Lovely large room with comfy beds and good en-suite facilities. A little dated but clean. Supplies for room were varied with towels missing some days and a long wait to get coffee and cups to room whichhad been overlooked. Location perfect for trains into New York. Breakfast was excellent.

The location is convenient to Newark Penn Station. The staff are friendly.

The Staff at this location is very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, there were many difficulties with the room, the door closer was broken and made it almost impossible to get in and out of the room, which was a fire hazard, and they did not fix it during my stay. Some of the amenities provided normally buy hotels like toilet paper was not there, and I had to request it after I got into my room. Beware that there is a $56 parking fee if you park in the garage that I was not made aware of when I rented the room

We had a 22 hour layover in Newark and decided to take our kids into Manhattan for the day. The hotel emailed instructions in advance so we knew exactly how to find the shuttle from the airport to the hotel.
Helpful staff. Baggage storage was simple at the concierge so we could take the train into NYC. Penn Station was right outside the front door.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, and honestly the quietest hotel bed I’ve ever slept on.

Dirty rooms , unprofessional staff. Won’t stay here again!

We came into town with 2 other couples to see hockey games. It was the perfect location to get to Penn Station and to the Prudential Arena. We ate breakfast at the cafe and it was good. Check in and check out was easy. The room was very large and comfortable.

Solid choice for an overnight stay for an event but not much more. Staff was very nice. The pillows were uncomfortable, air in the room was very dry, and there were stains on the carpet. The worst part was the bathroom. We didn’t get fresh toilet paper and the toilet wasn’t flushing properly. The shower also had terrible pressure.

it was a reasonable price and obviously very central transportation-wise. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly.

The Airport shuttle service was great, and we were happy with the hotel overall. We just felt that the lack of daily housekeeping should’ve been explained at check in.

The hotel is connected to Newark Penn Station by an indoor walkway but the walkway is closed on weekends. And closed after 8pm on weekdays. Sirens and honking all night.

ran out of Toilet Paper... had to ask for it.. old dispenser was emptied but none replaced... same w/ soap... overpass closed except for one time to trains even in daytime... by 10pm gates for taxi etc at station side locked as well. had to walk around station and deal with DANGEROUS area!!! Why have an overpass if not open for us!!!

This hotel is across from the the train station which make it hard to get some rest all night long all you hear is horn blowing

The person was unable to check in due to the rest being made under a different name and. None even called to try and check. Not pleased. Total waste of money

First time staying here, overall, a decent experience. Parking is a little weird (LAZ Garage next door that is very small but front desk staff upfront told me they validate, and I had no issues). Bridge that's part of the Gateway complex is only open M-F and not on Saturday, so I did have to go outside to get to Penn Station on the weekend but that's not within the hotel's control (just something to be aware of).

Comfortable bed, and nice sized room. Found some trash from the guest before me - so not sure how clean it was. Seemed ok.

The front desk staff was super friendly and accomodating. We felt very safe going to and from Newark Penn Station from the hotel. Security was visible at each entrance/exit from the hotel. It was very convenient for traveling to and from New York City. The beds were so comfy, too!! I normally don't sleep well in hotel beds, but I had no problems sleeping here. My only negative is that you had to request for housekeeping to service your room, and we didn't know about that until after our 3rd day at the hotel. And even when they serviced the room they didn't restock the coffee or coffee cups.

It was good and they have free airport shuttle to Newark International Airport which I liked.

Ideal to get to city. Loud people in hallways but it was the weekend. Overall not a bad stay. Restaurants in Gateway area should be open on the weekends would have given a chance to try to some different food.

I was given a room right next to the elevator and the. Elevator are so old they make crazy noises. Did not sleep all night and they didn’t want to give me another room unless I paid extra. They finally gave me another room at 4am. I was also charged double the room and the desk manager promised to take care of it and send me the invoice via email. Still haven’t heard back from them. I was ripped off and had the worst experience ever.

Convenient hotel with noce pathway to Penn Station. Extremely comfortable beds! Even with the train station right next door you can barely hear it at night. Clean and roomy.

Hotel was clean but I was not able to shower before my travel day which was extremely disappointing. Shower would not work. At all. Tried numerous times to get water flow. This is not a good start to the day. I did not have time to call engineering to fix as I had limited time due to traveling. In addition please know if you are looking for the safety/convenience of the attached pedestrian tunnel to Penn Station, that is advertised on site, it is not open on weekends.
