Great place, nothing fancy, just a quaint clean room with a comfortable bed. If you are looking for reasonably priced lodging right in the middle of everything this is a great place.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and warm during the winter. The building and the furniture is a bit older but the location was perfect, close to all locations for the best places in Newport.

Weve stayed there before. Its an older property but its close to the waterfront. Floors are creaky but thats what you get with a hotel this old.

Was a great overnight stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They had great suggestions for places around town and were very welcoming. The room was small and cozy. The shower was great. The only thing I’d change was the mattress was stiff for my taste, but my partner had no problem.

Great location, historic building, and possibly the most attentive and kind hotel staff I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. While I was a little confused at first by the switched (or in some cases unplugged) lights and the pervasive heat/unopenable windows, they did little to detract from the incredible people, delicious breakfast, and beautiful, well-kept space. In truth, the biggest pros of the hotel were not the room itself, even if the spacious bathroom and large tub were quite nice, but the walking distance to so much of Newport's wonderful attractions and the merciful existence of onsite parking. The staff were communicative and helpful at all times from before checking in to after checking out, and that really puts this place over the top for me. Next time I vacation in Newport, I know exactly where I'm going.

The Cleveland House was AMAZING! Beautifully decorated! The bed was so comfortable. Our host was very helpful in recommending restaurants and things to see. WONDERFUL ACCOMMODATIONS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :)

It was quaint and a lovely location. The accommodation was not exactly our preferred. We were awaken early by other guests enjoying breakfast outside our room from early this morning.

Cleveland House is in a perfect location and the price was reasonable. Our room was clean and coffee was available in the morning. Rick was very welcoming and a great source of information for what to do in Newport. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price of our room. We opted to purchase the breakfast one morning. The breakfast was convenient and delicious, but we will skip it on our next because of the price. We would recommend a stay there and will return.

Very enjoyable stay and accommodation. We loved the staff hospitality and the location was very convenient for walking to the local scene. The room was tastefully decorated, comfy bed and bedding. We will once stay at The Cleveland House Inn on our next trip.

Bed frame crooked on one side. Mattress spring crunching when moving. When spoke to management it felt like they already knew the problem. Good luck to the next person. Heads up Room 204!

Chose this property based on price, location and availability of parking. Staff was pleasant and property was clean and as expected, however, we were shown to a room that was clearly not what we booked, that was already occupied (very awkward for both us and the occupant who walked in while we were still in the room). We were given a different room in another building which appeared to be a family suite and worked out fine. The air conditioning worked great which we were grateful for as the building's common areas were quite warm (to be expected with older historic homes). Parking was convenient and we appreciated being able to leave our vehicle past check-out time. Overall this property suited our needs and we would stay again.

Staff were so nice, room was really cute with a nice view of the street, a window seat, and my own bathroom. There’s a bike shop about 2 blocks away where I was able to rent a bike to get around Newport.

I was upgraded to the Kingscote Suite when I arrived which was absolutely beautifully decorated. It was quiet and well kept. Rick (host) was pleasant and full of information and gave suggestions on where and when to have dinner. Because of the upgrade we were not provided the breakfast as promised; otherwise it was fantastic!! I would definitely stay there again!!

By far the best thing about Cleveland House the Location! We never used our car after arrival til going home. I have some medical problems but the longest walk was 15min to the Tennis Hall of Fame. Our Jacquizzi tub didn’t work & the AM of check out there were tiny ants in our room. Early check-inn @12:30pm was great. Only used continental breakfast, which was handy. Having a clock in the room would have been good.
