Overall our stay was good. Hotel was clean and updated. The lobby is beautiful and those warm cookies at check in are a real treat. Our suite was great. The wifi is terrible though so if thats important to you, you may want to book elsewhere. Service was not good either. We had to ask 3 times for more towels at our room. Our suite was for 6 and they only provided 4 towels. There were never towels at the pool either which was inconvenient and cold after a swim. It may be that they are short staffed but for the price, those things need to be taken care of. Its one of few hotels in kamloops that do not have a complimentary breakfast which is too bad. We loved being close to Riverside Park. The beds were fine, pull out couch was uncomfortable but they usually are. We would stay here again if we couldnt get into our top choices which is what happened this busy long weekend. It definitely wouldnt be a top choice though.

This is a terrible double tree. It smells and staff is rude. They kept up charging us for things that should be included

I generally find Doubletrees to be good hotels, and this one in Kamloops is no exception. Our room was a good size, quiet, and very clean. It had modern, updated decor and a mini-fridge. I found the bed (a queen) very comfortable, with a good mattress. The bathroom was all-in-one -- sink and counter inside, not outside in the room.
The hotel is downtown, in a good location for walking around. It's a pretty short cab ride to the airport (under 20 minutes).
Also, the front desk staff were pleasant, professional, and very helpful. We had a problem after checking out -- the cab we pre-booked to come at 4:15 a.m. to take us to the airport did not show up. The company would not send another. The overnight desk agent was right on it. He recommended and phoned another company, which came on a rush basis. He really helped us out.
In short, a very nice hotel and great service. I would happily stay there again.

The location is fine, easy access to anything downtown but like so many of our communities across this country the homeless hanging around even in the parking lot asking for handouts is annoying.
We stayed in room 501 and there is an annoying drip or expansion/contraction of piping that just doesn't go away. Lasted all night.
Breakfast in the restaurant was okay.

Hotel was in a good location close to downtown. Only complaint was the shower head barley had any water coming out of it.

Pros: very clean and well-maintained if a little worn, close to the center of town, restaurant on site. Cons: very basic amenities, such as no microwave and rather slow wifi, slightly cramped room. Staff seemed eager to be helpful. Totally adequate for quick stay and good for the price.

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were friendly and informative. Our stay was 5 days.
The entire hotel was very clean.
When I requested a room where we could get the most rest (my husband wasn’t feeling well),
that’s exactly what we received. I would recommend asking for a room on the 5th floor.
We’ll return here every time we come to Kamloops.

I could hear every elevator open, every person taking in the hallways. I could hear the people above and next to me. Room 215 was the worst!

This is by far one of my favorite places to stay when going though Kamloops.

Excellent host upon check in helped me register for Hilton rewards, the rooms are a tad small then normal rooms in the area but the soundproofing is one of the better ones… parking is a tad of a headache when your driving a full size truck… overflow has a bit more room for trucks. The pool and hot tub outside were nice… nice sized tvs in the rooms… premium wifi does come at a cost so just used our mobile hotspot the entire time.

The lobby was very inviting and front desk peoe were excellent on check amd check out. The room was large, clean and well layed out. The pool area was dirty and difficult to find. The property did not have alot of parking.

215 is not a good room. Could hear the main lobby door open and close all the time. A/C fan was noisy and intermittent. Bed was great but the peripheral noises kept waking us up.

Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Didn't realize they don't clean the rooms daily to replenish the towels. We were there for 3 days and had to ask for more towels as they only leave 3 per room. Guess I would like to see more proactive common sense - 2 people staying for 3 nights but only 3 large bath towels - at minimum 4 would be smarter.

Check in was quick and efficient. Indian restaurant downstairs needs to be avoided completely. The food is really bad. Hotel also had a smell of food throughout the day due to the indian restaurant downstairs.

only one problem, not major but inconvenient.
My cell phone ran low on charge so I wanted to charge it but I only brought with me my USB connection cord without my plug-in charger. In a lot of hotels now you are starting to see desk lamps and or the phone with with USB slots for charging, not a big deal, just a thought.

Restaurant was ethnic - not all guests like East Indian food. Pool was closed. Beds are comfortable and hotel was clean.

Renovation choices beautiful!
Staff & workers went the extra mile to make us comfortable.
Limited parking because of construction ( completed in 2 weeks)
Restaurant was awful , slow, chipped dishes , poor service , 38 min for bad Eggs Benny.
Very disappointed considering the beautiful hotel setting. Will return to hotel but restaurant , lots of great eateries in Kamloops.

We were disappointed upon arrival to see the hotel was under renovation and none of the amenities were available to guests. Had we known this we would have booked another hotel in Kamloops.

Hotel was under construction but it was still kept very clean and quiet. There was no construction noise during the sleeping hours

The hotel was a disaster area is it was completely under Reno’s. It should have been closed while major updates were being done
Construction started early in the am there was no carpeting in the hallways it was loud and ideally I would like to get some sort of reduced rate

When booking this stay, I was never told that it was under renovation. The property should have closed down during renovation. Very noisy, messy, no carpets in hall ways, etc. I would not have booked this if I'd know it was being renovated! My room was fine, with comfy bed, but no pictures on the walls.

Quick check-in and check out. Room was very nice and clean. Undergoing renovations so the restaurant was closed for breakfast, but overall an excellent experience. Good customer service and they didn't forget the Doubletree cookie upon check-in. :)

I wasntvaware at time of booking that the entire hotel is under complete renovation and so does not have alot of amenities running or upkept
Like breakfast and the little store for snacks, no carpet in the hallway which isnt a big thing except there was hundreds of exacto knife blades all over the floor :/ but very nice and clean hotel, would stay again when renos are done

Great location, it’s reasonably clean and comfortable but the walls are thin and everything is closed because of construction.
I get closing certain areas but they have taken all the art off of the walls etc so it’s always evident that it’s under construction plus they had doors open in the lobby and it was -20.

Restaurant only open a little. Construction closed some things. Too many young men who appeared to be employees standing around socializing, when everything was closed due to renovating.

Wifi on two separate visits was useless. Bathroom walls around the toilet were very dirty, tiny bathroom. They are now renovating so hopefully these things might improve. Staff were pleasant enough.

It was good. Unfortunately some other folks staying a few doors down thought their room was a place to roll and smoke pot. The 2nd floor and our room was toxic. Thankfully the staff dealt with the problem. Left the window open and all was good. We got extra cookies!!
