Overall for a quick 1 night stay it was not bad, we did have to switch rooms as the first one smelled of smoke even though it was a non- smoking. Breakfast was included which is nice typical hotel breakfast though they could have had someone else helping as breakfast was packed and the food and were running out faster then it was being replaced.

Excellent location, close to shopping and dining. This property is next to a very stinky lake, really off putting smell. Once in, the person at the front desk was amazing, friendly, helpful and insightful. Really appreciated his help. The room was clean and the bathroom was great! The only thing was the water pressure was low, but overall great experience. Very nice and convenient that there was room delivery pizza service! Pizza was great!

Terrible experience with very unprofessional staff. The check-in staff did a terrible job attempting to get us to our room. There were 2 people working at the time, both weren't knowledgeable of the procedure and both showed a lack of professionalism. They ended up giving us the key to another families room under the impression that it was our room at 2am in the morning. We walked in on the family!! We will not be returning to this property ever.

This property was NOT what I expected. There was duct tape on the elevator door, holes in the bed linen, broken lamps, and very noisy.

I stayed on the fourth floor on 2/14/24 and the room next to mine played loud music from the time I got into my room at 9:15 p.m. till 9 something this morning 2/15/24. I called the front desk and eventually had to go to the front desk. My guest and I got little to no sleep. I eventually checked out before 10 a. m and check out was at 11. I have stayed here before and had no complaints.

My stay was egregious. Before I even arrived at the hotel, I had contacted them to tell them that I would be arriving with my medical alert, service dog. I was told that the manager does not allow service dogs in the building. I told the representative that I wanted to speak with the manager to explain to her that if she denied my stay that I had already paid for, I would contact my lawyer and press charges for discrimination. The manager was not in the hotel @ 2:00pm. The room I requested and was told was available on the first floor was not. I was told that the room was dirty. They are telling me this whole 5 cleaning ladies are all gathered in the front leaving the building. I was then given 2 other rooms to try on the 2nd floor only to find out I could not get in because the keys were not working. I was told that the key cards are VERY old and the higher ups have refused to get new ones. Finally, I was in my room and the only window cover that is available is a sheer curtain which did not close all of the way and this was an issue because the parking lot lights were shining in my eyes. I am appalled that a hotel surrounded by other hotels would not try to be the best so people stay with you. For me never again.

Nice lady at the front desk was so helpful when I checked in. Hotel is good somewhat aged but due for a refit according to staff. No pool or hot tub available.

Room and hotel were both very clean. Very friendly staff. Excellent place to stay.

Comfortable and safe

Clean, convenient. Great walking trail along the river.

Absolutely loved the lake view balconies. Sat and relaxed on the balcony all night. Sunrise/sunset from the lake view rooms is stunning. Room was immaculate. Clean, tons of pillows and towels. The couch provided a place to sit comfortably to entertain. There are grills outside to use for meals. I never once heard another occupant outside of my room or in the hallways. Very private feeling! Will definitely stay here anytime I am near Petersburg in the future!

We came to Virginia for our son's AIT graduation and stayed at Comfort Suites for 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I come to this area in the future, I would stay again.

An excellent stopover stay

Room was not check in ready was dirty and ran down completely over priced for the quality of the rooms!!

The area around seemed a little sketchy, like the neighborhood was not the greatest. The room was clean and just fine, and the breakfast provided was OK. It was just the area in which it was located that created a sense of unease for my wife and I.

Wow! Where do I start?. So I booked my hotel through a third party, for a cheaper price. I called the Comfort Suites in which I had the pleasure to speak with Daisy, I was calling to see how late check in was, due to my flight landing late in the evening. She couldn’t find my booking, mind you this is on a Thursday, and I booked the hotel for my stay for the very next day(Friday). I’m like this can’t be right. Long story short Daisy went above and beyond to help me get this issue fixed, come to find out a hour later there was a glitch in the system. After nearly 30 mins on the with with Daisy(before we discovered the problem). I then had the pleasure to speak with her manager Nae, she took my phone # down called the third party company, went above any beyond to get to the bottom of the issue, at this point a hour has passed. Daisy and Nae were able to solve, what could have been a disaster/headache for me, and they did it with patience, kidness, empathy and their pleasure. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, and whenever I stay in VA again, this hotel will ALWAYS be my # 1 choice. Thank you to the staff at Choices Suites Hotel in South Park. I’m truly grateful for your excellent service, and for me, my best hotel customer service experience.

The hotel had overbooked and did not have a room for me even though I made the reservation several days earlier. Arriving after 10pm in a rainy night and having an unpleasant surprise. Clerk did not make an effort to assist me with finding an alternative. Fortunately Expedia was able to assist me with finding something close

We stay here everytime we're in town. Thos hotel have the best customer service, the beds at this hotel are so relaxing and comfortable.

The parking was horrible ☹️ Everything else was wonderful 👍😁

I've stayed here before and been satisfied however with the construction next door, there was not enough parking. I had a handicap sticker but had to park across the street due to the facility letting non handicap park in those spots. Sink did not drain properly and refrigerator leaked.

I was beyond inconvenienced the entire stay and the hotel was dirty
