Birthday get away! Great area, walking distance to two restaurants. Beach close drive.

Room was super clean and both the AC and bathroom fan worked as they should. Towels were pretty soft and the soap/shampoo/conditioner was high quality. Much more modern than expected for the price in Marathon. Was backed up the canal and had a great view. Taking out the bikes and kayaks were super simple, biked about 10 miles. Have in room Keurig & K cups for coffee. Pool water was great temperature as well.

Short three day trip to visit Key West which is approximately 1 hour drive away.

Doors between rooms allowed guests to hear everything and they were having a party next door, loud. They quickly quieted down after we asked them to but still could easily hear them in normal talking voices.

Suite familiale, canal view
Just perfect, clean, quiet and lovely
The beds are comfortable
The suite was pretty clean and we really enjoyed our morning coffee near the canal

We stayed three nights. Excellent value ‘resort’. Drove into Key West one day and the other two in the area. It’s hard to review the condition since some of the rooms are significantly older than others. We were in an older room, however, and cleanness was great

Comfortable and very clean

Great stay in a moderately priced’resort’. Some of the rooms are on the older side, but still very clean and welcoming. We stayed three nights. Drove into Key West the first day (One hour each way). Second day and my wife went into a Key West again, but I stayed and use the bicycles to go to the beach and kayaking. It was great

It was an amazing place to be

Nice place. Reasonably priced for holiday weekend. No hot water for 3 days. Floors were not clean. Bed was soft. Great location.

Clean and comfortable. We did not take advantage of the kayaks or bikes. We hope to do that next time.

In their description they said that they had continental breakfast when I booked the room. When we went for breakfast it was a take and go breakfast and that the next day they were eliminating breakfast all together.
We then had to find a restaurant to eat breakfast which then cost us more money.
We were at resort for four dsys. I think that we should have been reimbursed some money for the inconvenience. We would not have stayed there if they were not going to have breakfast.

had a good stay at Coconut Cay Resort and Marina. Very comfortable, quiet, and clean. Staff were very kind and helpful. You can "borrow" Kayaks, and paddleboards to do some adventuring in the bay there, and that was free! Several good spots to eat nearby. Good night sleep!

Problems: Unsafe step down from office door. Office closed after 10 p.m. No safe for valuables in room or office, no chain lock or peephole on door, uneven surface from parking to room door, insufficient parking near front units, sandbags laying randomly about, extremely loud traffic from US 1, 24/7 within feet of the room, fridge whined and had to be kept unplugged and unusable, odd and dangerous unlit step up to bathroom level (husband fell) in room, blinds on window to parking lot did not block light and did not cover entire window, allowing view into room from outside. Hard surface floor not sanitized between guests (we watched the 5 minute 'cleaning' of our room when we arrived), area around doornobs dirty (we cleaned this ourselves), bed was sitting on a weird tin box that made bending noises whenever we changed position in bed, no ceiling fan in bedroom, no soapdish in shower, no tub, no water pressure in shower, room furniture dingy and outdated with veneer on top of nightstand stripped off, area for kayakking is an algae-filled cesspool of stagnant water, no pool view. No ice, snacks or beverages available on site after 10 pm.
We will never stay there again and will actively recommend against it. This 'resort' is actually a 'no tell - motel' and it was embarassing to host someone there.

The room was very clean and spacious.. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect for the different things to do and places to see. Will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

Pros- Nice employees at desk. They recommended a good restaurant.
Cons- Loud cars all the time, dirty old looking couch, something spilled on bathroom wall, rusty bathroom shower rod, killed 5 spiders and removed webb from ceiling, couldn't set air conditioning to a certain temperature, prepacked breakfast so couldn't pick out what you liked or wanted and oatmeal but no bowl. No place to eat, had to sit on yucky couch and hold food since had no table.

We liked absolutely nothing about this stay. I believe it to be false advertising on your website. The property is in need of a complete overhaul and I will be reaching out to the local health department and reporting them. We had to vacate 2 days early as my husband became ill and we believe it is due to the black mold in the air conditioning unit in the room. The walls were filthy with who knows what. Expedia is responsible for false advertising as I do not believe you would have this property listed on your website had you actually visited this property. It is grossly overpriced and I cannot express enough how filthy it is.

Floors were very dirty and area was noisy at times

Nothing like the photos. Noisy next to the airport and busy road. Not walkable. Staff spoke limited English so hard to communicate

I cannot say this is a good value. The view from our canal king room was pretty and the room itself was decorated well, but we were right next to the airport runway and it was LOUD. We didn't have a hair dryer in the room, it took 10 minutes for hot water to arrive and the AC was either full on or off. We couldn't seem to adjust it. We would have opened up the sliding door but there was no screen and it was buggy. We did have a fridge and a microwave. We had one working lamp in the room which made for a dark room in the evening. Location was good as it was convenient to everything and parking was free right outside the door which was great. Management responded right away when we asked for dry towels as the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which made drying towels and reusing them hard to do. Free "breakfast" consisted of a plastic bag filled with a small yogurt, a small container of Delmonte fruit and a mini muffin. The room did have a Keurig which was nice. There was no ice machine so you had to ask at the desk and they gave you a small bag but no way to keep it frozen once you were in the room. The tile floors were not well cleaned and we wore our shoes in the room as to not get dirty feet. Internet was good and TV was a smart TV. All in all, it is just not a good value for this price point .

Our room was recently painted and had a smell of paint. We found tiny ants on the bedside table. Overall, it was not a present stay.

Good location. Great to have bikes and kayaks available. Alot of road noise for he front unit we stayed in, bathroom could use a renovation. For the price it was what I expected. Nice workers.

We were assigned an upstairs room in one of their bungalows. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. I had to move the desk to plug in the TV as it was unplugged and non-functional. Easily fixed. The hair dryer was non-functional. The balcony and seating area was a nice touch. The price was reasonable. Be aware that the property is on a flight path approach to the Marathon airport, which seemingly gets traffic during daylight hours (but thankfully is quiet at night). The property is conveniently located (but remember Marathon is one big strip). I found the 10AM checkout time to be a bit inconvenient and it made me decide not to do a morning dive with the local dive agency (we did an afternoon in Key West instead - our next destination). The front desk staff was courteous and professional. We did not take advantage of the "free" breakfast - the breakfast nook had one table and that suggested inconvenience - I prefer not to start the competition with other patrons that early in the day. We'd consider staying here again.

The Coconut Cay facility and room were very dated, in disrepair and had roaches. Based on photos

Staff very smiling and nice but the area is not ideal because of the road. Maybe if the doors are sound check maybe?

Check in was fine, nothing special. Advertised as sound proof room, the room might have been but not the door and when you have families with screaming kids running up the stairs its loud. Also you are at the end of the runway, good thing the planes don't fly in at night. Went to use the coffee maker the next morning and glad i looked in the water area, it was bad, put the pot out of the way and happy i had my own. It definitely was not worth the nightly price we paid. For breakfast you got a zip lock bag with cheese it crackers, tangerine, instant oatmeal, juice box, yogurt, not impressed.

It was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in I think.
The water pressure was not good in the shower. But the hotel seemed to be clean.
4.0
Shower water was cold, had to wait 20-25 min for water to warm up. Even had to move rooms for a hot water shower. Ants all over shower and sink. I understand it’s florida but paying this much for a room, I don’t expect ants in the shower.

Gross! Hair in the bed, mold on the ceiling, dirty foot print on the wall, hole in the walls… just no. And the breakfast was a ziplock bag of yogurt, an orange, and a granola bar.

COCONUT CAY LIVED UP TO ITS GO9D REVIEWS. IT IS INDEED CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. I BOOKED 3 ROOMS AND THOUGH THERE WERE MINOR PROBLEMS - LEAKY AC IN ONE ROOM AND SLOW FLOWING BASIN SINK IN ANOTHER IT WAS INSUFFICIENT TO SPOIL THE POSITIVE IMPRESSION OF COCONUT CAY.

The only thing that happened to us is that we checked in a little before 6 pm and our idea was to be at the pool for a while. When checking in they told us that the pool closed at sunset, however the hotel information said that they closed later. Even on the door to entry the pool it said they closed at 8 pm.

The property in general is in really good condition the only thing inconvenient was i did not had hot water for my whole stay.

The property was close to the highway. The lady at the front desk was very nice, but it wasn't what I was expecting or wanted.

Property is in good condition. The beds are comfortable. They have kayaks, paddle boats and kayaks to use for free. Breakfast was also good. I’m happy with everything.
