Great location! Close to public transportation. Room with queen bed and two bunk twins was very nice and worked well for us. We called ahead and they were able to check us in a little early which allowed us to enjoy the art fair. Good breakfast. Would stay again if ever in Cambridge!

We booked the Irving House in order to attend our son's performance at Harvard. It was the second time we stayed at the inn. The location is excellent with very easy access to the Harvard/Radcliff campus. We definitely plan to stay again. The free parking is a huge plus.

This is a quaint B&B right next to Harvard. This is an old house so be ready to walk up with your suitcase. It has all you need and has a quirky antique feel. Price is right too.

Great budget friendly option. Comfortable, has all the amenities you need, well situated, and excellent value overall.

The experience was simply amazing. The house has been transformed into a beautiful B&B. It was charming, clean, and cozy with a mid 1800's feel. The shower was good eith ample hot water, the bed was comfortable although not a premiere experience like large chain hotels that have upgraded bedding and pillows. We called at 11am to see if our room was ready from Harvard Yard and by the time we walked the short distance, only had to wait about 5 minutes to get into our room. They sent the cleaning crew straight over to do our room first. The breakfast was amazing with cheesy egg phyllo puffs, quiches, yogurt, nuts and raisins, various good quality breads with cheese, peanut butter and nutella. They even had olives and tomatoes. Cereal three kinds of milk or substitutes, and fresh fruit.

Excellent establishment. So much so, I have it bookmarked as a go to for my wife and myself whenever we have stopovers in Boston. The breakfast was great too.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, well run, affordable.

Very comfortable space. Parking in back is limited, but worked out this time. Possible to ask for 1st or 2nd floor, with 3&4 a hike to get up to. Coffee always available.

Close to Harvard and served my visit well.

The furniture had tears in the upholstery, the sheets were dingy, tub stained .
This was more like a youth hostel than B & B.

The location is very convenient. However, people need to be aware that there are no elevators in the house and it can be an issue for some people.

The room was a little stuffy and it would be nice to have a fan to turn on since there's no a/c.

Location is the best feature of this inn. Individual experience probably depends on specific rooms: our tiny room with a full bed that cost over $300 felt seriously overpriced for the quality of offered accommodations. The mattress was sagging and the shower very weak. The room is so small that there is no place to put luggage. I have no idea where people put their coats and boots in the winter. The door lets in the light from the hallway, which is a problem for those who need a dark room to fall asleep. The breakfast is pretty basic, considering the price of the room...

Given prices in Cambridge this is ideal for budget travel. Or if you’re not planning on spending much time on property. Some of the rooms are very very small which is not a problem if you’re just trying to get a good nights sleep. But it has nice sitting areas and a thoughtful breakfast selection. It seems to atract a nice contingent of international travelers that come here to do collaborations at the nearby universities..

The breakfast was good. We liked having a washer and dryer available. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful...especially a young guy with dark, curly hair who went out of his way to answer our questions about traveling to Gloucester.
A ceiling fan would be nice to have ~ our only suggestion...

Cool place. I didn't realize. I wouldn't have my own bathroom, which wasn't a big deal, but maybe could be more clear. Overall clean and quiet.

For what is essentially a rooming house, the price is steep. Perhaps the cost is connected to location, very near the Harvard campus. The highlight was the morning breakfast, which was must better than many bed and breakfast stays.

This place was just ok. I didn't like the shared bathroom, or the lack of train stops near by. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean, but for the price, I would go somewhere else next time.

This was extremely convenient for Harvard Parents. Close to the college. Only issue is that AC was not great. Ambience and staff are great though

I enjoyed to area close to where I needed to go. The key needs to be changed I saw one of the housekeeper with the same key. The carpet is very old and some of the bulbs need to be changed. Good breakfast good veggie options. The room was clean and restrooms are clean. Just a nasty carpet ..

The people here were so helpful and is in perfect walking distance to Harvard Square and surrounding areas. It's shaded with a lot of patio seating, which is great for summertime. Very quaint and quiet, private rooms which were great and very clean. Would stay here again!

The inn was cute and welcoming. The room was a bit small but it was comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was also delicious! Would stay again!
