The staff was friendly and helpful. I rate them highly, and they were great.
The hotel was clean, but that’s probably its best point.
The hotel itself was dated and needed upgrades. The walls are paper thin and we heard everything from alarm clocks, conversations and even a guest vomitting an entire night. The beds are worn and uncomfortable. There was cold air blowing in under the air unit and we couldn’t get the thermostat to adjust.
Overall we wouldn’t stay here again-it was disappointing to pay that much and be so uncomfortable.

My initial night stay was fine. It was clean and had everything I needed, it was the following day where I discovered some unacceptable issues. It started with wanting to put my suit in the small "closet" with a foldable mirror door. The door opened fine but then would not close properly.
This was followed by taking a shower and then discovering that the provided blow dryer did not work at all. (I tried multiple outlets)
I then tried to call guest services several times to ask for a replacement blow dryer and kept receiving the busy signal.
None of these are that bad in and of themselves but everything happening within an hour or two of itself was irritating.
If you just need a place to sleep it'll do fine. If you expect to be taken care, that's another question.

The mattress in our room was old, uncomfortable, and should be replaced due to age.
The sofa in our suite is worn out. The cushions were pushed down into the frame and we could not sit in the sofa.

We stayed here bc of the location and also bc I love doubletree hotels. This one didn’t live up to the doubletree standard for me. It needs some serious updating on the inside. The walls are paper thin.
The biggest issue I had was upon check in I was basically treated like I was doing a self checkout at Walmart. There was zero customer service. The woman checking out before me was given lots of smiles and her cookies. I knew about the cookies bc I’ve stayed at several doubletree hotels. However I actually ended up having to go back and ask for them. I’m guessing - just a guess- that I was being judged based on my appearance - so I was given no respect. I would suggest better customer service training options being offered to your staff in the future. However, I definitely would not stay here again.
The room was extremely small, bed was extremely hard, definitely not pillow top. Bathroom was tiny. The pool was freezing and the hot tub was apparently out of order. My room keys would only work I. The pool door and my digital key would only work on my room door . Overall just not the experience I was looking for especially not for New Year’s Eve night.

Overall the property was very nice. Warm cookies at the front desk was a nice touch. The bed in our suite was comfortable and staff were friendly. The water pressure was excellent and the hot water reached acceptable temperatures quickly (both sink and tub). The lotion in the bathroom was awesome (smell and coverage). Parking is first come first served but we didn’t have any problems finding a spot.
Areas that need improvement: The hot tub was out of order which was a bummer after walking all day in 30 degree weather. The towels in our room were like sandpaper. I highly recommend they be replaced. Although told at the front desk there were two water bottles in our room, we in fact had to ask for some for they were missing. It is a dog friendly hotel but hearing a dog barking incessantly on the walk to the hot tub is ridiculous. Good thing our room was two floors up!!
We didn’t eat on the property so I cannot comment on that.

The breakfast was terrible and overpriced - food was cold and un-edible. Wait staff was very good and gave us a credit. Went to Starbucks to get something to eat.
The staff, room and location was great.

If you are visiting Biltmore - This is the place to stay.
Near everything you want to do. The front desk staff is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Would
book this hotel anytime in the Asheville area.

I have nothing negative to say about the staff, every person I met was kind and professional, from check-in to check-out. The property on the other hand is far away from the Marriot standards, the Lobby area is very nice, clean and modern but as soon as you reach the elevator or stairs you can start noticing the change. Only one working elevator in service which means long waits at certain times of the day, if you decide to take the stairs you better hold your breath because the stench of urine will hit you like a train!
My room in particular was well kept, minor things like a noisy refrigerator and some cosmetic details. Beds were comfortable but some of the pillows had a weird smell, couldn’t tell you what it was but they need to be changed.
Will I stay here again? Probably, the proximity to Disney world cannot be ignored and the fact that great staff makes up for the look of this rundown property.

Property location and staff were great. Rooms and furniture need to be updated. We had 6 people and utilized the pullout couch. The couch needs to be replaced. The couch was very uncomfortable for sitting and sleeping.

Front desk staff was excellent with their service - the rooms are very outdated and the two rooms I had reserved for business had cleanliness issues ex. crumbs all over floor even after serviced, broken hair dryer, dirty curtains, loud PTAC). Not things that would warrant a room change, but just not impressed for the age/conditions and price. Great location

Generally quite good, but we found the attitude at Double Tree to be similar to that of the Biltmore Estate, e.g., charge the customer a premium price for every item purchased.

Beautiful lobby, very clean room and convenient to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. Would definitely recommend.

Fake coffee in the rooms! Only real coffee is during breakfast.
Leave coffee out at all times! What’s wrong with you guys!

The property is close to the entrance to Biltmore, which is very convenient. The staff was nice and helpful. The property needs some TLC inside and out for the nightly rate we paid. The rooms need updating and the outside needs some fixing up. The room was clean and comfortable just dated. Otherwise, our stay was nice.

We only stayed one night, but the Doubletree was clean, comfortable, and had a nice staff.

Great staff and cookies! Especially grateful for allergy free considerations. Comfortable beds and pillows with real blankets! Full service restaurant on site. Wonderful location for Biltmore and Biltmore Village. Great value for the money.

The property was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Close to Biltmore Village and shopping and dining. Very enjoyable stay. The only complaint I have is that I am a Hilton honors member and because I booked through Expedia I don’t get any points for my stay.

I had to have surgery at Mission and this was an awesome base camp for my husband.

The hotel itself is very dated and could use a refresh. The staff was kind, the location was safe and central, and it was pretty clean.

The property itself is very nice. A decent indoor pool, lobby was very nice, and the breakfast was good.
The room though was very much under par. I'm not happy that Expedia marked this hotel as 4 star. It is your classic 2-3 star hotel. My big issue is the value for money. If you charge me what you charged, I expect a lot more.
Summary, a good hotel for $130-$150 a night. Not a good hotel for anything higher.
