The Residence Inn in Hunt Valley is our reliable go-to hotel for when we visit our family who live in the area. It has a convenient location, a spacious room that can accommodate 4 and has a small, well equipped kitchenette, per the usual Residence Inn’s clever lay-out. Staff are friendly and the communal space in the lobby is welcoming and lends itself to large gatherings of family or friends, with lots of nooks for smaller private parties. There’s also a nice patio space with tables and seating.

Excellent room with all the conveniences of home. Very comfortable bed. Great location near Hunt Valley Shops and light rail service into Baltimore.

I was pretty annoyed that they had sold out of the room that I had reserved for 2 months in advanced. When I checked in the lady said I could get a refund and there was no more rooms left even though mine was paid for. It was terrible you should be able to have that room reserved if you already paid for it.

Beds were definitely not pillow top. Furniture was cheap and uncomfortable,not what I expected from a Marriott. The girl at the front desk on Dec.18@ around 3pm, should not have been working check in. Maybe she was having a bad day,which we all have,but she made us feel like she was doing us a favor. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. We had a problem with the coffee maker,and Housekeeping was great in responding promptly. The young man was super nice. Except for check-in, our stay was fine.

This was a very nice place. The front desk was very attentive and pleasant. Very clean and spacious!! We would, for sure, stay here again!!

The staff were really nice and accommodating. The pillows on the beds were very lumpy and need to be replaced and the beds were a little too firm for my taste but overall a great property, very clean, and very nice staff. I would certainly stay here again.

The property overall was fine, but could use a refresh on the rooms as they are getting a little long eared and worn. The biggest disappointment was the breakfasts, which was great on Day 1, but got progressively more limited each day of my stay

This property is in poor condition. We stayed in room 101 and the bathroom door wouldn't open from the inside, there were indents in the fridge from where someone punched it, one of the chairs was completely frayed, and the couch was also in poor condition. The indoor pool and the outdoor firepit were both closed.

The property was fine. No real strong complaints. Clean, friendly, comfortable, and convenient off I83. Breakfast was ok for all but the snobbiest people. For us mere mortals, breakfast was just fine. The only complaints I have are that only half the lights around the vanity were working, there was a strong urine smell in the hallway and cigarette smoke wafted into my room which was a non-smoking room. Now the lights issue could probably have been resolved with a call to the front desk and the urine smell I guess can't be that big of a complaint because it is a pet-friendly hotel after all, but the cigarette smell is really unacceptable for a non-smoking room. All in all, though, I plan on staying there next time I am in town so I guess the hotel is considered, by me, to be perfectly acceptable.

Overall average stay. The room was nice and large with a big kitchen. Bathroom was dated, showerhead needs replaced. Old carpet in living area should be replaced with newer flooring. The room smelled like urine when we first got here, but we didn't notice it the next day. Otherwise clean room. The website showed a whirlpool in the pool area, but has been removed. That's pretty much the reason I booked this hotel. Breakfast was great and had a lot of options.
I expected more from a Marriot. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Be aware that this hotel is a pet friendly hotel and they do not differentiate pet rooms from other rooms. My first room was clearly a cat room, which caused me to have allergies. The chairs were shredded from cats scratching. The room was also very old, with stains and spills on the floor, upholstery, etc. After realizing it was a pet room, I requested and received another room. The second room had a hole dug in the carpet, apparently from a dog. And no soaps were provided in my second room, nor bath floor mat.

The check in was quick and easy, our suite was quite nice. My only complaint was I found white stains on the couch and pillows - it needs deep cleaning. I also didn’t appreciate that other guests were leaving their mounds of trash outside their room and no one was picking them up. This would knock off points in cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel facility. Otherwise, or stay was fine.

The room was spacious and clean. It offers a full kitchen, desk, and couch. The tv swivels to face the working space and the bed. Staff was friendly as well. Nice place.

I have stayed at this property before this and this was a disappointing experience in terms of the room. The shower had one very long and wide crack in the tile while mold and mildew could grow, as well as a smaller on that could have had the same types of growth. In addition, the sofa was filthy, there were stains and spots in 2-3 places on it that were obvious. I understand the reason for no extra pillows and blankets...perhaps that is something that could be on the website.
