First, this company should state, this hotel literally is next to a freeway entrance. Loud as all get up. Second, the fire alarm was running for over 30 minutes, before someone decided to turn it off. I called Hotels.com to complain and all I got was the run around. Never again!!

I have been to Bakerfield before, it was dusty, windy and rainy. My first time at Double Tree Hilton. The price was good, I got to check in early. The check in process was quick but it was a line (4 people ahead of me) when I got there. The hotel is nice, big, and four floors. My room was around back, I was on the pool side also which was okay. I was thankful because I got early check in. The entire stay was okay, room was okay and clean. The bed was not comfortable to me, seemed worn out and squeaky. Then around 2am someone was fighting for at least an hour; it was loud and alarming. But after while it stopped, I also think local stay in hotels and party, I heard from an employee ay another hotel. I did get cookies. I'll probably go back and stay on fourth floor ..

When I checked in after a long drive, after standing in line for a long period I was given a room. My wife and I grabbed our luggage and went to our room. When we entered, the room was still occupied! I suitcase, backpack, other personal items as well as the bed unmade and tv on! Breach of security which is unacceptable! We had to go all the way back, inform the front desk of the situation! We were issued another room completely on the other side of the hotel which was very exhausting. I was not offered any type of compensation for our troubles so I will no longer stay at the Doubletree! My family lives in Bakersfield so I visit often so I will use another hotel. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Thank you, Arthur Reynoso.

Quite a bit of frustration staying here. When checking in, I was asked if I wanted the ground floor or the second floor. I asked: Do you have elevators? The answer was no, so I requested ground floor. It turned out the ground floor is actually below ground level so we still had to wrestle heavy luggage down a flight of stairs. Once we were in the room, the tv did not work properly… only apps on the smart tv worked, no live tv or local news. The wifi signal was so weak it did no good. My husband spent two hours with online help with absolutely no resolution. Frustrating. Also the hotel is right next to Hwy 99, very noisy.

The hotel was great and all the folks working there. Only trouble was with the tv…they couldn’t get it to connect to internet so you couldn’t see what shows were on. Not a big deal.

Maybe you should have coffee all day for people, however you have to buy it, it's not like the other hotels that keep you fresh and hot coffee 24 hours a day.

Stayed 3 days and no cleaning service. I called twice for fresh towels received no towels! Reservation was for poolside view king but they said one was not available… so we ended up with a room facing the freeway and the room noise was terrible.

I would give the property a five but I wanted room service and could not do this because the phone was not programmed. My husband was told we could call the front desk but we could not do that as well. Recently diagnosed with cancer, I wanted this to be very nice stay for my husband. Also could not check out via tv. The room itself was very nice except there was chewing gum at the end of one of the end table. The price of $179 is too much to pay for a room when your needs are not fully met!

The property is amazing. Updated,clean, relaxing. We especially enjoyed watching a game in the restaurant. Nic was our server and he just made the whole night enjoyable. We look forward to returning.

Normal spot to stay at on our way on long trips. Missed the cookie this trip (they are delicious). Other than the tv not working (during a playoff game) and taking a while to attempt to fix it before moving our room.. it was the normal stay. We will return again and hopefully next time we are given a cookie ☺️

Halfway through my stay, the water in my room went out. I had to call the front desk to find out what was going on and they said someone had contacted me regarding the issue but I had not received a call, text or email about the situation. I was moved to another room that was much louder from the nearby freeway and the toilet tank kept making a low pop noise and refilling constantly. My key stopped working to both the side door and my room which was very inconvenient when trying to get back into my room with food and travel gear. Not what I’d expect from a more premium hotel line.

Hotel desk had eyebrow pencil shavings along with some eye lashes on it. Long black hairs on the bathroom floor. Did not appear to be well cleaned.

Very nice clean lobby. Check in easy and was able to get room early. Room was nice and large. Hot tub was hot with non working jets. Pool was large but not heated. Only 1 person at check in to purchase some drinks, waited over 15 mins. Overall a nice place.

This is not my first time staying at this hotel i really i like the hotel . But a has bad experience .the front desk charge me 100 for deposit and i tell the front desk i always when i come to the hotel i pay $50 deposit. Why the parsons in front me she was check in he charge her $50 deposit 🤔.

When I checked in, i told her i need a quiet room. My room was next to the highway. The windows were too thin and old. So my family couldn’t have sleep well. And the elevator was stinky smell and dirty. But breakfast was a great deal.

The first night we checked in we found a big cockroach crawling on our desk. I called the front desk right away and also contacted hotels.com about it. I tried to look for another hotel but we were so tired from driving all day from LA that we didn't have the energy to leave. On top of that, our refrigerator was on and off and didn't keep our food/drinks cold the entire time. The next day we also were gone majority of the day and kept a lot of our clothes and stuff with us because I was scared there was going to be more cockroaches. I called again the day of check out since we left really early to let them know. Front desk said they'd talk to their manager to give me a call back but I still have yet to receive one.

Pictures stated on hotels.com and accommodations didn’t match actual hotel. Booked room with a separate living area on hotels.com but only received a single one room no separate living area. Double stated that hotels.com website is out of date. On two occasions, hotel staff walked into our rooms without even knocking. Once when my wife was in the shower and once early in the morning. Would not recommend booking on this website or staying at this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it is usually great, no issues. I booked a suite and on arrival they did not have one available. They gave me a standard pool view king room. The shower does not drain. The toilet seat was broken and loose. I prepaid for breakfast and they did not have power and there were only two options available. I tried to get a refund for the breakfast and they are reviewing my request with management. The breakfast was good last time and I was looking forward to having it again.
