We didnt arrive until 10:30pm but person on duty was very friendly and recommended restaurant that was still open

This is in a small community that is struggling economically. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Felt as a two star property, it was average. Rooms clean and comfortable. Quiet. Breakfast was lacking in choices.

Room was clean but you can tell it was a well worn motel.

I booked two rooms. One smelled like perfume had been poured on the carpet or some strong smelling something had been used to disguise smells (room 107) the safety latch on my door - room 103, had been broken off. A metal piece was attached to the wall above the bet in 103 that maybe held a decoration at one time???

The room was very clean, had a musty smell and the people in the rooms upstairs were having a party or something till really late so i didnt get much sleep at all

Bathroom light was out. No plug in bathroom sink to shave. Very old building that had a few upgrades. Nowhere near being worth the money or what it is rated. Beautiful area nonetheless. Bed was terribly uncomfortable.

Room is outdated but overall property is decent.

Just stayed for a quick over-night after a day of white-water rafting. It is an older hotel and shows some age. Breakfast is very basic. But with that being said, beds were clean and comfortable. The minimal service I needed was pleasant and effective. The location is very convenient if you are in the area for running white-water on the Nantahala river. Price at the time I feel was high for the hotel. But it was convenient and there aren't a ton of options in the area.

The property is in need of updating, the rooms smell stale, I will not stay there again and would not recommend it.

Great pool - outdoor area is also pretty with a gazebo to eat under and a picnic table. Breakfast is just OK but the rooms are clean and nice. It may be only eight or 9 miles as the crow flies from Robbinsville but it’s a pretty long drive along twisty roads. they are beautiful, but it takes a while to get here.

I liked the location of the property (it was easy to find) and the friendliness of the staff. Check in was quick and easy. My complaints involve the condition of our room and the lack of adequate supplies for breakfast when we went in at 8:00 a.m. Our room smelled of mildew or mold from the time we entered until we left. We put the a/c fan on high thinking that would alleviate the problem, but it did not. There was some mold around the base of the tub and there were dirty areas on the inside of the entry door and on the walls in several places. The base of the tub did not look clean. I usually take a bath, but opted for a shower instead, as I did not want to have contact with the bottom of the tub. For breakfast there was no waffle batter left, no orange juice, no protein foods, no spoons when we arrived at 8:00 a.m. I went to the front desk and asked about getting some replenishments, and the desk person did come in to replace spoons. She also arranged for a staff member to go out and purchase frozen pancakes as there apparently was no more waffle batter. That was good customer service on her part, but I think better customer service would have been to have sufficient supplies ahead of time so the people wanting breakfast would not have had to wait for so long to get the promised breakfast supplies.

Ok! This hotel is absolutely awesome. The room was very clean and neat. The hotel Manager and staff were very kind and friendly! I stayed 2 nights and it was awesome! I will be going back!

Although I chose a smoking room, the man on the front desk allowed me to switch to a non-smoking room.

Nice area, clean, quiet, no a very good breakfast

Check-in was great and so was the staff The room was kind of old and ragged. One of the hand towels hanging for used look like it had been used to soak up urine and the bathroom smells as if someone had Peed all in the floor and left it

First room smelled like urine, mold in bathroom. Requested another room. Second room smelled a bit better. Mold, mildew in bathroom. Toilet handle fell off. Half-full shampoo bottle in bathroom. Security lock of front door has been torn off. One of the most miserable motel experiences EVER!! Fairly high rating on Travelocity. Don’t believe it.

Our check in was great. The room was a little dated but very clean. The premises was well lit and safe. We loved the rocking chairs out front and the swing near the river. We were really disappointed about breakfast. No Juice. No paper plates. We got the last two bowls. No fruit. Only coffee, milk, a couple of biscuits,cereal,no bagels,no yogurt. There was waffle mix but no plate! We got there at 8:40 and breakfast was supposed to end at 9am. I have stayed at this location 5 times but no more. Murphy will get my business next time. Sorry

Exemplary staff--thoughtful and cheerful

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was professional and friendly.

The hotel was far below the standard it states. Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke and our AC was broken. When we asked for another room, they told us they didn’t have any and they would try to fix the AC but they never did. We went to the office to cancel our stay and they said they would refund us, but they never refunded our money. We called twice to speak to the manager and they hung up on us with a nasty attitude. We have now called corporate and are disputing the charge. I would not recommend this stay!

This was a nice clean property with a comfortable bed and nice pillows. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t extensive but the diner next door was delicious and reasonable.

The property is in wonderful condition, the grounds are well kept, the brook is beautiful especially with the large hill backgrounds!!
