When I check in the hotel lady was sitting inside of office,near by office door with no shoes on. Didn't expect that in a HOTEL like Residence Inn.
Room Kitchen is ok to keep food, but you can tell the pot and folks didn't clean well. When I washed the pot and try to boil some hot water, you can see a lot of stuff floating on the serface. Still has food in between the folk
Little bugs all around, very tinny one. You can try to put a piece of apple on table. will suprise you how many little friends on it.
fresh tower with loong hair in it, and white tower not really bleached well, you can see gray colors.

Room had no hot water after 9pm. It was cold and rainy out, wanted to take a hot shower and relax after being out but …. NO HOT WATER!! Tried to call back for more info or status, no response!

At first we were given a room on the first floor facing a busy street. It was obvious that some of the guests lived there and it just gave a homeless drug addict vibe. I immediately went back to the front desk amd asked for a different room. We were given. Room on the second floor facing the parking lot, which was much better. The couch was really uncomfortable and you sink to the bottom upon sitting down. There was a lamp shade above the table that had obvious water damage but was not replaced. The bed was not very comfortable either. The “blanket” was a plastic-like feel that the filling was sliding to the other side.
In the morning when we were leaving many of the people that live there were flocking to the breakfast area. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here but it will be the last.

Best towels I have ever seen in a hotel. Absorbent and big, unlike those thin postage stamp things.

It was ok. The room had a desperate need of updating. Everything was kind of old and sad. Then there was an alarm early in the morning that turned out to be a water leak. But we all ran out as we thought it was a fire. So there should have been some employees directing people. Then we had no water the rest of the day. Should have got credit for a free room.

This is a great hotel for value. The room has kitchen besides all the nice bed and bathroom. I would only think the refrigerator is a little loud but not enough to wake me up from my sleep. LOL!

Ive stayed in more expensive motels, I've stayed in hotels in Hawaii, Vegas and other cities, that have costed way more then the Residence INN, by Marriott, I checked in late, and Chris checked me in, I couldn't believe his customer service, we got to are room, I checked bathroom, clean! The whole staff was great down to the cleaning ladies, breakfast was included and hot, will definetly stay here again!!

The pull out couch was terrible, it was all ripped up from the sides and as soon as you played in it, it sank and you could feel all the coils. We tried layering up the blankets on it but it made no difference.
House keeping was minimal before our stay there. The room was messy and there was trash left behind. A

There was a water issue we were notified of at check in, but it was corrected overnight. Things were very clean and the room we had was nicely laid out. Staff were all very friendly!

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast offerings were good, fresh and plentiful. The Hotel is modern and there were many places to hangout and not have to stay in our rooms.

My family and I stayed for 1 night and our kids loved the room.
I still couldn’t believe that we got that room; king bed with a pull out; for the price we did. We had to change our reservation from 12/22 to 12/29 because we all got sick before Christmas but it ended up working out better for us in the long run.
We loved the fact that the room had a microwave, full fridge with ice maker, utensils, and a dishwasher.
The breakfast was awesome and had a bit of everything. My kids enjoyed hot fluffy and fresh made waffles along with bacon and juice. While the wife and I had eggs, muffins, fruit and coffee.
Overall the staff was nice and friendly, we had no problems checking in and had all our questions asked.
We will definitely be staying there in the future whenever we travel that area again.

We have not used the property and still changed the full price for all the days. Because of sudden sickness, we had to cancel the trip. Yes, property can charge some penalty but charging full price is unfair. And do not understand what is the advantage of booking through Expedia, if they can not help their customers in such situations ? When called the property they say talk to Expedia as booking through them. And when called to Expedia, they say the property is not willing to make any refunds or credits to be used to stay in the same property, if not any Marriott property. This does not provide you comfort of being cared for as a customer.

Awesome property! We will definitely visit again. We were able to utilize all the amenities except for the pool because it was a little cold, but we were able to use the grill and fire pit and it was great!

Area was very quiet and the Check In Desk Rep were Kind. But When I enter the Room and open the Cabinet under the Sink I found one live Cockroach. I called the Front Desk and I asked for the Manager but he was not available nor called me back. I worked up next day morning and one more Cockroach came out. I called the Front Desk and asked for Manager but he was not available and never called me back. I can always moved the Room to other Room but I was very disappointed about Manager being negligence about this issue. And this Hotel is not like motel. It is Marriot and I am also a member of Marriot Bonvoy. It is not like $ 100 per night room. I spent over $ 300 per night. I think this is their Maintenance Problem.

It was convenient to a family gathering we were attending. The breaakfast was very good and had a different menu each day.
The elevators were having problems which caused a line to form. I am sure they are fixed by now.

Overall, not too bad, but I did expect better from a Marriott location.
There was a hole in the carpet, and the carpet was frayed on the edges near the refrigerator. The refrigerator was wobbly because one of the support legs that screws on was missing. The refrigerator also had a hose that was sticking out from the side that was dripping water. The toaster didn’t work.
On the plus side, I had oatmeal for breakfast (offered as part of the hot breakfast in the lobby), bacon, and a turkey patty. The bathroom was clean upon arrival, and the tv swiveled, so I could watch from the couch or the bed.

We had a few problems with ordering through Expedia so next time we are booking directly through the hotel. We had broken TV in first room, moved to a smaller, noisier and smellier room that accommodated pets but the manager came through and gave us a larger, quieter and better room closer to our other family members. We will stay here again when visiting CSUSM granddaughter!

Clean quiet place centrally located to everything!! The front desk gentleman was very helpful and friendly. The a.m. breakfast was good. Will stay there again!

Dog was barking in the next room. Took 2 phone calls to make it stop. Also moved rooms because first one smelled of smoke. Second room did too but not as bad
