I really loved it.

Nice little hotel and convenient location. We had a miscommunication with our taxi pick up but the hotel made up for it with a upgrade to a bigger room.
The receptionist was friendly and always willing to help.

We booked 3 nights online through Hotels.com at Hanoi Vision Boutique Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel to check in on December 25, 2023 the receptionist told us that they are shifting us to another hotel named Vision Premier Hotel and walked us for about 15 minutes with all the luggages and our children to that hotel.
They put us to room 801 at the 8th floor but the elevator runs until 6th floor. This is a very old, dirty and dilapidated hotel and the total service is below standard and nothing similar or closer to the advertised hotel and the pictures at Hotels.com
The room had sewer smell and it felt like we were sleeping in a toilet. We complained and the owner’s daughter came in and sent a technician to fix the issue but they couldn’t solve the problem. Then they moved us to a smaller room with one double bed and one single bed for the four of us. Although we paid for two double beds.
The breakfast is very basic and sub-standard. We saw a spider in the breakfast area and the door of the breakfast area faces a busy street, a hospital and mostly they kept it open which allowed dusts to enter in. The utensils were also not fully cleaned.
Only good thing about the hotel is the location ( located in the Haon Kiem Area) and the friendly-helpful staff.

The location is fantastic, right next to St Joseph’s Cathedral. We were able to walk to all of the Hanoi sights from here. The hotel is amazingly quiet and peaceful inside, considering how close it is to all of the action.
We booked the executive room for our family of 4 and it suited us very well. 2 queen size beds seperated by the bathroom in between. Great little balcony too with a fabulous side view of the cathedral. Highly recommend for an affordable hotel right in the thick of it.

All staff are so kind.we consulted tour and they recommended us very quickly.
It was helpful that they changed the bath towel and put water bottles on it for free every day.
The breaker fell off several times when I turned on the dryer, but it got better soon.
The place is located on the inside of a crowded place, and it looks suspicious but quiet.
Breakfast was also very delicious

I have no idea how this hotel came so highly rated, stay away! We stayed three nights, and here is what my impressions were:
First off the pictures are deceptive at best. They are of probably the best room in the entire hotel, or highly outdated, because the place does not look like that in real life. Expect dirty walls, doors to hallways that bleed lots of light, barely functioning air conditioning, a grimy entrance and floorboards that are coming up. That was our first night. Also finding the place was hard since the address doesn't match with Google maps so we had to ask around for it.
We went to breakfast the next morning, which is in a different hotel (the "Premier"), 2 blocks away. At least the Pho was good, but nothing else really on offer, not that I'd want to eat it anyways since everything was dirty. Even the water glasses. We made a reservation for a tour for the next day at the hotel (after them badgering us every time we passed if we wanted one) and explored Ha Noi. When we got back, the air-con was on its last legs but we made it through the night.
They serve breakfast between 7 and 10, but assured us that we could grab some. We arrived at 7am sharp, and they hadn't even started laying it out yet!
Our aircon broke that night, and after switching rooms they woke us up at 5.30 am to ask our names, nothing else!
Next morning, playing dumb about the wake up, they continued to try sell tours although we had checked out and had another one.
Complete disaster.

Great are to explore Hanoi very close to the cathedral 😊

Great spot with decent rooms and service in a fantastic location - old quarter, hoan kiem easily accessible on foot. It's certainly not luxury but for the price is excellent value for money. Mattresses were a bit uncomfortable/old but otherwise cannot fault.

The location is excellent to access to sightseeing and shopping as well as restaurants.
Lily was experienced staff for information about Hanoi.

The location was really wonderful and the room was so comfortable.
But the most wonderful things in this hotel is a staff. Lily helps me very well and her support was super great.
Actually, during my stays, I have many thing I needed to ask her help.
She was always willing to help me in English, and can you believe?, actually she borrowed me her phone when I was in trouble with not sim free phone:(
Thanks to her my stays in Hanoi becomes much better than I guessed.
and understand my situations.

Staff was super helpful and nice.
Property on the other hand was outdated. Our room was not clean, bathroom was gross and just not it. We only stayed one night then left to another hotel. Location is good.

A budget hotel - small, a bit outdated - in the center of the Old quarter. The location is very convenient and safe, but my bathroom was quite cramped, the water pressure - a bit low, and the room had an extremely old loud air conditioning unit.

Excellent location but it was the staff that nade it so special. Ling and Hao in particular, went out of their way to help me and make stay more enjoyable.

This hotel is on a relatively small quiet street and it is in a greet location. We had some very quiet sleeps. The owners are struggling to maintain the hotel.

Wonderful hotel In the old quarter and within walking distance to all the sights. Check in was easy and the room was lovely. Basic, but everything you need. The front desk can also arrange tours and airport transfers. Definitely recommend:)

The staff was really kind and courteous, definitely go out of their way to take care of you. Expedia had a booking error so no rooms were available when I showed up, but they were very efficient in addressing the issue-- transporting me to another hotel nearby and upgrading me to a deluxe room the next night. Very centrally located, convenient for exploring Old Quarter on foot.

If it wasn’t for the hotel from desk clerk Daisy, I would have all mad faces.
Good: Daisy’s customer service. She helped us with EVERYTHING. Our entire party of 6 AND family members who came to see us. She helped with everything we asked for. Thank goodness she knew English. The pho in the morning is good. Everything thing else in the morning is okay. Lots of fruit options. Right in the middle of Old Town Hanoi. If you are looking to stay in old town (I wouldn’t again).
Bad: Don’t let the photos fool you. If it were America, it would be a 2-3/4 star hotel. This may have changed but when I booked the hotel 12/2019, this hotel had a 4 star rating. The rooms are not nice. Stains on the wall. No good views. The shower is the most annoying thing in the rooms. LEAKS. I had three rooms. All leaked puddles. Dirty wet floor is just gross. Beds not comfortable. MICE running around. Buffet of breakfast food is TINY and the seating area is TINY. The night crew....they shouldn't even get paid. The location is an inconvenience when you’re trying to get dropped off and picked up with all your luggage. Vehicles do not fit on the street. So you have to get dropped off a block away.
I would not stay here again.

Nice, cosy and clean room. Walking distance to night market, places and foods. Receptionist Daisy is so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the day trip to Bai Dinh-Trang An-Mua Cave arranged by Daisy.
Location is great as all tour arrangements can pick us up at the hotel lobby including airport transfer.

Decent quiet boutique hotel in Hanoi. It’s a nice escape from the noisy streets. The staff are wonderful and helped us decide how to spend our 2 days. Breakfast was ok. Rooms are small but functional. Overall very clean. Very small hotel and no lounge areas except the breakfast tables downstairs, which was fine for us

Staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, speak English and nice. Great location with lots of food options around there. It’s within walking distance from the famous lake in Hanoi, church, night market and drinking street. They give u a nice breakfast. Wifi is good. The only downfall is that it’s hidden so you can’t drive right to the front door and need to go in a alley. (No cars) but it’s kind of cool because in the alleys there’s lots of foods. BUT honestly it’s nice little break from the busy roads of Hanoi. I would highly recommend staying here and would come back.

When you think a good deal is too good to be true...it probably is. I booked here based on the good price and positive reviews, but had a very different experience. There is no way this is a 3-star hotel.
I'll start with the good things: the staff were very professional and accommodating. The breakfast was ok. The location is great. Cheap for a private room.
The downside: My first room had a toilet that sprayed water everywhere when the plumbing was used in another room, the air conditioner didn't work, the sheets were old and stained, there was no real window, and there were these weird leaf/snail bugs on the wall. Also the nice reading lights attached next to the bed droop down and therefore are useless.
After the first night I asked to change rooms, and the staff was very accommodating. However the second room was worse. The sheets were still stained, the bed coils pushed through for an unexpected "massage," and there was mold all over the ceiling in the shower. The leaf bugs followed me there. The window was a prison-like shoe box. I slept on top of the bedspread. But the air conditioner worked!

We paid to stay at this specific hotel, they moved us to 2 different hotels, and didn’t tell us why. We never got the room we paid for, took us about 2 hours before we were in a room, and we still don’t know why this happened.

When arrived to hotel, receptionist said that they dont have our room available that we had allready paid online for one night.
They said there is another room available in another hotel 20-30 meters away.
Room they were offering was bigger as they said, but it was much lower quality. Wallpapers were hanging from the wall behind beds, white walls were stained and dirty and bathroom was very cheap looking. Meaning, this was nothing like the room we allready paid for.
Price for this room was about 1/3 cheaper than our original room.
We complained about this and asked for a refund from the different price, or 2 nights for the price we allready paid for this room they were offering. Receptionist went to call someone, and after a while we walked back to reception to ask what is going to happen, and suddenly they had room available.
Im still not sure, if this was the room we originally booked but it was 10 times better than the room they were pushing us in. Tired of travelling we took the room.
When we asked for a refund for this inconvenience that they had caused (like a free late check out) they declined, like from our earlier suggestions about 2 nights in lower-class hotel for the price of one. This didnt leave that good feeling.
Now that the worst part is out of my shoulders:
Room was clean and facilities were good, bed was comfy and breakfast which was included was above average and we enjoyed it.

Vision boutique is so conveniently located. The staff is lovely. We stayed two places in Hanoi and this was definitely our favorite. It’s in an alley that gives you a local flavor for sure and everything walking distance in old quarter. Good internet ✅ We didn’t book any tours at the hotel as their prices were more expensive than the other booking companies on the street. They will nearly beg you to buy from them though. A+ hotel though with a solid and delicious breakfast.
