We were pleasantly surprised & very much pleased with our accommodations. From friendly & prompt reception to squeaky clean & spacious rooms, to an excellent breakfast - this hotel is a perfect spot for business & tourists!

Staff was helpful every time we had our tourist questions about the hotel, DC, buses, restaurants, etc.
Windows for our 4th floor view of Wash Mon were dirty glass & screens.

Great hotel but pricey parking

A great location, for many visits 'excellent', but because of issues beyond their control our review is now 'good'. For 4night stay, room serviced once; we had to go down to the desk to ask for coffee, sugar, etc. for the next morning, three times. We arrived on Thursday, room serviced Saturday, we checked out Monday when the room was about to be cleaned.. Was this lack of help or new policy.

The location was good. This was the four time that we stayed in this hotel. They forgot to clean the room one day. No more laundry bag or water in the room. Didn’t think I had too much of privilege as a hotel .com silver member.

The stay was excellent. The agents were a pleasure to work with. The room was clean and in the optimal location to sight see in DC. I would recommend without hesitation.

The mattress was wonderful! I slept like a baby. The desk staff enabled us to check in early.

The device for making keys was broken, so hotel staff had to accompany guests to rooms to let them in -- which was no problem. However, the man who said he'd meet me in the parking garage and help me with my luggage and let me in my room did not meet me, so once I got to my room, I had to hunt down some staff on the same floor as me to let me in.
This frustration was coupled with the fact that I told the man checking me in that I had stayed at the Glover Park multiple times, having just been there a few weeks prior (and probably have stayed at least a half dozen or more times within the last few months, alone. I have to come to DC frequently for work, and usually the GP is where I choose to stay). I shared that with him because I was in a hurry to get to a meeting, and told him I appreciated the info he was sharing, but thankfully, I "knew the drill" since I stayed there all the time and that I was in a bit of a rush to get to a meeting. He continued to go through his spiel, though, telling me about the parking garage code, wifi, etc.; it was like I was talking to a robot. It was very frustrating.
Additionally, the thermostat in my room wasn't working properly; it would only heat the space. I wanted AC as it was unusually warm for February. And final note, as I came down to the lobby one time, I overheard staff at the front desk talking disparagingly about another guest. I understand we all need to vent at work sometimes, but it was very off-putting and unprofessional.

We had to call for housekeeping. Told not on list. Never had that problem before. Def gave us vibe we weren’t welcome after so many stays gonna rethink that. Hoped to return in July - glad our guests stayed at watergate

The people in the room next to us were loud all night but I know that’s not the hotel’s fault. We were not used key cards as the key maker was broken so security had to let us in our room. We also had to pay ALOT extra for parking at the hotel which was not a good thing.

I checked in Saturday, February 17th. My room was not available until 6:10pm! Not acceptable. It really put me in a bind for my evening event.

A giant stain on the couch. The keys didn’t work on the elevator or room. Finally was moved to another room but had to wait for a clerk to open the door for us.

I didn't like the attention very much since I took my pet and I couldn't have it at the reception but outside and it was very cold or having it in the room, the parking very uncomfortable, a lot of noise and everything is heard in the room, it also said breakfast available and they told us that we did not have breakfast that is only for people who stay directly by the hotel and not by Expedia.

Receptionist seemed to not want to accept my reservation number as enough proof of my reservation. Seemed to want to deny me entry.

It’s $50/night for parking on a main road with no free parking nearby. Bathroom is very small and you can hear everything in the hallway and other rooms

Nice and quiet hotel. The fitness section is good. Parking is a bit pricey but easy and secure, also great if you have an electric car. Please provide bottles of water. Tap water is not very good and the only option is to purchase small bottles at the lobby.

The property was worn. A dog barking disturbed my rest two nights. People at bar and reception extremely polite.

They did not have keys available to the rooms as there key card machine was broken , so each time you want to go to and from your room you have to be escorted by an employee to get in your room and they didn't have enough people working to do this. You think they would offer something complimentary because of this inconvenience but they did not.

No key to room offered. Staff say machine is not working. I can’t get in and out of the room
