We booked Hilton as generally guaranteed what u get but, I lost an earring back and was on floor looking for it, found a old sock under the bed and part of the hair dryer across the room, after this I generally felt the room was unclean, the tea at breakfast brought to the table in a pot was not nice, the help yourself one was better. The pancake machine needed bags changing when I went to use it, so a few things a little disappointing

Nice hotel, however bed wasnt brilliantly comfy, the shower sounded like a dentist drill when on, tv signal was poor, bathroom wasnt built for ease of movement

Our first stay Inn a Double Tree hotel we received a warm welcome a freshly baked cookie and received news that our room had been upgraded. The room was very comfortable giving us a great nights sleep. There was so much choice for breakfast can’t wait to stay again

Very friendly helpful staff. Room upgrade for birthday very welcome. Good location. Luke warm water if left tap and shower running for 10 mins otherwise stone cold. Strange that light beside was switched on other side of bed! Sons room had broken kettle TV didn’t work and was noisy. Helpful staff moved him for second night.

We thought being a Hilton the standard would be good but sadly not. We booked a family room and it wasn’t great especially for the price of £300 a night. The pull out bed was in such bad condition it was like sleeping on concrete and you could feel every bar and spring. The aircon unit was faulty and sounds like someone was snoring the whole time plus the light on the dial on the wall was flashing all night lighting up the room. The windows were not safe as they opened up full and a child could fall out of them. Room was very dated and felt run down, curtains were all different lengths and the fridge didn’t work. Also the shower went from burning hot to freezing cold and it was dribbling out so took forever to have a shower whilst trying not to burn your skin. We didn’t sleep at all so I’d suggest paying a bit more and having a good night sleep so your next day isn’t ruined. The location was good for us but that was about all I can say was good.

Excellent location, centrally located. Staff is extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay! Looking forward to coming back really soon.

First room we were sent to smelled bad and toilet didn’t flush (110)
2nd room (209) was right by external noisy unit- air conditioning or something.
Breakfast was adequate to mediocre.
Shower was hot.
People in next room were having a physical and very loud fight but hotel staff attended quickly.
Overall very underwhelming and comes off a bit of a rough place.

Excellent location only a few minutes from Holborn tube and a 10 minute walk from Covent Garden. Service was welcoming and friendly although it was disappointing that the front desk was poorly manned, at check in and on collecting our luggage on the day of departure we waited around as there were no staff in the lobby. Free fresh cookies when checking in were a lovely touch and were delicious.
We stayed in a premium suite which consisted of two levels, double sofa bed was made up on the top level for our 5 year old and a king on the lower floor with bathroom. Small room with little walk space, but well appointed with everything we needed for the weekend. Downside to the room was the musty smell, there were also access hatches on the walls and ceiling, that had been hacked around and the finish was unsightly.
Breakfast was great in the usual buffet style, fresh and hot English breakfast options. Good selection of fresh fruit, pastries and cereal. My daughter particularly liked the hot pancake machinę. Staff at breakfast were fantastic, very attentive and really looked after our family.
All in all, a good hotel for a short weekend away we would stay again.

I am a frequent traveller, staying in many hotels for business and pleasure and this was by far the worst hotel I have stopped in. The hotel is in a desperate need of refurbishment. BTW this is the first review I have posted as I am normally very content with my choice of hotels around the world.

Good room and shower, if dated. Noisy outside until very late. Reception said there was no USB socket in the room and sent me to a next door shop who sold one for a high price: the kicker is there were TWO USB sockets in the room.

When I arrived at the hotel I was told that I'd been given an up-grade, including breakfast. I did not want breakfast. My disappointment concerned the room. The room was not as good as on previous occasions, especially the shower facility. As I am 6ft 3 in & 66 yrs old clambering in and out of a bath with a shower attachment felt an unsafe thing to be doing. Also as it was November I was surprised about the limited amount of bedding on the bed. Luckily I had a heavy coat with me that I could use to keep me warm. I was looking forward to a nice room etc as I'd booked weeks before. I have also stayed in the DoubleTree in Melbourne, Australia for almost nine weeks in 2017-19 which was a very pleasant experience, and I do not want to stay with you again. Next time I think I'll try the Bedford. Thank you. Kind regards, H.James

I had a fabulous overnight stay here. The hotel has an air of being recently refurbished in a calm, contemporary style. My reception was warm and friendly and my room was impeccably clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would highly recommend.

excellent hotel enjoyed our stay, my only gripe would be that there was no where in the room to hang our wet clothes after a day/night out in the rain as there were no radiators in the room/bathroom at all.

3pm check-in is too late, even if you’ll hold bags until that time.
I came back to the room one day at 4:15p and the hotel staff was cleaning the room. I appreciate the thorough thoughtfulness, but that’s “my time”.
The bar area and gym were nice and comfortable.
The room itself is ready for a visual makeover…paint, etc.
Overall 4/5 Stars

The hotel was very well-situated in the city for our needs and it was a clean, well-run establishment. The only challenge we had was that, for some reason, we were booked into a handicap room, which was very awkward for us, given the height of the sink and the toilet, and the fact that there was no an actual shower stall in the bathroom, but simply a shower area designed for people with mobility issues. Given that there was no basin or divider for the shower, the room nearly flooded every time we used the facility. By the time we asked the front desk about this, they offered to switch our rooms, but that seemed like more trouble than it was worth. I wish I had brought it to their attention upon check-in.

The location is the main reason, and the staff very helpful. In my view the property quite old and the room layout is weird with TV on the side wall of the bed. To drain the water on the sink needs a little “MacGyver” effort, for short stay should be fine.

Not the same room i booked from photos no bin in the room the wondows oped a tiny bit stain on the bath over-all wpuld not stay here again

The bed was so uncomfortable I had to get up and move around every couple of hours.
The air conditioner turned off in the night and the room was stifling hot.

Upgraded to a duperoor deluxe room but wouldnt really thonk it was? Room a bit tired looking

I dont think the pictures on the website reflect the room sizes. There were 3 adults cramped up in a family room.
The bathroom had hairs in the bath and on the back of the bathroom door and the sink was unclean. I had to clean this before use.
There is nowhere to stop in front of the hotel to load or unload bags.
We did enjoy the fireplace, breakfast and cocktails.

Was meant to have a shower mat to put inside the shower, sign telling you not to forget as it could be dangerous - there was not one available!!! It was like a skate rink
disappointed with options of milk as I am lactose intolerant I could not have a tea/coffee also we were given two cookies when we checked in, again I am wheat intolerant and so could not have that either, you would think nowadays it would be more inclusive

Upon arrival we were given a room that was cheaper than what we paid for. They did correct it when we commented on it, but it wasted nearly an hour of our day. They did apologise but I wonder if this was done on purpose? Hotel was fine apart from that but calling it West End was misleadung as it is 20 minute walk to West End

This was a break for my teenage daughter and myself. On arrival the hotel looked beautiful and the reception staff were very attentive and friendly. Because we were very early we couldn't get into.our room but they took our luggage & kept it safe so that we could go shop! When we got back in the late afternoon we were given our key and headed to our room. The room was lovely, exceptionally clean but the view was a disappointment. It was the roof of a concervatory & buildings with windows towering over us (very small space). I couldn't help feel we were put in the least popular room & I assume this was because we'd paid using vouchers. We decided to close the blinds not only so we couldnt see it but also so we couldnt be seen. The blinds didnt close though. We tried the cutains but they wouldnt pull all the way either. I spoke to reception who sent a friendly maintenance man but nothing could be done so they moved us. Uprgraded us. This room was nice too although quite tight. Very modern, very comfortable bed and duvet. Thick dark curtains that close the whole way & let no light in whatsoever. Aircon that worked brilliantly. Stunning bathroom with a fabulous shower. Mini fridge, safe and all the usual stuff you'd expect. We had breakfast too which was plentiful. Everything you need & again, staff were very attentive and friendly. We were off shopping again & so were able to leave our cases once again and collect them in the afternoon. A real help. Would definitely stay again.

Our room was good for a family room as the single bed was quite separate to the queen size bed which allowed the feeling of a little more privacy. This did mean we lost a feeling of space. Room was lovely and clean and had tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. A small fridge was also available. We just had a slight leak under the over the bath shower door but it didn't affect the use, we mentioned this on leaving.
Breakfast was great and offered a full selection of English & continental dishes. Also fresh pancakes and omelettes could be prepared to order. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I love the fresh cookie on arrival.
We were also able to leave our bags for collection later.

The room was tiny, dull and dreary. So small the bed was pushed into the corner so no access on one side. Room too small for two. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and rattling, the controls were difficult to use and no instructions. Decor was drab, it was clean enough and had good amenities. We only stayed one night, thank goodness.
Reception was good and friendly, the hotel amenities looked good but as we were only there one night didn’t use them.
5.0
Room was small but clean and very comfortable beds. The carpet could have done with a bit more as the spiky sides were visible as the carpet wasn't flush with the wall. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety.
5.0
Cleanliness and proximity to a lot of places
