The hotel had a nice design with a soaring 4 story atrium under a glass roof leading to the registration desk. It had a nice underground garage with a swift elevator. The room was spacious and clean. When I went to check out I put a box on the counter, it started to open up and the clerk pulled out some packing tape and sealed it for me. The downsides were minor-the refrigerator was noisy and we were on the street side of the building thus had some road noise. (but I am noise sensitive) The hot water for tea at the breakfast setting was in a carafe that had been used for coffee at some point and this slightly flavored the tea. The included breakfast was a bit sparse. But, overall this hotel is a great place for the price.

This hotel is the perfect location from WCSU westside campus. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly!

Did not like the false ads from Expedia about breakfast included. Other than that,everything else was great. Quiet and clean.

Verify friendly and efficient staff, perhaps because it wasn’t busy. Rooms are a little tired and could use some upgrading.

The internet is extremely weak. It’s impossible to stay on line. If you are trying to work, be prepared to be frustrated. Also, they say they have a continental breakfast. What they serve is insulting.

Their food service has been shut down since Covid. It would have been nice to know before we booked, as we had planned on dining and utilizing their room service. In the morning, they put out cellophane wrapped cold, untoasted bagels, with no toaster available. The staff was very courtesy and professional.

Property is outdated, bathroom in all rooms was noisy upon flushing. You could hear other residents talking in their room. Staff not friendly.

This was perfect for what we needed. A one night stay nearby many restaurants. It was clean, friendly service.

The staff really goes out of their way to help you out. There is no hesitation to come to your room to help you with any issue. Family run hotel that is really great for a stay. I would certainly recommend

Staff were very friendly and the place was clean. Could use a little updating but otherwise totally fine for a one night stay to visit my son at WestConn!

When we got there they told us that they were overbooked and complained to us about it, a lot. We stood there just waiting around for them to figure out things, finally got our room, but it wasn’t what we asked for…ended up with just one bed and my son had to curl up on a loveseat. Random stains everywhere, including the linen. I specifically chose this hotel because it offered laundry service (both on Travelocity and on their own website) but when I asked they said they didn’t do that anymore. Smelled like cigarette smoke in the room. Stains on the toilet, rings left on the furniture, mold in the tub. The fan in the bathroom was caked so badly with dust that it didn’t work right…. In a pinch it was ok, but I will not be staying there again. The parking garage is “at your own risk” and looks like it came straight out of a horror film.

I can not say enough about this hotel. It is probably the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in, in a long while. Every time we walked in the cleaning lady was vacuuming, cleaning the glass and even scrubbing the bell hop cart! Mary Elizabeth and Samantha at the front were kind and caring. They made sure we were enjoying our stay. The room was big and roomy. The hotel is dated probably late ‘90’s early 2000’s BUT (and this is big) not one pull in the carpet or stain, not one shred of ripped wallpaper or mold in the caulk in the bathroom, no chipped paint NOTHING! Pristine condition!! I inspected everything. Very, very impressed by the care of this property. The continental breakfast was just that. Coffee, tea, apples, oranges and wrapped bagels with cream cheese. No hot breakfast. But I personally don’t care about that. I’d rather have a clean, comfy room and bed! And yes the bed was COMFY! Microwave, frig and coffee maker in the room. Close to mall, WestConn, Stop n Shop next door, hibachi across the street.

Their ad on Expedia was totally misleading. There is no iron gate to big house on a hill. The restaurant and bar have been closed for years. The breakfast was stale, cold bagels, apples and oranges. Looks like they just kept putting out what ever was left over from the previous day. The carpets were filthy.

Hotel is tired. Needs modernization. “Breakfast” is a stretch. Some mediocre bagels in Saran Wrap (no toaster) and cream cheese packages. Coffee of average taste.

To call what you put out in the morning “breakfast” is a gross misrepresentation that is unbecoming your otherwise nice motel.

The wifi at the hotel did not work. There was no hot hot either when I showered in the morning . The bed was comfy but I would not stay here again. And the hotel looks very very old as well.

Older property but clean and quiet.

everything was good at my stay , although my last day i had to check out at 11 am. At 10:00 am i was lready being harrased to leave, i drove from north caroline and it was very uncomfortable to be treated this way on my first visit to CT. Very upset and was also thinking to stay one more night with my younger childre but the way they kept nocking on my door was very uncomfortable when i still had a few mins left. I do not recommend this place specially if you have children
