Management was very friendly and informative. Felt very safe traveling alone. Hotel was under renovation, stayed in new room. Not a fan of the new decor.

Worst Microtel we have ever stayed in. Under construction, dust everywhere, no elevator, limited breakfast offerings to a pancake machine and dining recommendations in town were the worst. We left the supposed local’s choice after waiting an hour and then being told they were out of two of our selections. Go to K-Bobs instead

We had an issue with the A/C making a rattling noise, front desk moved us to another room that was better. Limited choices at breakfast.

We stayed overnight at this hotel and it was a good nights rest. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast… Mostly carbs, doughnuts, waffles, bagels and more bread. There is a small fridge with apples and yogurt. That’s it. So not really breskfast.

My first room wasn’t clean. The bathroom had debris and dirt on the floor and bodily fluids in the walls. It also shared a door with really, really loud people next door. The very kind front desk associate let me change rooms. The new room smelled of fresh paint and was, generally, cleaner. However, the bed and pillows were the least comfortable I’d ever experienced in my life. I ended up not sleeping a wink and just decided to hit the road at 5 am. Rough night overall.

The heater was so dirty it would not put out enough heat to warm the room. The vending machines didn’t even work. The room latch was broken off. Only 3 tv channels worked. The staff was very pleasant.

Not so good - plumbing backed up & had difficulty getting it taken care of.
Continental breakfast was HORRIBLE,
lousy weak coffee & no protein or eggs.

This hotel was conveniently located for my road trip and was reasonably priced. The building was said to be undergoing a remodel and seemed under-staffed. The air unit in my room rattled all night and the surfaces were not clean. The bed served the purpose needed, I just have higher standards for cleanliness and quiet.

Free breakfast had no eggs, bacon or sausage. Just oatmeal, toast, pancakes, waffles, yogurt. The room was cold. No extra blankets. The minu fridge buzzed all night long. Only slept a couple of hours.Checkin guy made sure i knew that i didnt sign up for pets. (We had no pets.) Room was very small, but clean.

An okay hotel for an overnight on the road. Nothing remarkable. Breakfast was all carbs no protein.

The heaters here are frustrating. They only stay on for a few minutes at a time. We switched rooms and the new room didn't smell terrible like the first one but the heaters were the same. Staff was great but the rooms need some work in my opinion.

For being under remodeling state, the rooms were on first floor were fine. But I would get rid of all the mirrors in old rooms. The night check-in was pleasant and did a good job of explaining the upgrades taking place.

Had stayed several years ago and it was pleasant. This time, there was no fridge as advertised. The heat/air conditioner rattled noisily all night. The soap bar was miniscule and rough. Workers were up early remodeling. We won't stay again. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and pleasant.

The hotel is under renovation so there was a lot of construction debris around. Our room was nice and newly renovated but the rest of the hotel was kind of torn up. Also there was no elevator and we were on the second floor which was extremely inconvenient-I wish we had known and wouldn’t have stayed there since we had so many things to carry upstairs.

The room was very compact. I'm glad there were only two of us. There was a very small counter in the bathroom, but the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was for those who like bread items only (waffles, toast donuts, oatmeal packets), which I am not. I had orange juice.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND This hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and other town amenities. The manager was very accommodating putting our two rooms next to each other. The staff was professional, rooms where clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was just right to get us going on the road..We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and efficient and we mostly enjoyed our stay the only issue we had was the night front desk individual was not very friendly he seemed put out about having to check us in his manner was very gruff. Also the lobby bathroom has a sign on the door that says it’s only for staff and management we had just come off the road and needed to use the bathroom during check in which was taking a long time he let me use the bathroom but he wasn’t happy about it if you have a bathroom in the lobby it should be for guests also.

Almost perfect; however, l could find no charging ports anywhere in my room. Breakfast was very skimpy with no fruit. If these issues were corrected, it could be the best bargain on your trip.

very nice room, well appointed. Was expecting to have a kitchenette in my room. Room was well appointed and modern. My only complaint would be more outlets in the room. Hard to find places to plug in laptop, phones, tablet, etc. otherwise very nice stay.

The manager was very helpful after I experienced a problem with Expedia. The drawback is the lack of an elevator. But manager was able to find us a room on the first floor. Overall I was pleased and would use this hotel again.

AC/heater unit in second room did not turn off when it was set for “OFF.”
The room and bedding were fine.

Property needs updating. Room had limited electrical outlets with several extension cords in place for the TV, refrigerator, coffee pot. Nowhere to plug in computer on the desk.
Rugs in room dirty, had to wear socks when in the room and they were dirty at the end of the stay.
Limited dining in the area.

Needs some cosmetic touch up. Stayed there 6 years ago and it has had a lot of wear and tear. Still a nice place for Raton NM. Probably the best.

Don’t stay if you have a 2nd floor room. They don’t have an elevator. No not that it was out they don’t have one at all.

The hotel is ok. Beds were super comfortable, breakfast was the usual. Compared to the other "motels" in town, this is probably on the higher end. With that said, I wasn't impressed for a Wyndham hotel brand. I think they took a really old building and slapped some siding on it and added Wyndham to the name.
