The parking area is a bit far from the place we stayed, requiring us to take a shuttle bus. If we return to the hotel late at night, we will have to walk back on foot, which is quite inconvenient.

We are over 85 year old couples and they assigned our room in third floor. Unfortunately no elevator. So we asked first floor instead but were asked for extra charge for over ¥52700 We finally took second floor without extra charge. We are disappointed that one of the best hotel around the world without elevators

Beautiful resort. So pretty during Autumn season. Come here to enjoy the scenery and slow things down. We really enjoyed the breakfast and onsen facility here. Love their afternoon tea and sake bar!

There are too many steps and stairs and no elevator the hotel is not suitable for handcapped person and seniors.

It'll be better if this property is more accessible from JR station. No one wants to wait in the cold wind for 20mins to wait for a bus or taxi.

We stayed in a beautiful secluded mountain view room with overhanging trees offering the perfect amount of privacy for our patio. Our room exuded such a calm & peaceful vibe & feel of a zen garden from the faint smell of calming incense

Unforgettable experience for hoshinoya Kazuizawa. Nice attitude and considerable personality of staff. We enjoy the travel and are willing to share with friends.

Very beautiful resort, with spacious rooms, and excellent, timely service without being intrusive. Food was also great, although there could have been more breakfast options.
The only slight issue is its inconvenient location, but there is a shuttle bus service to and from Karuizawa station, which helps.

Overall a good experience, but on the 2nd day of our stay, we came back to the room at 2pm in the afternoon and Housekeeping has yet to visit and cleaned up the room, so that was a let down, considering the resort.
However, the description given in hotels.com site was misleading, as it promised mountain views but when we checked into the hotel, they said that the room wasn’t one with mountain views.

Hotel facilities are very clean and convenient. The bed is really comfortable. The service is exceptional!!

The room is too small for 2 adults plus 2 kids. Not able to change from one king size bed room to two duoble bed room. Quite disappointed.
The in-room breakfast is fantastic though!
