Nice new and clean, we requested a view room but didn't pay for ocean view, we were given a view of dumpsters and rooftops with loud garbage trucks every morning, wouldn't stay again.

This hotel is one of the best I had the pleasure of staying with my family. It's clean, great staff, and close to beach, Legoland, and restaurants of all sorts. The only problem was our upstairs, (we were on the 1st floor) the family had zero control of their kids. So when it was time for us to put our kids to sleep, it was just horrendous. The noise, jump running, and evening talk can be heard from our room directly beneath theirs. My tips would be, if you want good rest, please pick the top (3rd Fl). Don't make them mistake I did, both me, my wife, and my kids suffered. The front desk did made effort, but that family was ridiculous.

My only real complaint was the parking. I don't mind paying for parking but there needs to be a better designed loading and unloading scheme.

We like this hotel, the rooms are nice with one exception which unfortunately has a negative impact on the generally good impression. The very large door to the bathroom consist mainly of Milk-glass and is facing the bed. So during the night, when you use the bathroom, a very bright light shines on the person in the bed, bright enough to wake-up the person.

We really enjoyed the hotel. Location is excellent for access to Carlsbad Village and beach. Onsite breakfast was good; however, hot food served was prepackaged and heated in a microwave. Room was comfortable, clean, and fully met our needs.
