Overall a good stay. Plentiful parking, comfortable bed and small kitchenette. Restaurants and shops nearby but car is needed.

Our room was not ready when promised; this caused a big issue for us. When we did get the room, we had a suite for 4 people. There were only 3 bath towels, no hand towels or washcloths. We had to request those. We made reservations 6 months in advance and felt we were treated like an afterthought. Would not recommend this hotel.

Oddly laid out. The fridge opens the wrong way. The toilet is so close to the sink that you bang into the corner of the sink counter when you sit down. The bed was comfortable but the couch wasn't. Very limited amount of dishes. Okay for a quick stay but not for a long vacation.

To be fair, this hotel feels a bit older and is (comparatively speaking) quite affordable for the area. Even still, I wish several things had gone better during my stay. Here are just a few things I found lacking:
** The ice machine is broken. There were ice cube trays in the freezer of my (smaller) refrigerator, but they didn't have any ice made when I arrived with a room-temperature drink I'd hoped to drink cold.
** The laundry machines in one of the buildings were broken, I was told by housekeeping. So much for doing laundry.
** The water pressure was terrible, and it's a mystery to me why a hotel in 2024 wouldn't have a curved shower bar. The curtain was touching me the entire time I showered.
** The entirety of my stay, there were one or two people (same people for 48 hours) who seemed to be permanently hanging out at one of the entrances. I don't know if they were staying there, but it made me feel a bit uncomfortable coming and going.
** The thermostat wouldn't accept overrides of its default temp. I kept nudging it down, and every time I looked, it had reset back.
** The TV in the living area had no connection to any cable/services. It was unusable.
** The desk chair wasn't much different from most hotel chairs, but its design cut off circulation in my hips.
** The couch was like sitting on concrete.

The suite that I had booked was nice; however, I am pretty sure some of the utensils in the dishwasher that was there when I have arrived have been used by previous guests to engage in drug use based on their stains. Moreover, the guests in the suite adjacent to mine were loud most of the night, banging, and had sketchy looking people going in and out of that room at all hours. Pretty sure they were criminals. For a four star hotel, I expected the caliber of guests to be better.

The staff was nice. However, the room was not clean. It smelt like cigarette smoke and when you walked in the hallway it had a Marijuana smell. The hotel buildong was ok. Had people standing outside smoking. The hotel qas full of people who appeared to be workong from out of town so it did not look safe.

People actually live here, first room stunk like smoke,2nd room was good. Bldg is pet friendly and smelled like cat pee on floor 3 of main bldg. Worker that we checked in with was very nice and helpful and made sure that we were happy with our 2nd room.

Did a weekend stay for a visit to Salem. Found the hotel nice, and staff very helpful. Would stay here again.

I would stay again but wouldn’t be my first choice. Guy at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly.

The rooms were large, the bed was comfy.

Hotel was clean and good for a quick stay. It was difficult to get things like extra towels and the staff often seemed overwhelmed but it worked well for a weekend trip.

No luggage stand. Regular rooms don’t have ADA height toilets.

Hotel in disrepair, hall filled with trash and food overflowing trash cans. Hotel will not service rooms unless you stay for 7 days or more!! not explained at time of booking or check in.

We got to the hotel at 1215 am Friday. We verified it was ok to check in that late. We arrived and go to the front door. It locks for safety at 11p. You ring the front desk, and the rep will buzz you in. There WAS no one at the front desk. We rang ten solid minutes. We could see the unmanned front desk and were stuck in the vestibule. IHG customer service live chat told us to look for a lock box. There was no lockbox. She tried calling the front desk. After this went on for about another 15 minutes, a guest let us in the lobby. We called customer service again on chat and phone. The phone reps were not able to help. It literally was not in their power to help. The live chat rep kept insisting that there are lock boxes with keys. The guest said to knock on all the office doors. With her insistence and the suggestion, we went behind the desk. There was an unlocked drawer full of money, an unlocked door with multiple computers and the front desk rep asleep in the GM’s office. No apologies from him. He never asked for my driver’s license. No verification of who I was. Food from the previous tenants in the refrigerator. Within 10 min I went to the desk for linens for the sofa bed, he was asleep. The oven did not close. The exhaust vent in the bathroom did not work so the entire place smelled of mold and this weird smell. The shower curtain was open when we got there. When you closed it, the smell was even stronger. I really don’t know what it was, but it was not pleasant.

We had a two bedroom suite. It was like a small apartment. Great for a family 🙂

The overall hotel site exterior and grounds do not seem to be too well maintained. The room is clean but pretty worn down on some areas.

The room itself was pretty good. There were no linens in the room for the pull out when we got there. We arrived as a family of 4 so Im pretty sure they would have been aware we would be using the second bed. I walked down to the desk and they only had flat sheets and nothing else. No offer for pillows or even cases etc. My kids sleep on their squishmallows so it was not an kssue but I found that wierd. There was also almost no silverware to be found. We were only there for the weekend and didnt need much but found it odd they had like only one spoon.
The dealbreaker for me was the property is literally covered in dog poop. We brought our dog and couldnt even use what looked like the dog area for the sheer amount of dog poop and human trash. I dont find it a fault of the property but the caliber of people staying here. There are trash bins and courtesy bags, so people are literally lazy. It covered even the mulch area by the entrance though, which you think wouldnat least get cleaned by staff. I ended up walking down the street so I could walk my dog and almost ended up getting hit by drunk wedding guests. We still wiped her paws down everytime we came back in because there is poop everywhere.

Access and Parking nearby were extremely busy and rather dirty. Rooms were lovely but noisy from other guests

There was no signs to find the property off of the main road. It’s hidden back behind a newly abandoned shopping plaza and is not visible from the road -so it was very difficult to find even with GPS. Parked to check in we were yelled at by a vagrant woman who claimed to live there. If you have a large SUV you must be extremely careful parking- the spaces are sized for compact cars. Checking into the room the hallways were filled with smoke you could barely see the other end of the hallway. Having asthma I found it difficult to breath and needed my inhaler regularly while staying there. The room itself was absolutely filthy- food smeared on the counters and coffee table- the toilet used and not flushed- makeup stains on the pillow cases- pubic hair all over the bathroom- window in kitchen was caked in cooking grease- there was no hand soaps at the sink no extra towel no extra bedding other than what was on the bed- TV remote missing. Basically -room was not stocked or cleaned properly. Needless to say, I made many trips to the front desk. The front desk attendant was often nowhere to be found inside- they were mostly always outside smoking. However, the attendant was very nice and helpful. They told me the excuse for such a filthy room is that they were understaffed. At night many of the guests were visibly doing drugs in their car. Smelled of dog throughout. I could go on a LOT more but this doesn’t a lot for enough space. Not worth the money-don’t bring kids. Go elsewhere

Our stay was 4 nights with another couple, we were in town for a music festival. We had a two room suite with kitchen. After a trip to the grocery store, we had everything we needed to cook breakfast every morning. There was a common area for relaxing and watching tv. And two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds. The coffee in the lobby was always available and very good. We enjoyed our stay.

Check in was great! Not the room I thought I was getting! Unpacking and a mouse runs under the door! They couldn’t change my room! Maintenance never came! Night front desk man was rude and condescending to us about the mouse! We had to contact front desk four times about the mouse! Bugs in the room!

The hotel is clean, practical, and in a great location in the North Shore. People are friendly, and the suite we stayed in was comfortable.
We had lots of little issues that made the stay a disappointment. The king size bed had queen size sheets that kept getting off. We had no housekeeping until the third day, and that was after repeated requests. We had to ask for basics included, like toilet paper to last us for our stay, and coffee filters to use in the room. What made it disappointing was that we would ask for help, and despite friendly apologies, help was very slow in coming. To top it all off, the day we finally got housekeeping service, our door was left open, until we came back at 10:30 pm that night! The last day, we were told that housekeeping was only once a week! This had not been told to us during check-in or at any other time.
Kudos to four people that were trying really hard to do their work: Tamara, Bob, Susan, and Kelvin.
This is our second time staying here, and the first time was ok because it was only overnight. Great place for one night, or if you don’t mind having to chase people for clean towels and basic necessities.

Pros: Hotel had free parking and rooms were fairly quiet. We did not see help often, but they were friendly at check-in
Cons: Hotel was worn and needed some attention. In our room paint was peeling in area above the shower. I need to wipe a layer of dust off the air vent. Glasses in cabinet were chipped. The area is out of the way. It was about 20 minutes outside of Salem. There were very few places to eat nearby that were not fast food.

Very clean, quiet and rooms are updated. Friendly staff every time I’ve visited here.

easy off and on from highway
property is starting to show some age with wear and tear
the two bedroom suites was set up for 2 people-2 high top chairs for eating, 2 towels in bathroom, 2 forks and knifes 1 roll of TP (we had 4 people for 3 nights)

This started with the entrance to the property. It was very poorly marked and we drove past it twice before figuring out that what looked like some old apartments was actually the hotel. The area is not maintained and feels very run down. Check-in went smooth and the young man at the front desk was fantastic. When we got to the room, it was disgusting. There was dirt everywhere. The shower curtain was missing and it was obvious that someone had been smoking in the room. I went back to the front desk and again, the young man working was awesome and apologized multiple times before putting us in another room. This room was in much better shape; however, there was a bunch of food on the pull out couch and my autistic daughter (who was already upset from the first room) could t handle it. We ended up just going back to the front desk and canceling our reservation and going to another hotel. Once again, the front desk clerk was wonderful and took care of the cancellation for us with nothing but apologies.

The staff is extremely kind; that's what helps raise the score & makes me hesitant to state the negative. The negative is that you hear EVERYTHING from the person above you. My upstairs "neighbor" came back after 10pm when i was getting ready to sleep & all the floor creaking, things being dropped in the shower, kitchen noises, etc disrupted my ability to sleep & woke my child and i up. We even had the fan app on the tv and still heard everything. This was supposed to be a relaxing few days away from hom, and with the lack of comfortable sleep it really didn't meet that goal of mine. That being said, the sheets were comfortable, the place seemed clean (minus the fact that i sat in the chair in my room and my butt was covered in pet hair. That's pretty gross), and it was quiet minus the thin floors and walls. Unfortunately, the lack of sleep makes me not want to return.

The front desk personnel was great and very patient. A refreshing interaction after a grueling flight and horrible airport experiences.

Was really happy with our suite. It was larger then expected and very clean. We didn’t get any housekeeping the 3 days we were there, no garbage collection or towels - luckily we were so busy with our trip we were only there to sleep and shower, so maybe you just have to ask for that?

Room clearly used to be a old former smoking room, still smelled like cigarettes. Also, upon getting to the room things weren't restocked like shampoo. Staff was very nice
