It is a cheap clean comfortable room in the middle of Elko. The only complaint is parking sucks for pickup trucks. But was pleasantly surprised by the quality of bed and pillows and cleanliness!

This is a basic motel, & for that category was pretty nice. They've obviously put a lot of work into renovations & mostly did a nice job. Some thoughtful touches like curved shower curtain rod to make it feel more spacious, attractive bathroom tile & fixtures. I don't understand why so many people commented on a comfy bed - maybe some have been replaced & not others, but mine was a standard old-style innerspring mattress with no comfy pillow top or anything. It wasn't horrible but also wasn't especially comfy. Missed the mark on some things - baseboard molding wasn't properly installed or painted, so looked dirty when I think it was just poor coverage. I will stay the person who checked me in was exceptionally nice & friendly. It was also very quiet despite being on the main street of town (we had an "inside" room with windows on the back side of the property). Overall I think it was a great value for the price.

Owners were very nice, check in was simple. Parking lot was small. Room was small but plenty of room for the 2 of us. Room and bathroom were very clean, bed was comfy.

Bathroom had sink reoved and put into closet space. Bathroom needs a counter or hooks to place clothes so they arent on the floor. Shower head wasn't adjustable and I'm 5 ft tall, it was so low it sprayed my face. Remodelled whole bathroom and didnt do the extra step to raise and extend the shower head.

Staff courteous, helpful. We needed to park a horse trailer and there really wasn't room and he helped us find room in the parking lot. Breakfast is basic but I'd still stay anytime!

My stay was fine, the breakfast was not fine. Cold sugary cereal old bread, waffle iron took 9 minutes, no butter for toast, was not what I expected. Parking was bad. Not staying there again.

Stopped at this motel after a long day of driving and it was a very positive experience! Staff was very friendly and attentive, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and price was very reasonable. We would for sure stay here again if ever traveling cross country again.

An old-fashioned drive-up motel, which I like for convenience. The interior had the best renovation I have seen at this price point. Very good for an overnight stop and for the price. Good internet and tv.

Service from the staff was great, but this property could reach that next level if some work was done to improve the parking lot and exterior. But the biggest thing is improving the rooms. The bathroom looked to be recently redone, however the carpet was old and stained. And the worst thing is that I pulled off the sheet and checked the mattress/box spring and it looked like a crime scene.

The fire door did not work properly. The breakfast was inadequate.

This place really has great value for money! The room was nice and clean and in a good state. The receptionist/manager was very helpful and nice. I do recommend to stay here.

Clean, comfortable & quiet. Met our needs for a one night “passing through” stay.

When one is booking rather last-minute deals, one may have to take what they can get. But when you see a hotel with an almost 9/10 rating for under a hundred bucks, you kind of need to check that one out. First reaction pulling in... "How is this place getting this rating?" But, the lobby was clean and well-organized, the Owner/manager was on duty and present, and they were helpful and accommodating (I was on crutches at the time). Obviously this is an older hotel that has been remodeled and seriously updated. The room was clean, neat, and had everything we needed. The remodel was not like most older hotels where they just paint over everything and pretend it is good. Plumbing, electrical, fixtures, bathroom... all have been efficiently and gracefully upgraded. Tile throughout, and the bathroom/shower look and work nicely. Great service, great showers, very clean, very well-maintained, this place is a gem for the money. Not fancy, but very well updated and maintained. I will definitely keep Stay Express in mind for any future stays in Elko.

An older hotel building that has been nicely modernized. Spacious room. Clean.

I enjoyed the convenience and accessibility to the freeway. The staff was polite . The room was clean and quiet. Overall we had a good experience. I would recommend this place for staying.

The bedsheet was not changed, see stains, hairs and sands on the bed. Feet iching at night, very strong smell of cleaner in the cover, like I was sleeping in the hospital. Saw they had 9.3 rating couple of years ago, and if they are continuing manage like this, I am not surprised if the rating dropping more.

The staff was super nice! The rooms were very clean, super duper clean! Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot and plenty of pressure. This will be our “spot” to stay in Elko from now on. For the price you get a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room too!
