it was made from a slippery material that didn't want to stay on the bed at night.

The hotel is all very tired and could do with a facelift and new interior decoration. We stay there for the convenient location. We can walk to the plays, restaurants and shopping and never need to drive once we are there.

The bed was horrible. Even the pillows were super flat so they folded them in half and out in the pillowcase. I’m not super picky but I have to say that was the worst hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. The location is great and for an old hotel the rooms are cute. But they have got to upgrade the mattresses

A very nice place in an extremely charming town. The breakfast provided was also good and generous. We stayed in the Verona building, which looks to me the most charming of the complex.

Room was adequate but not very updated. Very little hot water in the shower made for an uncomfortable experience.

Noisy neighbor slamming doors
Didnt appreciate the yapping dofs either

This place is very unique to stay at. Really enjoyed having a patio. The rooms are very good sized. The only complaint is the towel rack in the room was barely hanging on. Other than that, would stay here again if I ever cared to go back to Ashland.

Loved the central location of this hotel.

I’ve stay but there was not a lot of people there and we placed in a room far away from the hot tub and the staircases . It didn’t seem necessary to room us so far away from stairs.

The Bard’s in was lovely and located only a couple blocks from all the restaurants, shops, and the theaters. It also had complementary EV charging which was great.

Bed was comfy, but comforter kept sliding off the bed. The room was clean and tidy, but no microwave. Floors were freezing and the heater worked great, but not on the floors!

Great location.

Nice little location but did not like having barking dogs on either side of us.

Our toilet didn’t work so that was inconvenient.
2.0
First room had leaky ceiling, which woke me up at 5 AM. Had to change rooms the next day. The second room was much better. Overall the places getting a little long in the tooth and could use some minor updating. Breakfast offerings in the dining room are also somewhat limited, this has Diminished over the past several years.

Wonderful Staff

Unfortunately, the room next door had a party until 3am. We called the desk 4 times for noise complaint but they did nothing during the night. Front desk was gracious to move our room the next day but we endured a sleepless night the first night. Once moved our stay was great. Better training for the staff on how to actually handle a noise complaint.

Convenient and comfortable

Great location near lots of shops & restaurants, but the walls were so paper thin. We could hear our noisy neighbors all night. Also the free breakfast consisted of a lot of unhealthy junk food.

Location to central Ashland

The Pillows need to be replaced and bedding as well.
The faucet was
loose and leaking. The toilet also needs to be repaired does not flush unless you hold the handle down. Kinda just needs an update.

Loved the location

We had a pleasant stay. Our tv wasn't working, so they moved us to an upgraded room at no charge. Located just a short walk to Ashland Plaza.

Quaint little hotel on the edge of historic downtown Ashland. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Loved the proximity to restaurants, shops, and Lithia Park. My only complaint is that the walls are a little thin - we could hear our neighbor's alarm go off in the morning. But, other than that, it is generally quiet, a nice place to stay, and a great value. We will likely come back.

Clean cozy Rm 112 comfortable King Studio of the main building was just right for my husband and I. The Location is an easy walk the short blocks to Lithia Park, downtown eateries, pubs with live music, shopping. Liked that the toilet & shower were a separate room from the sink/vanity, and the lights and exhaust fan were on separate switches. Adequate hot/cold breakfast options are available until 9:30 (THANK YOU!), in a nice dining area. Front desk women was very friendly.

Pricing was good. Parking was impossibly get out of car. Had to park in middle of lot to unload baggage. Needs freshening up inside. Dated.
Bed was horrible. Pillows horrible had worst night sleep of entire 9 day trip.

Very nice staff, great location, decent breakfast. The bathroom was a little dirty, but overall a good value.

Great room decor & location to downtown is spot on!

First room had an unusable bathroom with parts of the shower scattered around, received an "upgrade" but had to have 2 queen beds on our anniversary. Second room had a leaky air conditioner that made droppping noises and wet the carpet all night. Louise at front desk was great, hot tub was nice. Location was perfect. Wouldnt stay again thought

I'm sorry I cannot say the billing problem I had - all was fantastic except for that.

This is a great location. While some rooms are dated, one cannot beat the convenience.

Great location for plays, park eating and shops.

My family has been coming to the Shakespeare Festival since 2013. This is our first time staying at The Bard’s Inn, and I think this will be our go to place to stay moving forward. The staff was great, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the inn is in a great location, just 6-8 min walk to the theaters, shopping, and food.

Different buildings with diffetent features. We were in a 2 story walk up, which was fine but carpets needed updating. Perfect to walk downtown!

There needed to be more parking.

If visiting Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival you won’t get much closer to theaters than Bard’s Inn. The rooms are clean and pleasantly appointed. Parking is included in the room rate and season regulars stay here for the convenience .Some perks; a very nice breakfast room is included plus a pool. Some of the rooms in the building across the street include a balcony or patio.
