This is an old building with outdoor entrances to the rooms. Inside and out, everything you see is worn out and shabby. The repairs that have been done over the years were done poorly. There were cigarette burns in the bathroom and in the bedspread. There was no cigarette smell, only a faint disinfectant smell.The bed was advertised as a queen, but it was actually a full. This was not a problem for me since I was traveling solo, but it could be an issue for couples or families. The pillows were small, but they were nice and firm, just the way I like them. There was a microwave and mini fridge: I didn't use them, but they seemed to be in working order. The air conditioner worked well, and was whisper quiet. The desk clerk was polite and efficient. There are many shopping and dining options within walking distance, including a 24 hour convenience store right next door. Bottom line: you book here because you're looking for a cheap room, and that's what you'll get. I found it adequate in every important way, but it's not pretty.

The heater blows the curtain open so that the room is on public view.
The sink faucet sprays above the sink and soaks the top of the vanity.
I just killed a cockroach - picture available upon request.

Checked out within 30 minutes of arrival. Saw one cockroach and knew I could not stay the night. The staff was understanding and did not question why I was leaving. I wish nothing but the best for the Anderson Inn.

Waited in line with five others trying to check in for almost fifteen minutes while the guy running the place talked on the telephone. Then he finally came to the window told everyone he would be right back. Then he proceeded to come out lock the door and got in his car and left the premises!! Left all of us just standing there. I waited for another ten minutes in which time he did not return. So needless to say we had to find and pay for another hotel. Went back the next morning to get a refund and they refused saying we should have waited for the manager to return!! Horrible service! The place was also terrible looking, trash in the parking lot, old and worn down. Avoid this place at all costs!!

I made a reservation for three nights I ended up staying for about 30 minutes before getting another hotel across the street. Is that 30 minutes I was a cop it in the parking lot twice by Phil is pushing shopping carts full of garbage asking for money and when I got to my room I went up there five minutes before a prostitute knocked on the door and proposition me. The television has three channels… Three! They were CNN, the WNBA channel and finally a channel dedicated to self-help testimonials. I went across the street back to the Charleston in the next morning to ask for a refund which was promised on hotels.com where I made the reservation and was told they don’t give any refunds. I explain to them what happened the day before that I was uncomfortable staying there because one of the two locks on the door didn’t even work. The hotel clerk said call a cop if you don’t like it. That would give us -5 stars .

Upon check in the attendant was nice however on his cell phone video chatting with a woman. He gave me the card said oh yea your room is 208. Upon entering the room I noticed multiple cigarette burns on the comforter as well as a large oily looking stain. There were no free plugs in the actual room itself to charge our phones so we had to sacrifice the refrigerator plug. Bathroom was clean but clearly rusted and painted over. Upon pulling back the blankets I’d found that the bed was covered with 2 flat sheets (no fitted sheet) the box frame on the bed now visible had multiple stains on it. Overall not a very pleasant feeling. Given the hour we’d gotten in and having driven 16 hours we’d sacrificed trying to find another place but wouldn’t recommend going there to anyone!!

Room was close to everything. Needs to be updated extremely bad. Bed was comfy,but covers and sheets were filthy. Thankfully I bought my own.

My stay was absolutely horrible when we walked in to our first room the sheets and bed was completely filthy and there was burn marks on the sheets and comforters and I checked the bathroom the vent was hanging off the wall and there was roaches in the shower so me and my husband went down to complain and the man behind the counter came and looked at the room so he gave us another room and then got mad at us for checking the sheets and the new room had some yellow stain on the sheets we did stay but would not recommend this hotel to anyone also the pictures do not look nothing like the room

Floors were dirty, room smelled like smoke. Burn holes in blankets on bed. Tv remote didnt work. Very noisy. No extra blankets or pillows. Lack of hangars, broken chair under desk.

Absolutely terrible. Stayed for 20minutes and had to leave. The room did not look like the picture provided upon booking, there was a terrible smell upon entry as well as in check in. Once in the room the bed had stains on the sheets and mattress, the walls were all chipped and banged up, the bathroom had old rust spots and the carpet was all ripped up. When turned the heat on smelled like something had died in it. The noise level, you could hear all conversations in adjacent rooms, doors slamming and the traffic was terrible. Packed our things and left, never again! Travellers beware…NOT HOW ROOM IS ADVERTISED.

The outside of the property matches the pictures. My room had a smell of old mold. It also had roaches. I could not sleep in the bed because the sheets had spots on them and the bedspread was full of cigarette holes. The shower looked filthy at the bottom and the drain had hair in it along with roaches' will not rent a room here again.

It was fine but the toilet didn't flush at all (even when we tried to do it manually from the tank.) And when we were preparing to check out, they were knocking on the door a few minutes early asking us to get out, and it made it very hectic to try to leave.

Had to find a place in a pinch as my usuals were booked. The TV and Wifi were fine; the AC unit required some coaxing and looked like a descendant of WW 2. The furnishings were of General Pershing vintage and Sherwin Williams had not visited the room in a couple of decades. The pool was inoperative; they clearly state that you have 5 minutes to cancel the room after checking in. The place probably serves a purpose for those in need; it is located close to Hoosier Park and other attractions.

For the price, this was EXACTLY what I expected. Budget motel. The room was clean, but quite worn. Water was hot, the bed was comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep.

The room and service was sub par. Two of the lights didn’t work. No replacement bulbs were available. The security lock on the door was broken from being kicked in. Felt unsafe. Only positive is it was $49/night. Only recommend for a traveler looking for cheap thrill!

Towels and wash wraps rough as hell this hotel is set up where people living out of the hotel rooms . It’s a whole in the wall . The bed was little to be a queen size. They had no blow dryer , they had a power strip in the room cause there are no outlets through out the room . The people above me kept packing the floor we hours of the night interrupting my sleep. I didn’t feel to comfortable. Was afraid to leave any thing valuable in the room. I had to wipe out the shower with disinfectant it was dirty. This is a last resort type of place. The whole place needs to be renovated

The room i stayed in had a damaged front door. The heat got too hot when set at 72. It went up to 77. Not enough lighting in the room. Didn't have any shampoo or conditioner or lotion or hair dryer.

I booked a non smoking room well in advance of my stay. I emailed the hotel specifically asking for a non smoking room due to asthma. They emailed back and said they have me booked into a non smoking room. IT WAS HORRIBLE! It REAKED of cigarette smoke and even had a burn hole in the bedspread. I tried to tough it out as Anderson hotels were sold out. I woke up barely able to breathe and checked out by 6am to get fresh air. The manager wouldn’t refund the 2nd night of my stay.

Lots of drug activity, very dirty, I felt unsafe. Blood on the table and on the chair in the room.

This place is a dump!! Loaded with drug addicts and prostitutes!! Worst, filthiest place I have ever seen. I had no idea places like this exist in today's world. It belongs in the worst third world country!!!

I cant really say I really liked anything about our stay...They pictures on the expedia site for this hotel was not what we got.. We were on hard uncomfortable cot like beds, our blankets , if you were lucky enough to have been given one, were full of cigartte burn holes including the sheets. One of the beds were literly on top of the air conditioner. The fan in the bathroom was hanging off the wall and as you walk in the bottom of the walk way ubove us would drop pieces
