The staff is amazing, Kevin in particular, the breakfast options aren’t vast but it’s a very nice and relaxed ambiance. Everything is very clean!

We loved the hotel, besides the location being excellent, the staff was very friendly and attentive, especially Kevin. The hotel was so cozy, we felt at home. The breakfast, despite not having much variety, is of excellent quality. Don't forget to try the croissant. We will definitely recommend it to other people.

The internet was not very strong and the breakfast had very few options. But the spaces were lovely.

It was everything I needed it to be. Quiet, clean, and a little getaway as I travel for business. Loved the inn keepers, they do an amazing job to make you feel at home.

It was a fantastic stay. The room is big and clean, the bed is comfy, and the bath tub even has spa function. The decoration of the hotel is elegant, and the host is super nice. Also the breakfast is so delicious. I would definitely come back again!

Love all the attention to details here. Wonderful owner, staff and delicious breakfast. Room was comfortable, exactly what I needed for a two night business trip.

This property has been renovated in a lovely way, but it felt as though they were not really ready to reopen. Our room had no toilet paper and no hair dryer until we asked for them . Breakfast was minimal and the host didn’t offer any information about tours, etc. I would not stay here again

We were given a room in a basement apartment. We had to enter through a locked gate via a bird poop covered “courtyard”. There were no refreshments in the evening as advertised and breakfast was some toast and her boiled eggs.
The manager was the best part of the stay

The room was smaller than “cozy”. Tv did not work. Breakfast was not what was advertised. Staff not easily available

This was such a special place. The history was very interesting. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our need to change rooms. Every morning breakfast was so nice. I can't say enough good things about the staff. It was southern hospitality in DC. We will return.

A beautiful building built in 1883 and a piece of history. It was a beautiful place to stay. A huge mansion. If you like that old vibe this is the place for you. We had a nice relaximg time. Our room had a terrace which was nice. The view from the terrace was not, but then again its in downtown DC. I booked the room called, The Shanghideaway, but was placed in The Jennifer Green room. Not the vibe I was looming for, but the terrace made up for it. During our exploration of the mansion, we found there is no such room. It was advertised falsly. Since we stayed during COVID, no staff were present, the kitchen was off limits and thats where the microwave was. Good thing it is next to many eateries. We paid for breakfast with our package and it was not worth it. In the small fridge in the room they placed, clementines (that were moldy), an orange, 2 orange juices, 6yogurts (out of date), and some kind of homemade bread that did not look right. We did not eat any of rhe breakfast there. Plus, there were two of us, any only 2 juices for two nights? We had to go out and buy breakfast anyway. Beeakfast should not be an option at this time as the buffet that is normally offered is not due to staff not being present. Over all we had a good stay as we were there for us and we got to spend a lot of time for us.

The Swann House is beautiful and i'm sure the actual home is an experience...I would make sure you are receiving a premium room for a premium price. we stayed in what looked to be the old servants quarters, recessed underneath the home. The bed was--rickety--room was clean but random and seemingly an afterthought. we booked last minute and the hotel was full so I believe this had something to do with it, but I would have stayed somewhere else for 400 dollars a night if I knew the only option was under the house.

Amazing ambiance, great location, and friendly staff. I felt awed by the place and all of the care to detail. The many extra touches were a bonus. Breakfast was great. Room was very comfortable (particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub).

Love the old feel of this mansion, yet the amenities are modern. The pool and my bathroom are the most unique. I love it here and will return if availability permits.

There is no better location in DC. Innkeepers are a delight. And it is a peaceful break from a hectic day in the Nation’s Capital. Just remember to arrange parking before hand. I was lucky there was a space available.

Overall this is a quaint and cozy property. We loved our room and the beds were very comfortable. One area that I would suggest needs improvement is the breakfast. We showed up during the breakfast time frame but only half the time did anyone come and ask us about a hot breakfast. There are also many, many stairs!!! This is not the place for you if don’t want to or can’t climb mulitiply sets of stairs every day.

Sweet guesthouse in a nice location, walking distance to Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, and Logan Circle/14th street neighborhoods. Lots of great drinks and dining options nearby. A highlight was how friendly everyone who worked there was, and the tasty breakfast. I think most if not all rooms require maneuvering stairs if that is a concern for you. I stayed in the Parisienne suite, which was large and comfortable if a bit dark given that it's kind of an English basement setup. I travel to DC for business semi-regularly and would definitely try and stay here again.

It was lovely & the staff tried to be helpful & kind. Also a lovely safe neighborhood & near everything. There are stairs so if you can't do stairs then this is not the place for you.
