Amazing location in the heart of downtown.

Right from the start they appreciated our needs for a shower a quiet room. They went out of their way to successfully accommodate our change in plans

Front desk was helpful and the rooms were super spacious. Shower wasn’t the best, but overall location and price was great.

I picked this hotel based on its proximity to Pike Place Market and pricing. This was an inexpensive quick trip to Seattle. The hotel is like a step into the past. There’s no air conditioning and we didn’t think that would be an issue thinking the weather would be cool. The weather actually was warm and sunny and the hotel did have fans available. The front desk attendant was very accommodating since we changed rooms twice before settling on the third room. The first room had issues with burned out light bulbs. The second room had an old claw foot bathtub and my 70 years old husband didn’t want to climb in and out of it. The next room had a walk-in shower, but it was apparent it was a prefabricated drop in unit and fit short of the space available. The extra gap was used to store towels in the back of the dark space. The rooms have old-fashioned deadbolt locks and you were actually given a key to carry around (only one to a room). There’s no ice machine. The coffee shop next to the lobby is closed Monday to Wednesday. There’s no coffee maker in the room. You can request a blow dryer from the front desk. Watch out for the homeless people populating the area. The photo of the rooms look better than the actual room. The restaurant next to the lobby was closed for remodeling. There’s free Wi-Fi. We were able to check in early which was appreciated.

It is noisy outside at night. The room was comfortable.

Elevator out of order so 3rd floor location and no bell personnel made it difficult for 75 plus year olds

The location is a block away from high
aggressive homeless population. It is a nice 5 min walk from pikes place. The shower was so small the curtains touch your body 360 which felt gross but it was rather clean in there for being so old. I stayed only one night before an alaskan cruise and so i had more baggage to carry up 4 flights of stairs as the elevator was out of order.

This is a fun place to stay in the city. Comfy clean rooms, nothing fancy. It is an old building. You can feel the history. The elevator was out while we were there which wasn’t a big deal since we were on the 4th floor. The water pressure in the shower sucked. There is no coffee maker in the standard room. Otherwise it was great! I’ll stay at the Moore hotel again.

This is not a bad spot, but you should know what you are getting, it’s a bit… rustic. And there’s a charm to that, as long as you know going in. It’s an old hotel and it hasn’t been very updated.
I would stay again, but I don’t mind rustic and the location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to Pike’s and other great spots.
If it were updated it would also undoubtedly be way more expensive. The price is right for its current state.
The shower is a small notch above a motor home shower, inconsistently hot water, little water pressure, not aesthetically pleasing and tightly cramped. But it does the job.
Biggest complaint was presence of radiator heater in the room that you have no control over, it just turns on to scorching and that’s that, it got incredibly hot one of the nights but it’s too loud a street to leave the window cracked, they did have a box fan in the closet which helped the one bed we were able to point it at.
The old skeleton key is charming, except for fear of losing it and the fact that later at night you can’t get into the building without being buzzed in by desk. A couple of times we had to wait outside for someone to return to the desk, not ideal. Would be nice to have a key card for front entry.
Lots of fun charm about the art they added to the halls etc though.
Parking situation is a bit more stressful than you’d like as well. If you can avoid renting a car at all I recommend doing so.
I’d stay again, but know folks who wouldn’t like it.

It was a very nice hotel! Close to all the things we wanted to go to by walking. Great atmosphere and the vintage aspects of our room were amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and I am forever greatfull for them being so nice. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again when I go back to Seattle.

Wonderful older building with some charm. Great staff. A good deal for a couple of days downtown.

This place was so cute and clean. We went to a concert next door at the theater. Will stay again

It would be nice if the rooms provided bottled water for the guests. All hotels and most motels have been trending in having bottled water in the room. Also it would be nice if the lobby had bottled water and coffee for the guests. Disappointed the coffee shop was closed the day we were leaving. There should be a night stand next to BOTH sides of the bed.

Good old rustic feeling
Cozy

Basic, but needs refrigerator in rooms.

Staff was great and very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are cute but the bathroom door looked like it was going to come off its hinges (understandable for a building that is 120 years old) lots of junkies outside of building (also not the fault of the hotel)
All in all, great stay!

No microwave or fridge. Not able to regulate own heat. The shower is tiny! No counter space in bedroom. No hair dryer or iron. 1 key per room. If you liked the 50's you will enjoy your stay

Cool historic hotel right downtown. Close to food and bars and the market.

You get what you pay for...and it was plenty expensive. While it was clean and quaint...if you want the bare essentials it was ok. The staff was not overly friendly but pleasant enough. Stayed in Nov and the heat did not work. They gave us an electric heater and offered extra blankets. It is a 113 year old building so keep that in mind. Restaurant was closed for renovations and coffee shop closed up at 330 in the afternoon. Lots of street noise. Was not terrible by any means...like I said, you get what you pay for. Expect 300.00)night for a nice stay in downtown Seattle. The city is awesome...GO HAWKSSSS!!!

Compared to other 2.5 star hotels, I think this was a good stay. The hotel is old, and could really need some renovation. But the service was great, and everything was clean and in order. As others has pointed out, there was no air condition, and it is quite noisy down town (and the windows are not modern and sound isolated).
But I read the earlier reviews and came prepared.
All in all I had a good stay here.

We went down for the weekend visit to the zoo and football game. We ended up seeing Demetri Martin because he was performing at the theatre. We had a great time, staff were wonderful. I wish we knew they had breakfast items at the cafe and there was also a cute little breakfast place across the street.
The rooms don’t have fridges or coffee makers. Also the parking and dropping off luggage was a bit more complicated then I’m used to but it’s manageable, not quite what I was expecting.
The hotel is a good location and we did have a wonderful time.

Great place to stay for attending a concert at the Moore Theatre.

I was really surprised how rude the check in clerk was to the people in fromtof me and myself. Threatened to cancel my reservation when I asked if a friend could come up to use the bathroom

We were going to a show at the Moore Theatre so location was perfect for that, but the hotel is quite old and dated. The closet could easily be a 2nd bedroom. Lots of wasted space. Elevator is tiny. Close to Pike Place though. Good walkability score. Staff was very pleasant.

This was probably the worst hotel I've stayed in, it should have been a $50 per night hotel not $150. The pictures are not a true depiction, hallways and rooms are dark and dingy. Lots of homeless people around the hotel and I froze all night.
The staff was very friendly though!

Beautiful hotel with wonderful front desk staff,,,, hotel had lots of personality and was right next to the concert theatre
Room was lovely and had a partial water view/ Bathroom was nicely appointed

walls are very thin and could hear my neighbors talking and alarms going off all night, people screaming on the streets, and for the cost of this hotel you’d expect basic amenities, which this hotel lacks. room looked better in the pictures and showers are very small.

Clean room in good condition. No fridge or microwave was disappointing, as well as $25 per day parking one block away.
Quick check-in and check-out process with friendly staff. Overall good experience.

This place was a dump, no coffee, tissues, phones, climate control, crappy blankets, toilet seat was 2.5” from a wall, no art on walls, 1” gap under doors, so, so noisy, no parking, has to park blocks away in a public parking lot. I feel like I was ripped off.

It's been expedient. Area is great though. Quick walk to the Pike Place Market and everything else is just a short bus or metro ride away.

only problem was the heat at night

Nestled in the middle of down town, with great rooms and friendly staff.

This hotel was just ok. There was no fridge in the room. The radiator heat had no temp control and the heat blasted all night. We called downstairs and were told to open the window. It served it's purpose but there are very few amenities

What an amazing location! While it is an older building, and fairly basic amenities, it was the perfect home base to be out exploring Seattle! The staff was friendly, and there’s a great little cafe attached to the lobby for your morning coffee. However, being right downtown, it can get a bit loud in the evening so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! Would absolutely stay here again.
3.0
The hotel was old and a bit rundown and didn’t have much more than a bed. Even the toilet paper was on a shelf because the ensuite didn’t have a toilet roll holder. Windows were thin glass and the street was noisy. Was cheaper than other hotels in the area and now we know why. Convenient for access to the ferry to Vancouver Island. Not sure I would trust the staff to much.

Check-in was easy, we checked in an hour early. The room was clean, bed comfortable, there were two fans, the T.V. Worked great, I loved the claw foot tub! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The slight downsides were the lock on the room door was difficult to open and lock back up, and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I would stay here again, I’d just bring my own pillow.

Good centralized and near to cruiser.
